I come here regularly because it never fails. They crush it and on the off chance they don't, they make it right. Love their vibe and all their techs. 10/10 and all the 5 stars
I have been going to J Salon for the past 3 years and there's a reason why I keep going back - their work is impeccable! I always leave admiring my nails, and because I get the strengthening manicure, my nails always last me 5+ weeks. Their prices are higher than other places I've seen but it truly reflects the work of the service and lifetime of the manicure. Their salon is always welcoming and everything is so clean. I will be getting married soon and can't wait to get my wedding nails done here too!
It was my first time visiting J Salon and I already cannot wait for my next appointment! The staff is so kind, the space is clean, and the service is just incredible. I showed up just a little early for my appointment and they sat me down and got to work immediately. I saw Angela for a Russian Manicure. I came in with a very old manicure and therefore some crazy nails and she fixed them up beautifully. I highly recommend you see her. I definitely recommend J Salon to anyone who is looking to get an amazing Russian Manicure, which I personally think is hard to find in Chicago!
Has been one of my favorite nail salons! I started coming when I moved to West Loop and it's constantly so professional, I have seen many of the staff and it's always great quality, very kind. Also my nails last soooo long - truly is 5-6 weeks and no breaks of nails/chipping.
I had a wonderful experience at J Salon with Asel and Viktoria. Both nail technicians are professional and attentive. The atmosphere is modern and inviting. I love my new look! I always leave taken care of :)
Love J Salon for Russian manicures! I'm always happy leaving the salon. Grateful I found the salon
The BEST Russian manicures in the area, with the best prices! I live in the suburbs about 40 minutes away and the drive is always worth it. I have never been disappointed with any of the nail techs and always appreciate how detailed they are.
It's been about three weeks since my first appointment with Valentyna at J Salon, and I felt compelled to come back and share an update. I genuinely cannot believe the growth and health of my nails in such a short time. I have never seen my natural nails this long or this strong, especially considering my history with nail biting and cuticle picking. And this transformation started after just one session with her! I went back for my second appointment, and the experience was just as exceptional. Valentyna put the same level of time, care, and intention into my manicure as she did the first. You can truly see it in the quality of her work, everything looks incredibly clean, polished, and thoughtfully done. Beyond the physical results, the impact she's had on my confidence is something I honestly struggle to put into words. I feel so much more comfortable and proud of my hands (sounds silly, but most women know!), which is something I never thought I'd say. I am beyond grateful to be Valentyna's client and feel so lucky to have found her. If you're on the fence, especially if you've ever felt self-conscious about your nails, I cannot recommend her enough.
I have been going to J Salon since September 2025 when I was searching for a salon that truly specializes in Russian manicures. J Salon provides the best, most top tier manicures I have ever received from any salon. I travel from the Chicago suburbs into the city every 4 to 5 weeks to get my nails done and it is worth it every single time! Taya is my manicurist and she is incredible! She is not only kind and friendly but also extremely talented at what she does. My nails come out perfect every single visit. J Salon also provides an experience that stands out from most salons I have been to. The space is very clean, the attention to detail is exceptional, and the customer service is wonderful! They offer everyone a drink after checking in and even hang up your coat during your appointment. I am so happy that I have found my forever nail salon at J Salon!
If you're looking for the best nail salon in the West Loop, J Salon is truly unmatched. I've been getting my nails done monthly for over 15 years, and this is by far the best salon I've ever been to and the healthiest my nails have ever been. The nail and cuticle work is absolutely amazing and incredibly precise. They take their time and pay attention to every tiny detail, and it shows. My nails have never looked better or felt better. They are the strongest they've ever been, and the results are always flawless and long-lasting. I consistently get 4+ weeks of wear with zero chips or lifting, which still amazes me. Every nail tech here is highly skilled, creative, patient, and truly passionate about what they do. They're happy to give ideas if you're unsure, but can also flawlessly recreate any inspiration photo you bring in. The talent level across the board is incredible. Some of my personal favorites are Taya, Mary, Tori, and Nilyusha, but honestly you can't go wrong with any technician every single one is amazing and highly talented. Beyond the quality of the work, the entire salon is warm and professional. You feel welcomed, cared for, and completely confident you're in expert hands. I recommend J Salon to everyone I know without hesitation. If you care about beautiful, healthy, strong nails that last, this is the place.
I can't say enough good things about Mariana and J Salon. For over a year, Mariana has taken exceptional care of my nails, and the difference is undeniable. Her Russian manicure technique has completely transformed the health of my nails; stronger overall, incredibly clean nail beds and cuticles, and consistently beautiful results. She also truly understands a classic red, almond-shaped nail and executes it perfectly every time. Beyond her technical skill, Mariana is kind, efficient, responsive to feedback, and deeply trustworthy. She takes pride in her work and it shows. My manicures last a solid four weeks, and honestly, I could easily push them another week if needed. More often than not, I'm still getting compliments on my nails the very day I'm heading in for my next appointment. Mariana is also navigating an exciting life change, and I've been so impressed by how proactive and thoughtful she's been, clearly communicating her timeline and genuinely supporting me in transitioning to another nail tech at J Salon. That level of care says everything about her professionalism and character. I've referred countless women to J Salon, and every one of them has been impressed. The space itself is bright, airy, and immaculately clean, with plenty of room for both clients and nail techs to feel comfortable and unrushed during appointments. I already have my appointments booked through July and highly recommend J Salon to anyone who truly invests in their nails and nail health. Book ahead months ahead if you can. They are worth every penny, and I'm so grateful I found them over a year ago. I am only two days into my new nails and I'm already collecting compliments. Thank you, Mariana!
Reviews are largely positive. Many highlight long-lasting manicures, skilled and detail-oriented technicians, and a clean and modern space. People also appreciate the friendly customer service.

I was really anxious going into my wedding day because I just haven't been consistently getting my nails done so didn't have a go to girl for my wedding nails. I booked at J Salon and let me tell you- this was the best decision. IRINA did an incredible job , like next level detail. My nails turned out so amazing and I'm so happy. Seriously the best nail experience I've ever had. read more

I have been a loyal customer ever since my first visit back in April! I always used to have trouble growing my nails out because they would break and snag very easily. I started with gel extensions, and then when my nails grew out enough I switched to no-chip. The strengthening gel they use for their no-chip manis is super strong and allows my nails to grow without breaking. I never thought my real nails could grow out this long and look so beautiful!!! All of the nail techs are very highly skilled. I typically book whoever is available and they always turn out great. In my opinion, the quality of the service is worth every penny. I will say they are often fully booked so make sure to schedule your appointments in advance. Sometimes I have had luck reaching out on Instagram to see if they have any cancellations. Their customer service is excellent! I can't say enough good things about this place. I will never go anywhere else for nails, J Salon is the only spot for me! read more

I started coming here in April 2023 and have been returning about once a month since. I began with extensions which has allowed me to grow out my natural nails and now do the overlay. I believe their price is fair considering the attention to detail spent on cuticle work and cleanliness. They use a clean set of equipment per client. I have great retention, my nails last a month and could honestly last longer but I don't like the look of grown out nails. I usually come in with a picture from Pinterest and they have no problem replicating it. My last set was done by Mary and they turned out perfect as they replicated a picture I had shown from Pinterest. I will say it's important to book ahead by probably a week at least. Their weekend appointments fill up very fast and it's hard to get in if you want a Friday or Saturday appointment last minute. That being said I've never had an issue with making an appointment. This is my forever nail salon! read more

Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re so glad to…
Honestly disappointed in my experience, after having high expectations. Maybe it's because I got a regular manicure vs gel with art, but I'd rather pay the extra $5 to get a regular manicure at the other nail salon I frequent. I got my nails done on Friday, and didn't love how they looked when I walked out. The polish application was not smooth, you can see the strokes on my nails and not even layers with the bottoms semi translucent. It's only been 3 days and my thumb is mostly chipped at the bottom. It's a holiday weekend, trust me I've done no manual or hand intensive labor. None of the ends of the nails were coated with polish and sealed with top coat so here we are. I also expected a lot more cuticle / skin clean up as I have a tendency to pick at my cuticles when they're overgrown, but instead much of the skin was left as is. My nail tech was professional and nice enough, I just wish my nails came out better. read more

My favorite salon to go to. I never have to worry about the quality of nails or if the place is up to standard. This is the only place I trust to do my manicures and pedicures. I'm very particular especially about my toes. I had a very bad experience at a different salon where the same tools that were used on someone else were used on me right after without proper sanitation. Here at J Salon everything is clean and they don't use the same tools. The bits are replaced and you get the quality and care you pay for. I don't have a specific nail tech I go to but ALL of the women there do a fantastic job. I haven't gotten my nails in 3 months and can always count on this place to give me the best manicure and pedicure. read more

Thank you for your glowing review and for the lovely compliments…
I have always been intrigued about Russian manicures, and as soon as I heard about NAB Beauty's style on TikTok (yes, they are going viral for a reason), I knew I had to try it. The appointment process was super easy. Through the "booking" portal, you get to choose the services you are interested in, and the beauty technician you want to work with. The website does a good job in describing every technicians skills and years of experience, so you know exactly what you're getting during your service. As soon as you schedule your appointment, you get a confirmation email right away. If you are a new client, you will receive a PDF with some legal terms and conditions that you'd have to go over and sign before your initial appointment. I highly suggest going through that in detail. The place itself is easy to locate, small yet cozy and they've done a really good job in keeping it clean. They have a great selection of colors and are also great at nail art. I ended up choosing the Dazzle Dry service (Russian style). The process is, as it says, "dry" but the technique heavily targets cuticles. It involves a nail drill and other special equipment to clean and remove all the excess skin around the nail bed. Some bleeding can occur, but don't be alarmed, it's normal and NAB Beauty's skilled technicians know exactly what they're doing to keep you safe and keep your nails from getting any sorts of infections. This process is a much healthier alternative to gel. It is cruelty-free, vegan, hypoallergenic, non-yellowing, long wearing, and quick drying. It can last up to two weeks without chipping IF you take good care of it. I'll be honest, two of my nails on my right hand have already chipped on day 2, but that is because I haven't taken good care of my nails in forever. They're extremely dry and brittle and tend to chip easily. The only reason why I didn't take one star off is because I know for a FACT I could return today and they would fix it free of charge. I sadly just do not have the time. During my appointment, a customer from the day before had a chip in one of her toe nails, and she had returned for a quick fix, which I am presuming is free of charge as I did not see her pay on her way out. I have high respect for these type of businesses because they honor their talent and skills, and their customer satisfaction is their top priority. Great find in the West Loop and I highly recommend this business. Till next time! read more

It officially marks 1 year since I decided to try them out. And they're amazing I have gone to multiple of their girls; Firuzla, Guncha, Vicky and Tori and they never disappoint. Every manicure I have gotten is very high quality and lasts me 4+ weeks. That says a lot considering I work with my hands a lot. I love how friendly the salon is, how neat and professional their work always is. I always recommend them to my friends, and have gotten a few to try them out. I will never go back to a regular mani. read more

Hello everyone! I have been a loyal client to J Salon since the beginning of 2024. I have been going there for manicure and pedicure every 3-4 weeks and I can't express how happy I am with their services. The team is very polite, nice and understanding. I am leaving this review with the latest manicure I got from Nastya. It's perfect! She finished in 1h and 10 min. That's a very fast turnaround for a Russian manicure. She's always very attentive to details and makes sure I get the best service! I love this place. read more

Hands down the best salon I have ever been to. I've been going here for over two years and I have never walked away disappointed (which happens almost every time anywhere else). J Salon is a 30+ min drive for me but it's worth it. Not only is their work flawless, it also lasts forever! I only go in at the 6 week mark because my nails have grown out. I've trusted them to do my nails for so many big events, including my wedding. Their color selection is awesome and the salon is very clean too! read more

The perfect nails each time! I am a nail technician and of course it's hard for me to do my own nails. The old salon I worked at recommended this place and let me share with you; since the first day I became a customer I was very pleased! I hope they stay open for a very long time as it is hard to find good nail salons. Each tech is great. I go to Taya now since I've gotten comfortable with her and she's super sweet! read more
