Would not go here again!!! Shaping is terrible, wanted round. Color choices are slim. By girl was not friendly at all. All the other staff seemed sweet. I had to ask if I was done and could leave because I was in awe of how she left my nails. No lotion or anything, powder everywhere. Well... I have never had dip nails pop completely off. Usually they last me a month. I had to pop off after a week and a half. Can't belive I paid for these! read more

I decided to treat myself to a birthday mani pedi after hearing great things about Jewel from some of my neighbors. I was not disappointed! The salon is super clean and I love all the floral and pink decor. I was even offered a drink. My pedicure was done with care and I received a great massage and paraffin treatment. My manicure looks great too. Great care was taken to shape and file my nails to my liking and my cuticles are so much better! I really appreciate the attention to detail. Prices are super reasonable as well. I will definitely be back! read more

They were able to accommodate a last minute no chip mani an hour before closing. No frills salon that didn't have me wash or soak my hands prior to the start of my service, but not sure if that's the norm or if they were rushing at the end of the day. I'm quite prone to bleeding with cuticle removal and that was no different at this salon. My cuticles were cut a little too far back on two nails and I did bleed, but overall I'm thoroughly impressed by how long I've had this no chip. Nothing lasts more than 1-1.5 weeks on my nails (no chip, dip powder, gelX), but I'm going on almost 3 weeks with these nails. Prices were reasonable for west loop so I will be back. read more

I've gone here 3 times in the past year -- 1 pedicure and 2 dip manicures-- and sadly won't be returning. The pedicure was painful I actually had one spot near my toe cuticle bleed and scab over. The dip manicures looked great (although one of my technicians was rough on my fingers) however they don't last long?? Everywhere else I've gone, dip manicures last 3+ weeks or until I take them off. Both of my dip manicures here have started coming up near the base after a week, to week and a half. I just got my nails done last week and tonight my whole dip nail popped off?? For $70 (including standard tip) I would expect this not to happen! read more

I got Gel-X and they made me put my hands in the LED lights 5 times in a row per hand. I was concerned about safety of my hands but they did not care. On top of that, my nails started falling off within 4 days and these are supposed to last weeks. I would not recommend. read more

Manicure- I came here with absolutely terrible nails after having 3 months of acrylics on! Thin, brittle, and bruised up nails walking in, but the woman I had took her time to really clean them up and got all the acrylic off that I wasn't able to. She turned them from a mess into beautiful, healthy looking nails. Plus, she even fixed my dry grown out cuticles. I love how the put collagen gloves on your hands during the whole process as well. Pedicure- Had a young gentleman do the massage and pre-painting things. He seemed very new to everything because he really took his time to make sure my nails were cut straight and during the scrub he really got in there haha. After, a young woman painted my toes and did a great job. I left feeling ready to wear some flip flops (even though it's still 30° outside). Toes painted well, calluses gone, soft and moisturized legs and feet. I used to go here maybe a year ago and have no clue why I stopped. I think I'm going to make this my go to place again. read more

The best salon I've been to in a LONG time!! I've been to a ton of nail salons around the south/west loop after moving from up north and could never find with this quality of service. My no chip lasted longer than 2 weeks and pedi lasted over a month. Yukas hands are amazing, better some of the massage therapists I've been too. I go here every 2 weeks- went yesterday for a no chip extension and they put them on sideways? Another girl came and fixed it but I sat there for 2 hours. When I got home my nails were so sticky and peeling off. After asking for a refund they acted like it was my fault- told me that the service was already completed and that to come back and they'll just fix it. They didn't know how to even issue a refund on my card. As a business you should know how to do this... they ended up quick paying me my money back after arguing on the phone and told me to not come back again. Horrible customer service in my opinion. The manager ended up texting me a nice msg but still why would I want to come back? Sad because I literally would go there every other week!! read more

Overall, I was treated with an overtly hostile experience by one of the staff members. Times are tough, but the doesn't justify verbally attacking your customers. After my pedicure was already done, and halfway through my manicure, the gentleman working on my nails told me that their credit card reader is broken and asked if I can pay with Zelle or Venmo. I notified him that I don't keep any cash, and asked why he didn't notify me of the broken credit card machine before I received any service. He kept repeating that the machine was broken, then started getting angry and raising his voice with me. I told him that I will pay him as soon as the credit card machine is working. He kept going on saying things like "can you ask a friend to help you" "okay so you don't want to pay" "no it's fine you don't have to pay, you don't want to pay" "so when you're at a place that does not accept credit cards, you just don't pay?" I had to keep reminding him that if he had told me about the credit card machine ahead of time, I would have just gone somewhere else to get my nails done knowing that I didn't have cash available. He was incredibly rude after that point, storming off, slamming doors, and being snippy with me in front of another customer when she walked in. read more

I came in here on a Sunday AM and, in defense of the establishment, I didn't have an appointment. They agreed to take me for a regular manicure, despite being semi busy, which was very nice of them but I think I would've preferred if they had just said no. This was not a good manicure. 20m, my cuticles were barely touched, I left with visible hang nails and raggedy skin. I had to run down the block to pick up my dog, otherwise I would've spoken up. I paid $5 extra for this polish they said was 'quick drying' and 'will last chip free for at least a week.' I had chips the next day despite doing basically nothing but lounge around. I really think this mostly speaks to the rushing but- just say no, you don't have time, then! I'm so frustrated that I spent $28 on a manicure that barely lasted 16 hours. I'm at 5 days now and my nails are actually embarrassing. I just wish they wouldn't have tried to squeeze me in. Speak up! We all would've been happier! read more

Came here with a friend and was astonished by our treatment. They advertise services that they don't even offer. At one point, the lady doing my nails stopped and walked away and had someone else take over because she didn't know how to do it! My friend also asked for extension and was told that "they don't do that" despite the fact that I got it done. Never coming back here! read more

Only note is if you want a full-set or acrylic nails, you have to choose the soft gel tips manicure option (personally have never heard of acrylics being called this). Highly recommend making an appointment as well. read more

I have been to this salon many times and generally had a good experience. After today, I will not go again. I called yesterday and booked a 5:30pm appointment for a mani and pedi. I arrived 5 minutes early and the salon is closed - locked up and lights off. I tried to call the phone number and it doesn't even ring. Terrible customer service and experience. read more

I have rather specific demands when it comes to selecting where I'm going to get my nails done, and Jewel not only passes the test, but sets a new standard. Reasons I love Jewel: 1. Matching gel and regular OPI polish colors 2. Newest OPI gel colors and matching, when applicable (yes, I care) 3. Great pedicure massage chairs 4. Consistency- It doesn't matter who I get as a technician, they're all great 5. Friends on repeat 6. Walk ins welcome/not scolded (but try to call ahead, obviously) 7. Rewards program where you get discounts after visiting a certain number of times (and they look it up by phone number, so you don't even need to bring a stupid rewards card AND it's actually attainable) 8. Always ask if you want a shoulder massage after your manicure 9. No chip lasts up to 3 weeks 10. Location is convenient As much as getting your nails done can feel like a bit of a chore, in reality it's a luxury and something that really should be enjoyed. I don't mind going to Jewel every 2 weeks because I know I'm going to walk out feeling amazing. read more

Great West Loop nail salon! It doesn't have all the bells and whistles decor wise, but the important thing is that they do an amazing job on nails! There are 5 spa pedicure chairs and 6 manicure stations. They ofcourse offer no chip/gel manicure with the collagen glove treatment which I love. For spa pedicures, they also offer 3 different types of scrubs: Lavendar, Tropic citrus, and Lemon. A basic pedicure and no chip manicure runs $65. For an upgrade for a Spa Pedicure and no chip manicure is $85. There is an excellent selection of colors including brands like OPI and Essie. Staff is super nice!! I usually get my nails done by April! - Ask for her :) Overall, prices are competitive, qqualities there, and lines are short! read more

My mom was seated first, then me 3 minutes later then my SIL 2 minutes after me. I'm not chatty at all when I get these services done and I loved the way my tech was on that wave too. Mom and SIL love to talk and were deep in convo with their techs. The manicure itself was thorough - my insolent cuticles were tamed and removed with ease - and the polish job itself was great. I mostly avoid manicures because I chip the polish in 24 hours but here we are 5 days later and my fingers still look like shiny disco balls. Why I would return: -comfortable seating at the nail tables. Sturdy with room for ample bottoms -friendly and efficient service. There is NO NEED to be at a nail salon for hours. We were out in 45 min max including dry time. -welcoming reception. I love seeing my people when I'm out and she was very warm and inviting. So much so when I told people where we went to get our nails done they asked if she was working. -good job on the polish. Clean lines, no smudge, long/lasting. -NO CHEMICAL SMELLS. From a customer side this was nice - I'm sure from an employee side it's even better. -Super clean and modern. Sometimes nail shops can be worn down. It's clear this place is investing in the space - which makes a nicer work environment and experience for all.

I needed my nails done for an October 2024 wedding and found Ipop Central. They had glowing reviews…read moreso I booked an appointment over the phone with owner Mylinh the week of the wedding. MyLinh went over my preferences and she requested I send a pic of the work I wanted done. I saw a picture off of Pinterest I wanted to replicate which required extensive artwork. With these parameters I also needed nail extensions. After going over preferences and quoting a price, Mylinh recommended I do the Russian manicure with builder gel application. I never had a Russian manicure before but was willing to try it out. She paired me with two technicians. Adele who did the manicure and Jamal who did the artwork. Russian manicures are high quality focusing on cuticle deep cleaning which can extend manicure wear. In fact, all of the work is dry application meaning your nails never get soaked in chemical solution. Total work with the artwork took 4 hours to complete with longer lasting results versus a traditional gel extensions. I kept my manicure over 3 weeks before seeing outgrowth and even then they still looked great! When it came time for removal they used a fine drill bit (no soaking was involved). I left with my natural nail intact with the nail bed feeling healthier than ever. Adele did a great job on my nails. She was gentle, patient and really took the quality of her work seriously. Jamal is a trained nail artist who does a good job with her nail art whether it's freestyle or replicating a design. The facilities are modern and clean with comfortable seating. Their pedicure chairs have customizable massage functions making your session a relaxing experience. I rarely get my nails done. One time I was there for 4 hours getting a builder gel fill and a pedicure. I appreciate a clean salon, which this certainly is, but there are downfalls that made it frustrating. There's also a couple hair salon booths within the nail salon and the noise from the blow dryers didn't help create a relaxing environment. After a manicure with a nail design that looked like I'd done it myself, and an unexpected upcharge, I decided to switch and find a new salon. If you have plenty of time and patience and are seeking a simple color without a design, ipop is a good option. But if you're looking for an efficient service, I would consider looking elsewhere.

They take credit for payment and Venmo for tip. Mary does a very quick job, I think it took her ten minutes to specifically do the cats eye on my toes. But it is also a pristine job where she makes lots of finishing touches to fine tune her work. (After having terrible work at another salon, I double check the work and it is perfect). And her leg massages are also very very relaxing! I recommend Mary. Also note, she doesn't work Sundays!

I would give 0 stars if I could. The man who works there is racist. I've went several times and can prove it. I work in healthcare so I'm very disappointed in the 3 times I have went. Jewel is the BEST!! i went here to get a pedicure and i am very satisfied with the service. They do hot stone massage and apply hot paraffin on your heels unlike other salons. I will definitely come back!!! read more
