I've been coming to Nailacarte for a while and wanted to share some honest feedback about my recent experiences. While I truly appreciate the skill of my nail technician, the front desk experience has consistently been a source of frustration. On multiple visits, the two younger women working the front desk have come across as dismissive and bothered -- whether I'm checking in, asking a simple question, or processing payment. I've also overheard negative remarks made about other customers, which was uncomfortable to witness. Additionally, I've found it difficult to accommodate basic requests, such as being seated with a friend or requesting a specific nail tech. The front-of-house experience has made it difficult to justify returning. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I believe it reflects a larger pattern that may be affecting other customers as well. read more

I'm sorry but this place is not worth it. I have tried it 3 times now and the nails falling off within 9 days. First time I thought it was just a bad nail day, second time I got upset and went to get a refill, now half of my nails are gone again. read more

I would've rated this place 5 stars if I was just talking about my own experience. I scheduled an appointment for me and my friend to get our nails done. I was paired with Jay, and she did a wonderful job on my nails. I was disappointed to find out that the one nail polish I found in the rack that I liked they ended up no longer having, but I found a good alternative. Jay was very attentive to everything, fixing a nail until it was right. I finished before my friend and oddly they dont let you tip on the machine, I had to open up Venmo after to tip Jay. I didn't mind though. There was a woman and a man sitting at the front desk, telling Jay how to properly input the price into the machine (didn't really get a friendly vibe from the two at the front desk, but I didn't really make much note after that). I tipped Jay and then left. My friend was doing a pedi so she took longer and I had somewhere to be so I couldn't wait for her. When it was time for my friend to pay for her set, she did the same as me, went up to the front to pay, woman and man sitting at the front desk in surveillance the process. And this is where my five star review turns into a three...they tried to convince my friend that I didn't pay for my nails and that she was supposed to pay for my set. They insinuated that I had just walked out without paying. My friend knows me well, but did want to double check with me. She told them that she was going to call me to just double check that I hadn't paid, and then shortly after she said that, the woman at the front suddenly remembered that I did pay. I want to give people the benefit of the doubt but it felt kinda shady... and after feeling a rude vibe from them from my own interaction, I feel this review is warranted. I would love to come back for Jay, but due to this service issue, I probably won't return. read more

I really wish I had a better experience here for my birthday nails. This is my first time having a crooked nail after leaving a salon. My nail on my thumb broke in the middle of my service and she tried to repair with the hard gel. I noticed it was crooked and asked her if she could fix it. She filed it some, still crooked but not as bad as it could've been if i didn't speak up. She also seemed annoyed I was getting a basic color and no add ons. The whole experience was uncomfortable. I did mention to the front desk staff I didn't get the type of nails I wanted and they let me know how to ask for it next time. The only thing I could do was tip less, leave this review, and let others know about my experience. read more

High quality and clean salon. My full set of cat eye Gel-X cost about $120 including tip. Yes, it's expensive - but compared to other west loop or city salons it's about right. Even though it was expensive, the quality of my nails are the best I've received from any salon honestly. I was in and out in 1.5 hours - and they are perfect. My nail tech Heather did a great job and was polite. I know this place is expensive, but if you are looking for creative designs / perfection, I think it's worth the investment. I made appointment with this nail shop for 5 o'clock when I got there I asked them not to put me with someone new because I know the outcome of new people, but they did it anyway she had the worst attitude. She was rushing and she was very unprofessional rough and rude when I told her how I felt, she had an attitude about it and did not try to correct the problem. Instead, she kept cutting her eyes at me and being rough with my feet, and when I asked to speak to her manager, they said that the manager had left so I said who's here to solve the problems. They told me the guy that was cleaning up, which I thought was weird to me because how do you leave a whole nail shop with out any managers left there to solve problems so the cleaning guy asked me what was the issue and I told him what the young girl was doing. He called somebody on the phone and gave her the phone. She went to the back to talk to the person on the phone and when she came back, she still had the same attitude. I got up out the chair and went to pay my money and ask them. How can we solve the problem? They gave me an email address and told me to email the manager, and when I asked her name, they didn't really wanna give me her name for the money that the shop charges I think is very unprofessional to have people working there that's unprofessional and to leave workers without a manager, and on top of that they sent me a text and asked me to rate the service very unprofessional route so beware of this nail salon read more

I came here for a gel manicure and regular pedicure before my wedding. Full disclosure, I won a gift card from an influencer on Instagram so I barely spent my own money. The salon itself is very clean and much larger inside than it looks from the outside. My gel manicure is French style and looks really pretty. The pedicure also looks good, but during the foot scraping part the technician got distracted and I left with a pretty noticeable cut on my foot. It was a bit of a bummer since I was hoping to feel totally pampered before the wedding, and now I am just hoping it heals up in time. Overall the nails turned out nice, but that part of the experience definitely took away from it. read more

Place has gone downhill. My nail tech was great and gave me a great pedicure however I was seated 15 mins after my appointment time and then seen another 20 after that. It appeared the girl who was going to be my tech was basically just chatting while finishing up with her current person and then they gave me someone else. No one even apologized for how long I was waiting until my nice technician began. It seems like they have changed management or something but I do not plan to go back sadly. read more

Just tried here for my first time! I love the space! The guy working the front desk was awesome, he brought me tea!! I went to Marisa, I love the color of my nails. I got tips, there was a lot of trouble putting them on and I have nail glue on the back of my hands. I like the almond shape but these all seem to be different lengths. My nails are very streaky from the top coat, and some have chips/white streaks? I'm thinking from not allowing them to dry and putting on lotion too soon. I would like to try again to be able to have a better experience, I will need to try someone else. read more

If you're looking for flawless nails and top-tier service, NAILacarte is the place; especially Eva, my go-to nail technician. As someone who is extremely particular about my nails (the shape, length, and especially making sure they don't look too thick), finding Eva made me so happy. She transitioned me to builder gel, which gives a much more natural-looking enhancement. She's incredibly detail-oriented while still being efficient, which I really value given my ever-changing work schedule. She also does beautiful nail designs. Once, I showed her a photo and she replicated it flawlessly. Eva is also super patient with me (and my indecisiveness), and helps with color selection without ever making me feel rushed. I go every two weeks and the flexibility in scheduling, sometimes even same-day, is such a relief. The salon itself is spotless and thoughtfully curated. It's always clean and inviting, with complimentary wine, water, or green tea, most times offered during your visit, but also available upon request. Multiple TVs throughout the space make it feel modern and relaxed, and the receptionist is always warm and welcoming. There's one receptionist in particular who always remembers my name, and it's those small details that make a huge difference. They also have a massive selection of polish colors! Honorable mention: Sunny! She's been doing my pedicures recently, and she is phenomenal. She's quick but meticulous, and her attention to shaping and overall nail care is top-tier. I had an issue with my big toe (cracked it in half--ouch!), and Sunny not only did an enhancement to protect it, but also gave me guidance on how to prevent fungus while it grows out. That level of care and knowledge really builds trust. If you're someone who values quality, professionalism, and a little pampering with your service, NAILacarte is it. Just had the nastiest experience with the front desk woman at Nailacarte West Loop - small Latina woman at the front desk who claims to be "the manager." Called in advance as to not waste my time or theirs and lo and behold my time was still wasted. I needed a small repair - one of my nails, gelx done at a salon outside the city had come off and I'm leaving the country tmrw. Just looking for some help recurring it or recreating the nail that was lost. After a calm, but frustrating back and forth and being told the one woman who could do a French nail in the salon was booked all day, I asked for the manager. Really in an attempt to discuss where I think things went wrong from the start bc had I been asked the appropriate questions while on the phone, I would have not bothered to come in the first place. When I did finally ask for the manager , the Latina woman at the front desk smirks, pauses, and says yes what can I do for you. Like she caught me in something. Instead of being professional, and just stating "I am the manager." Continues to be apathetic and dismissive of my concerns and finishes with sorry hun - which was obviously insincere. I forgot why I had stopped going there but was really hoping they could help me in need. Not only was the salon unhelpful but they were rude and made a mockery of the situation which wasn't funny to me. I'll be sure to reiterate to all of my contacts not to do business here, and I'll take it the airwaves on my city/nationally syndicated radio show that folks should not seek services here. Please do better Nailacarte and get your front desk girl/manager all the way together. That nasty attitude is unbecoming and gross for front of house service of any kind. Left and went down the street to Deeva nails and they were lovely, helpful, empathetic, professional, and made time even with a salon full of customers to help with my small ask. I'm not usually a review type of girl but today I got a no chip manicure with kevin and deluxe pedicure with ana. no complaints about the pedicure whatsoever. but my manicure was the most rushed and half assed thing i have ever experienced in my entire life. cherry on top is they charge you a wrong price and don't apply a discount then when you ask them about it and want a refund, they can't even refund you although you paid in cash. they will only credit it al thought it was their mistake. honestly last 3 times there has been a bad experience and i don't plan on going back. when you have someone good, they're great. but most of the time their nail techs are not the best. read more

I'm so glad I got a chance to stop by this location! I live in the South Loop but I heard so many great things about them I had to try them out for myself. The customer service is great; everyone is really nice and helpful. They have a wide range of colors and they're great with designs! I had designs on my toes and they were amazing. The place is really neat, friendly and very comfortable. They havea ATMATM that doesn't charge a fee. Please note that there is a fee if you use credit card thus the ATM. But I will be back again and you guys should definitely check them out. I've been coming here for almost a year and a half now the two Hispanic women at the front desk need to go and as business owners, you guys should probably consider this them talking about clients. Man this mani lasted me a month! I usually don't go so long, but after a certain point I just wanted to see how long they'd last. The polish did start chipping around week 3 and that's when I said it's time for a new set. Don't judge my ashy hands too hard but that was my hands right before walking into the salon. Came out brand new! Henry didn't remember me or anything so I didn't feel too special lol - I'm looking for a consistent nail tech though so maybe i'll try someone new.
