I've gotten the dip nails here and it's been great! The price seems very reasonable, especially if you pay cash, and they have an ATM inside with very minimal fees, so I opt to do that. So far, it seems clean. They offer you a drink. There's always other people in there but not so busy that I haven't been able to get in. And when my nail chipped once, they helped fix it without question or charge. I would recommend wearing a mask to avoid the chemicals and nail dust, but that'd be true anywhere. read more

Bloody and painful! I have never left a negative review before for any business. I believe that mistakes happen, but after numerous bad experiences I have decided it is time. I went for a dip manicure. I requested that they clean up my cuticles and make sure that my nails had no sharp edges. After numerous requests, I am left with hands that are different lengths, sharp edges, and worst of all BLOODY BURNING CUTICLES! My experience at Vickies has been terrible on my recent visit and all of it is because of my nail technician, Diamond. She was extremely rude, bossy and clearly does not understand how client services business works. Please look at the picture which clearly shows what I asked for and what I got in return. The technician was rude throughout with me and also made snarky comments like the colour I have requested for will not suit my skin tone. She was adamant on applying the golden glitter as they charge extra money for it even though I said that it does not go with the colour she finally picked for my nails. For my pedicure, I asked for another technician, her name was Karen and she was good. She did a good job and made sure I got the right service. The salon should look at Diamond's behaviour towards clients and at least make sure she is not rude to them. She also constantly was talking in her language with peers around and gave me a feeling of being lost as I got a feeling they were talking about me. Also, let me not forget to mention how they still try to get extra buck from you. Diamond in the end told me she didn't charge me for the glitter but charged me for french tips. Please look at the picture once more and help me understand how applying dip colors is french tipping. Try Vickies at your own risk. After this awful experience, I will surely not go back. read more

Not great. I've had a couple manicures here and each time is just average. I get a gel manicure and they put it on very clumpy and thick and left ridges. Also they look grown out in a week. This photo was taken a week after my manicure and it looks like I already need a new one. read more

Thank you to Tammy for letting me know I could come back and get my chipped nails fixed for free. Again the lady over the phone and at the front desk was so kind and pleasant about getting my someone to get my nail fixed. I did have to wait a while since it was very busy but I get it. That being said, I personally don't like the fix as it looks very sloppy and almost worse than it did initially with the chips. I think I'll just go elsewhere for manicures. I went to this establishment 2 days ago and an older gentleman with black hair was my nail technician. I believe I was passed off to him because I was a first time walk in. I'm so disgusted that I wasted my money on a no chip manicure after not having my nails done in months. I won't mention his name, however- he had tremors (shaky hands) and he used too much nail polish during each coat that my nails are thick & bumpy. His attention to detail and level of expertise is amazing, my dip nails last a full month when he does them and never chip. And Rob's pedicures are always perfect - worth it to get the Aroma Spa pedicure with him for the extra massage! First time here this evening, and I'm SO sad that I live in Fort Lauderdale, and can't make this my regular nail spot. I made a last minute appointment today for a mani/pedi, and the girl who answered the phone was so nice. Off to a great start! When I came in around 5:30, I was immediately greeted & given a pedicure chair. They also asked if I wanted water, soda, etc which was nice. The ladies doing the pedicures were so friendly to me, and to each other. We were all giggling about things which made it a nice experience. The lady who did my nails suggested I try dip with tips, as my nails weren't very long. I'd never done that before, but she convinced me and she was right! A manicurist at this shop lifted the towel during my manicure without warning, and she knocked my brand new Cartier Santos watch on to the hard table, deeply scratching the bezel of my brand new watch. They refuse to pay to repair the damaged watch or replace it as it may not be fixable. It was brand new! I am devastated. The management is unprofessional and negligent. Their staff ruined my watch and are not taking responsibility for it even though they are at fault. They are not honest business owners and I'm now out $10K on a watch because of them. This was my first time going to Vickie's and I'm so glad I went! I usually don't get my nails done super often - just a couple times a year for special occasions. But when I do get them done, I want something fun! I heard Vickie's was a really good place to go if you want nail designs, and they did a great job! From the moment I walked in they were very attentive at the front - asking me what I wanted for a design and giving me color options. When they saw my design inspo picture they seemed a little concerned because my nails are much shorter than the photo and not the same shape, but I assured them it'd be okay. My nails grow fast so I like to have my nails short to start when getting them done, and let them grow out overtime. This way I get to keep my manicure for a longer time period before they're too long for me to stand lol. Lam did the prep for my nails (gel removal from a previous manicure, file/shape up, base coats) and did a great job! Hannah did the designs and I'm so happy with it! She checked in with me while making the designs and was very friendly and communicative. I love Vickie's! It is my go to nail salon. The salon is great at taking in appointments and keeping a track. I have to hardly wait at the salon for my nail tech. The salon has a wide array of nail colors, be it gel, gel X or dip powder. They offer nail extensions too. The salon manager is great. He understand how to give great customer service. For instances when I accident chipped my nail it wasn't happy with the finishes, he graciously offered for a free re-do. He is very down to earth and ensures his customers are very comfortable. He has sometimes even helped me select a nice color for my manicure. They offer different nail shapes as well. The only small complain is have is the add ons. They have an add on for everything! If you need to remove your old gel or powder, if you want a nail shape other than round,etc all have add ons. I have found my way around it and try to keep the add ons at a minimum. Danny is my favorite nail tech. Anytime I get a manicure from Danny, my manicures lasts for four weeks easily. He even does custom designs and chrome powder. I love getting different versions of the glazed donut from here. I have tried many other tends such as jelly nails, glitter nails, nail art, chrome powder, etc. a must try salon for their customer service and high quality manicures and pedicures. read more

The salon itself was decent overall, very friendly front desk staff and lots of color options. My manicure itself is just okay. I went in for a dip, and before the nails had a top coat I noticed a black speck on one of my nails (very noticeable as I selected a light pink/ white color). I asked the nail tech if she could remove the spot, and she said she couldn't file it away and the speck is from something in the dip powder. Instead of fixing the spot, she just put the top coat on and finished my manicure. The color is nice, however, a few of my nails are slightly crooked from filling and there is dip residue still under my nails. No one in the salon asked my how my manicure was before I left. I wish the tech would have fixed the spot on my nails when I requested as it's going to drive me crazy for the next few weeks, and spent a bit more time on my manicure to make my nails straight. read more

This is a review for a gel acrylic fill in with Tony. I have had nothing but good experiences with other nail techs at this location. I got a GEL fill in with Tony and within one week I had 3 nails fall off. I've had acrylic nails for over 4 years, and this type of service typically lasts a month. I have never seen such a poor job. I went back to the salon to get them fixed (with Tony, unfortunately I couldn't meet with someone else because he had done the original service) and 2/3 of the nails he fixed fell off within the same week. I have never seen something like this happen, but save yourself the frustration and money and go somewhere else! Unfortunately due to this experience I will not be coming back. read more

I always do my appointment every 4 weeks, requesting the same tehnician. I am going in, and they say you do not have an appointment. It is for the next day. I drove 45 min to get here and was for nothing. I have wasted my time, and I wasn't able to get my nails. I am very particular who does my nails and always comes to her. Why do I need another day when my nail tehnician is not there? or to choose someone else? I asked a discount for the next time, to give them a chance for this error, and the guy at the front desk didn't say anything, just moved his shoulder. Very bad experience. Stopped into Vickie's to get a dip manicure and I'll never go back. Two of my nails chipped, and one completely broke off, less than 5 days after I got them done. I went in to have them fix it and when they were asking me what color I got they were frustrated I didn't remember. I hadn't planned on coming back for the same color! Diamond was amazing she did a great job on my pedicure. The business itself needs to try and practice price transparency as to not catch its customers off guard when it's time to pay. I thought I was getting a deal with a $30 classic pedicure to be informed gel polish was an extra $20, and the French tip (just the white line) was an extra $10 on top of that. Plus a 5% service charge for all cards so my total came to $65 + a $10 tip for my very deserving nail technician. This salon is able to get you in, most of the time. It's not really a place for regular manicures. They seem to be only interested in gel/acrylic nails. It's more like a factory, get you in and out quickly. They aren't geared toward natural nails. They even want to use a drill on a simple manicure. If you don't watch them, your manicure will consist of a very fast nail polish change. They don't ask if you want them shortened or what shape. Same goes for the pedicures. This is not a place to relax and get a pedicure. Again, if you don't watch, they will skip cutting and filing and go straight to polishing nails. They will continually push for gel/acrylic. The people who work there seem to be able to ignore you and talk with each other (using inappropriate language and content) while rushing your appointment. Speaking of appointments, there is no guarantee that if you make an appointment with a specific person, that you will get that person, just a bums rush to get you in and out. If you are a natural nail person, I would skip this place completely. It's really set up for those who don't care about nail health. read more
