I've been coming to this salon for over 2 years, usually about once a month, mainly because it's conveniently located near my home. I continued giving them chances despite a couple disappointing experiences in the past, but after today I've decided I won't be returning. I went in for my usual gel manicure and regular pedicure. During the manicure, the technician suggested trying something "new" after applying the normal coats of polish. She tested it on one nail and asked if I wanted it on the rest. At no point was I told there would be an additional charge, and it was presented as part of the manicure experience, not as upgraded nail art. When I checked out, I was charged an extra $15 for what they called "artwork." I was surprised because the additional cost was never mentioned beforehand or approved by me. If a service costs extra, customers should be clearly informed before it's done. What was most disappointing was the response when I questioned it. Instead of acknowledging the lack of communication, I was basically told that was just the price. As a long-time customer, that felt dismissive and frustrating. This was also not my first negative experience here. On a previous visit, I ended up leaving with only clear polish after being unhappy with the quality of the service, yet I was still charged full price. The issue is not simply the extra $15. Don't waste your time to go to this place. I wait 30 minutes and all these people keep coming in and they're sitting them before me. I finally ask for the third time where I am on the list and then they finally say well. We can maybe get you in at 45 minutes. So much for trying to have a nice Mother's Day for myself after losing my mother this year never go back here again. read more

I took my 5 year old daughter to get her nails done today. Because she is 5, she ruined her nails while they were drying on 5 separate occasions. Each time including the two times we left and came back, every person was incredibly kind and helpful. No one acted justifiably annoyed that she kept messing them up. This salon has a few great nail techs. However they usual reserve them for non brown people. My daughters and I have went here for at least a year and have given them a chance. However, this past Sunday it was too much. They give us the techs who cut your cuticles or still learning. The good ones are reserved for the special people. I've come here a few times for both pedicures and acrylic manicures and they usually treat me very nicely. The last time I had a fill in was on Thursday. The tech who did my nails didn't even ask if I wanted them filed or cut down, which was odd. There wasn't much exchange between us verbally. I woke up the next morning, and one of my nails was completely lifted. Like almost falling off. I called to see if I can get it fixed. The lady said they don't make appointments for repairs. I was fine with that. Came in - they were extremely rude. Didn't even greet me, which was a first since I've been coming here. After waiting 15 minutes I asked her how long is the wait as they were taking walk-ins, instead of repairing my nail. After 45 minutes, I have the receipts on my parking app, they finally started to fix it. They proceeded to blame me and said it was because my nails were old. They also said that they told me they needed to replace them when they did my nails the day before. This is not true. I would've let them. The difference of treatment from a regular manicure, and a repair is insane. I tried to be nice and told the lady that they should treat their customers nicer. She just kept on blaming me and said it wasn't their fault at all that my nail was falling off not even 24 hours after having it done. I will never come back here again. read more

If you are a new customer do not come as soon as business opens. This establishment opens at 10am they arrived at 10 open salon around 10:03am no problem but I immediately noticed I was out of place since I didn't book an appointment. You would clearly see tons of customers coming in being quickly assisted by strong season professional nail experts. Once I walked in, I was even greeted with "Do I have an appointment" Since I was a new they gave me a more mature nail tech who was not as confident and she was a little slower at digesting my request. I left with just a spa pedicure due to their lack of patience with new customers . The owner told me he has tons of locations and didn't have the time to help me . How could you ever remember an encounter with me being my visit was a year ago, heavy business traffic and there was no issue with my previous visit. In addition to my terrible customer service saying how he remembered me amongst serving thousands in his busy establishment about a year ago. My only distinguished characteristic was that I was a woman of color in the nail salon this morning . Based off my observations of consumer service experience since I moved to Chicago from south FL, he quickly wanted to get me out of his establishment. His rapid dismissive response gave me the impression he thought maybe problems would've escalated & caused a scene? I was very calm just trying to enlighten and give feedback from a new customers point of view. He did not listen or give me eye contact, just to repeat mention how he didn't have the time to service me because he's so busy w multiple locations and how he "remembered" from one year ago with no issue during my previous encounter. The service on my pedicure resulted in my nails asking me if I wanted to cut them down to later being told they were cut too low for my desired look which was a no chip French pedicure. I inquired about the cost of white tip no chip ($50) vs. White tip regular polish ($35) I decided to do white tip regular polish w/acrylic nail fill-in ($17), fixed two nails($6), cut-down($3)and my total came out to $45 according to the owner. When I inquired to know why that amount if his price list total didn't reflect that he angrily and rudely replied "that is what he told you and you said yes so DON'T EVER COME BACK HERE". I've gotten a dip manicure from Super Nails the last 3 times I've had my nails done and they've been some of the best manicures I've had. Often times my gel/dip manicures chip in less than 2 weeks, but these have yet to. I could probably go up to 3 weeks to get them redone if I needed to. The salon usually has enough people working, so it's nice not to have to wait a long time, if I have waited at all. They also have a ton of colors in regular polish, no chip and dip, including cat eye and the mood changing colors. They're also able to do some fun designs. My aunt used to do nails and she told me you run the same risk for an infection on a $30 pedicure as you do a $50 pedicure. Even if you have to pay the meter, a parking lot is nice. Another star was for the fact that I walked in and didn't have to wait. I was in a foot bath within 30 seconds of selecting my polish. I went in to get my nails taken off the lady told me it was 10 dollars then began taking them off with a nails. I've had this done before so I was ok with it but I have never been so angry with the results. She made me bleed on 4 separate fingers and kept saying it's because my nails are too thick as she was rushing through it. I get them thick so they don't break while I work I've been getting them thick for years and never had someone mess my fingers up so badly then not even say sorry. The nail tech Bryan was very patient, took his time which I LOVE because I know he values his work and clients, he filed my nails and shaped them just the way I liked! He also coated my nails 3X without me asking which is a PLUS! No complaints and they took me right away even though they were packed. I also took a chance and got my eyebrows waxed, at first I was a little skeptical but when I got home I realized the lighting was a little dark at the nail shop and the lady actually did a good job by just cleaning them up! I will definitely be back in about 2 weeks! Please make sure to bring cash if you tip! They don't accept debit/credit tips. They close at 6pm Saturdays so arrive early before they get packed. There is a minimum of $12 on cards so if you're just going for a eyebrow wax I recommend you bring cash! Did I mention lol it's next to a bunch of food places LOL!!
