We each got our nails done and honestly if the experience was like this back home I'd get my nails done way more often! The nail techs were ready for us when we got there even on Christmas Eve Eve. My mom was seated first, then me 3 minutes later then my SIL 2 minutes after me. I'm not chatty at all when I get these services done and I loved the way my tech was on that wave too. Mom and SIL love to talk and were deep in convo with their techs. The manicure itself was thorough - my insolent cuticles were tamed and removed with ease - and the polish job itself was great. I mostly avoid manicures because I chip the polish in 24 hours but here we are 5 days later and my fingers still look like shiny disco balls. Why I would return: -comfortable seating at the nail tables. Sturdy with room for ample bottoms -friendly and efficient service. There is NO NEED to be at a nail salon for hours. We were out in 45 min max including dry time. -welcoming reception. I love seeing my people when I'm out and she was very warm and inviting. So much so when I told people where we went to get our nails done they asked if she was working. -good job on the polish. Clean lines, no smudge, long/lasting. -NO CHEMICAL SMELLS. From a customer side this was nice - I'm sure from an employee side it's even better. -Super clean and modern. Sometimes nail shops can be worn down. It's clear this place is investing in the space - which makes a nicer work environment and experience for all.

This is when I suspected she couldn't understand me. No massage, scrub cream was applied to my legs and then rinsed off-no scrubbing. No real attempt to get rid of calluses. Mani-my nails are on the shorter side and I just wanted them to all be the same length and shape. I had to correct her several times because she wasn't following those simple instructions. Some of my nails ended up lopsided anyhow. No hand massage, no lotion and sloppy polish application. I had to ask her to redo several nails. When she's done, she takes me to the drying table, tells me how long to wait and starts to leave. Until I call her back to turn the drying fan on. (I couldn't find the switch). She stomped off, never to be seen again. I had to ask one of the other techs to bring my bag and shoes over, because she didn't. This was very disappointing.

As of today, 8/29, exactly one month after, both my left toenail is deeply ingrown and painful because of the shape it was cut, that I asked to keep the sides not rounded, but while I got my manicure, my nail bed and cuticle was clipped into so deeply it would not stop bleeding that the nail itself is damaged at the base. I am very sure the tech working that day knows exactly who I am. She hyper focused on my bleeding middle finger and I said "please just do the left hand for now, I have already been here far longer than expected and have to be at my job soon." She apologized profusely but kept using painful oils and alcohols that stung deeply on the cut. This is to say, I offered to pay BEFORE my nail treatment so I did not have to dig into my purse after. So for $72, I also left a $30 venmo tip to her. None of it was ever offered to be refunded. I did not have any time left to speak about wanting a refund, and was kindly accepting of her apologies, but now that a month later, my left toenail is still in pain is why not only do I want any type of a refund but will also warn others about going here. The fact that a nail paint color would be used on my nail with an open wound and the bottle placed back on the shelf for later use (I hope she threw it away?) is heads up enough. I would like any type of refund from this place. I, again, had zero time left to sit there and wait for the situation to be remedied that day, did my job limping along and a bandaid on my finger, and flew out of town shortly thereafter.

They quoted me a 20 minute wait, which was fine, and I sat in a pedicure chair while I waited so I got a little back massage! A few things: 1 - The colors were organized so nicely on the wall but were really limited. It wasn't until I was looking for 5+ minutes when the woman working told me there was a book with more colors. 2 - This was the fastest dip manicure I've ever had in my life. It wasn't a bad thing. In fact, I don't enjoy sitting at salons forever waiting for my nails to be done. But the shaping of the nails is a bit funky, they look like bubbles, and it's thick. She clearly rushed through getting them done. They look fine though, overall. But if they were trying to close or just couldn't take me, I would've found another place to go to. 3 - The cost was $50. I did not get lotion or a massage or anything. It was a no frills service, which again, was fine for me this time around. But I don't think I found **my place** yet.

During the manicure, the technician suggested trying something "new" after applying the normal coats of polish. She tested it on one nail and asked if I wanted it on the rest. At no point was I told there would be an additional charge, and it was presented as part of the manicure experience, not as upgraded nail art. When I checked out, I was charged an extra $15 for what they called "artwork." I was surprised because the additional cost was never mentioned beforehand or approved by me. If a service costs extra, customers should be clearly informed before it's done. What was most disappointing was the response when I questioned it. Instead of acknowledging the lack of communication, I was basically told that was just the price. As a long-time customer, that felt dismissive and frustrating. This was also not my first negative experience here. On a previous visit, I ended up leaving with only clear polish after being unhappy with the quality of the service, yet I was still charged full price. The issue is not simply the extra $15. It's the repeated lack of transparency, poor customer service, and feeling like customer concerns are brushed aside rather than addressed.

If I could give this salon 10 stars, I would. I love everything about this place! I ended up breaking a nail yesterday and I reached out to the owner, Mylinh, to see if I could get squeezed in this week for a "fill" and repair. Due to my busy schedule, she offered to have me come in 1.5 hrs before the salon actually opens! Mylinh goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful experience at her salon; she makes you feel like a VIP client. My technician today was Missy and she did an outstanding job. I've also had Adele as a technician in the past--she did a really great job with the complex nail art designs I had selected. All the technicians act very professional and they don't rush through their work. I can honestly say that I haven't been to any other salon that caters to their clients like IPop Central. I went here a few weeks ago, and just went in for the second time today, and I absolutely loved it both times! Very nice and friendly staff, very accommodating. The woman doing my mani went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked amazing - she even took the time to fix chipped corners on two of my nails, even though I said she could just file them down shorter (and didn't charge extra for it!). It's a smaller spot with limited space, so make sure you let them know what services you want in advance (e.g., mani only, mani + pedi) so they have the space and staff to take care of you. I found them on yelp earlier this month and I have been there twice now. I have gotten both no chip Russian pedicures and gel nail extensions. Hands down this is the absolute best nail salon and service I have EVER had. From the professional and friendly service to the top tier quality of their work, they are the best salon in Chicago. I downgraded from a Russian e-file/no-chip with strengthening to a no-chip manicure with strengthening because I felt uncomfortable have the service performed by someone I was not familiar with, yet was still charged $65 instead of an expected $55-60 price based on menu of services. How funny it was still the same price. My appointment also ran 30 minutes late because my tech was very slow. I also have hygiene concerns--the manager arrived after opening and pointed out that multiple pedicure stations were still dirty to the other nail techs please note no one had used them for clients that morning I was the only customer in the salon. I canceled all of my future appointments. I'm thankful the manager came in and loudly told the nail techs that the pedicure stations were dirty, as I had been planning to start booking multiple services at this salon.

The first time I went, I had a TERRIBLE experience. Not only was the tech so rude criticizing my cuticles (which didn't look great, but that's literally the reason I was there), but she was also so rough with my nails. It's almost like she forgot there was a person attached to the hand. Not only was the service bad, but then my nails chipped within days of getting a dip manicure. I've gotten dip many times before and have never once had my nails chip this fast. A week later, nails just fell off. I went back when I finally had a chance and met the owner who was so kind to do my nails again for me. I got a different tech, Aidai, who was so much kinder and did a great job on my cuticles. I went with dip again (hoping that this time would be better), but within 5 days my nails started chipping again. I was so torn because I really did love the actual manicure, but the polish job is truly atrocious. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back or recommend this place.

Just consistent, quality service every time. I've worked with all three of the ladies here and they all deliver chef's kiss results. They take care of me every single time. I really didn't want to gatekeep this place any longer as they truly deserve the love.

The services were thorough, relaxing, and very well done. She created some beautiful flowers on my nails and I am very pleased with the results! The space is peaceful and clean. I definitely recommend making an appointment, although they honoured me as a walk in.
