Absolutely loved it! My husband and I are enjoying a staycation this week so the nail salon was just around the corner from our place. A 3 min walk. There is 2 hr street parking so next time when I come perhaps I will find parking for my 90 minute mani-pedi service. Yanna was an absolute sweetheart. She made me feel very comfortable. So comfortable I feel asleep during the pedicure. ...and my nails look like perfection. I loved the house natural cuticle oil. This non-toxic salon is very clean. Nice art and soft uplifting music. No TV thank goodness. I got the no-chip mani for the 1st time. I'll be back in a month! The only thing that was lacking was the hand and foot massage- it was short, short, short. This is the part I most look forward to.
I waited a little bit because it was busy but loved how gentle and careful they were with my nails. I love my nails and I got Gel X with extensions which would keep my nails looking clean and good.
Best in the neighborhood! Detailed and clean, the ladies are so sweet. The builder gel is a must.
Let me start by saying I've been coming here for years. Tran is the best in the city, esp with acrylics! They truly pay attention to detail and try to accommodate your schedule for a last minute appointment. I travel a lot for work and always come back as they really are the best! My full sets always look natural and last for weeks. If any nail needs to be fixed they'll gladly do it for free. You're always getting great quality and amazing service here!
I've been coming to this salon for years back when it was Huron Nails and owned and by Julie and Tran. They sold their business in June and I've gone twice so far with the new owners and won't be coming back. New management appears to want to cater to a very specific demographic and ignores everyone else who doesn't fit that, which is unfortunate. First visit was 1-2 weeks after the business sold. I came away with a negative experience... I had an appointment for a mani and pedi and was fobbed off on two (seemingly) new technicians while the two co owners took walk in visits. The pedi technician struggled with the white nail polish and the mani technician seemed to be doing a new mani method with no water soak for the hands. Without soaking, my cuticles were harder to push and trim and it was somewhat painful. Barely greeted coming or going by either co owners (as a fellow Asian American woman, felt weird and almost intentional). Gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back for a second appointment and it was pretty much the same experience. Barely greeted coming or going, felt like I was being condescended to by both co owners and was fobbed off on another technician, who was a bit older but obviously has experience, but it was def her first day at this salon as she was getting in when I arrived for my appointment time. She was constantly asking where things were or asking for supplies (hot towel, acetone, cuticle oil, shears, lotion etc) from the co owners. She eventually asked if they had a box with everything in it and lo and behold one of the co owners, who wasn't busy and talking in her phone for most of my appointment, finally brought out a box with supplies in it with everything she needed. Why wouldn't you bring out the supply basket instead of waiting for my technician to ask for everything piece meal?? Definitely felt intentional and took away from my experience. I speak their language so was able to follow the saga. I had ok service by my actual technicians on both visits (see pic from last / second visit... nails are chipping and cuticles are rough 4 days after service!) but attitude and service by owners really rubbed me the wrong way. TLDR: if you're an Asian American, be prepared to feel v condescended to and be fobbed off on new technicians. Vibes are way off.
I've been coming to this nail spa for over 5 years. Back when Julie and Tran owned it, and now with the new owners! Leah and Ruby are amazing nail technicians! I'm so happy Julie and Tran left their nail salon in great hands! Both Leah and Ruby and gentle, super friendly and take their time to make sure their customers are happy throughout the appointment. Every time I get my nails done here, they last me for 3-4 weeks without chipping! This is literally the best nail salon in river north, their prices are competitive/reasonable and the salon is always super clean! You won't be disappointed to get your nails done here!
I originally reviewed this salon under different owners and wanted to update it. I absolutely love this salon! All the technicians are sweet and ask questions to make sure you get what you want. They are fairly efficient and are also helpful with color questions. The attention to detail is also outstanding. They gave me these beautiful shimmering nails for the holiday season! The salon is very clean and organized - markedly more so than any other salon I've been to in this area. They're also very welcoming. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic place! Everyone does a great job and the new owner is so awesome! I highly recommend you try them. Very clean and just a fun place to get your nails done.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Bilancia recently took over from Huron Nails and let me tell you, Bilancia is definitely the best nail experience I have ever had. I called ahead of time and told them I needed a mani/pedi for my wedding. They allotted special time for me and gave me probably the best look I have ever received. The ladies there were incredibly nice and we're working together to give me a wedding look on my natural nails (I only wanted no chip, no fake nails). Aya (I may have spelled that wrong) was so great and I will definitely be going back for my honeymoon nails. I appreciate these ladies so much!!!

I wish I could give this spot 4.5 stars! I had a great gel x manicure with Yana, she was very attentive and my nails look great. The salon is quiet and clean, and the owner had a really chill playlist going. The only reason it isn't five stars is that my cuticles aren't very clean (you can see in the pic) and we didn't have time for designs or even a dusting of glitter. I was about 20 mins late to my appointment (my bad). They still did the manicure, but there was no time for design or the pedicure I had booked. Still, gel x for $70 is not bad, and it was overall a good experience. I would try it again! read more

Well...I really wanted to love this place. The guy who answered the phone was nice, we were greeted when we walked in and promptly seated for our pedicure but it went down hill from there. 1. The person doing my pedicure didnt speak to me at all. Not sure if its a language barrier or not but not even hello. 2. I asked for gel pedicure - so when they saw I gel polish on my toes they had another lady remove it will the drill/file. Now she was nice and did speak but she was ROUGH with the drill and tore my skin off my toes. It was very painful!!!! - see photos 3. Since multiple toes were now raw the alcohol burned badly 4. The person completing my pedi scrubbed my heels until they bled. 5. If you dont bring cash they up charge you about $5 bucks for credit card I will NEVER go back to this place due to my injuries. Be aware if you are getting a pedi! read more

Best nail salon! I get builder gel and have never once broken a nail. Their cleanliness, attention to detail and atmosphere are top tier. They also have a great color selection and stay up to date on all the trends. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I recently had a special event, and I used it as an excuse to try acrylic nails for the first time. I spent quite a lot of time searching for nail salons that offered this service, and there are not very many in the Chicago area. I ultimately decided on Huron Nails because of its convenient location and relatively fair pricing. It was easy to make an appointment by phone. Just be aware that they are closed on Mondays! The owner started with my manicure, and his confidence put me at ease. He promised he would make my nails look good and assured me he had plenty of experience with acrylics. I showed him a picture of what I wanted (French acrylics with an almond shape and not too much white), and he and his wife, Julie, delivered! I absolutely love their work, and I might just treat myself to this look from time to time. In my rush to get to my appointment, I forgot to bring cash. I'll definitely do that in the future to take advantage of the cash discount! read more

Have gotten my nails done here numerous times and they always do a great job. They are very friendly and have good prices. There is a discount if you pay in cash vs credit card so try to remember to have cash but they accept credit if needed. read more

Can't say enough good things about Julie and Huron nails. Julie is the absolute BEST at what she does, I found huron nails a year ago and can't imagine going anywhere else. Her nails will ALWAYS last a month, the gel NEVER chips or lifts at the edges. They always work with my schedule, give great value and do a 12/10 job every single time. Can't rave more about this place, absolute BEST PLACE in the city to get a no chip manicure!! read more
Got my nails done here and I absolutely love them! The nail tech, (Marisa, Melissa? Can't really remember but starts with an M...) did a great job! She was super thorough and took her time with everything. She did a beautiful job cleaning the cuticles and shaping my nails. I highly recommend calling ahead and making an appointment as this is a pretty small nail salon and they fill up quickly. Love my nails will return here in the future read more

Bilancia is everything you could ever want in a nail spa. The ambiance is so relaxing and welcoming to all. This is a female owned business which I'm always here to support. The quality and attention to detail here is unmatched. I used them for my bridal shower, bachelorette, wedding and now I'm a nail girly and see them every month (at least) for hard gel on real nails + polish. Can't recommend Bilancia enough! read more
This is only my second time ever getting gel nails and Huron was great! I wanted a summery colorful nail, and they came out pretty nice. My nails were shorter than the reference pic but the tech did a good job being flexible. The only sad part was I didn't realize the nail art would be $12 extra (she only charged me $10) so the cost was steeper than expected! But this is a cute Vietnamese family owned business :) read more

Best salon I have ever been to! Usually when I ask for almond shaped nails, the shape never comes out right...BUT I have finally found a salon that did my nails exactly how I wanted them! They really took their time prepping my nails, coloring them and massaging my hands! The staff was extremely attentive offering drinks and anything else I needed. I am so glad I found this salon. I highly recommend! read more
