We found this restaurant thanks to Yelp. We were seated right away. Menu and tea were dropped off shortly afterwards. The menu offered an extensive selection and it was difficult to decide. We ended up ordering assorted sashimi, aburi combo, tonkotsu ramen, seared amaebi nigiri and tuna toro nigiri. The kitchen was fast at making our order. The sashimi was fresh. The aburi sushi were all made well although I found it to be a tad sauce heavy. The ramen was alright. The broth could be more flavourful. There was a decent amount of noodles and the pork was flavourful. I enjoyed the potato croquette. It was freshly fried and tasty. Service was great. Staff check up on us regularly to clear dirty plates and refill tea. Overall, we enjoyed a great meal and would return when we are on the area.

I came here for dinner recently. The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere and service was good. In terms of food, I tried their Spicy Chirashi Don. The Chirashi had Salmon, Tuna, Snapper, Tamago, Masago, Tako (Octopus), Ebi (Shrimp), and salad with various vegetables. All the sashimi were quite fresh and the octopus was the best as it was soft but still had a bit of a crunch. The sweet spicy sauce really completed the dish. One thing to note is that they diced up all the sashimi.

We made the wrong turn and made it to this resto. Not a wrong decision definitely and ended having a good time. We had Dragon Roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Salmon Kama and Ebi Mayo. The ambience was great too and their price is affordable. Next time it would not be a wrong turn but a definite destination.

The atmosphere was quite laid back and relaxed. We came at around 5, so it wasn't busy at that time. The service was pleasant, and the food was delicious. In addition to the dinner set and Toro nigiri, we also ordered one of their sushi combos. So glad to have found a good sushi place in the Panorama-Sullivan area!

A delicious sushi restaurant that has great quality, fresh fish, an aesthetically pleasing interior, and reasonable prices...in Surrey? The outside was very unassuming, as it looks like a standalone generic building in the middle of a strip mall. Once you come inside, it's a completely different story. There is lots of great looking traditional Japanese decor, and tons of open space - featuring several dark wooden tables and booths, wooden floors, and dark walls. I quickly and randomly picked this place cuz it was so close by, and arrived with a large group with no reservations...and to my pleasant surprise, they went out of their way to be super accommodating and friendly. We even kept on ordering more food, because everything tasted so delicious! The sushi was so beautifully presented and very fresh, they don't skimp on their portions and they have so many options (their menu is HUGE). They have everything: appetizers, sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, aburi sushi, rice bowls, curry...and even ramen! Since we ordered so much, they also gave us complimentary mochi ice cream to finish off our meals! They are surprisingly quite comparable to other mid-range restaurants found in Vancouver, but in terms of how they rank to other sushi restaurants in the area, they definitely stand well above their competitors. This is definitely where you want to go to eat sushi if you're in Surrey, and more people need to give them a try. I will definitely continue to support this local business, as all their food was on point!

    Tempura Udon & Philadelphia Roll

Okay, true Japanese food is hard to find in the suburbs but the next closest thing is Korean-Japanese places like Isshin! I'm so happy I decided to stop in for a lunch break. I ordered a udon bento, which came as a veritable feast! I was so surprised how much food it came with...and this is one order! I did also get a Philadelphia Roll because....I was hungry and I wanted a smoked salmon typa roll! The udon wasn't all that interesting (i prefer mine with more broth) but the tempura....oh, the tempura...! The perfect selection with sweet potato, eggplant and prawns. The coating was piping hot and extra crispy but the batter wasn't thick. It was so......so........good! And the philly roll is the nicest I've had in a long while! Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal. What really pushed this to next level greatness was the takeout packaging! No Styrofoam here; cardboard boxes, including a cup-shaped one that allowed for an open top so the tempura doesn't get soggy as fast! Service was also really friendly and attentive and the server had a positive attitude which made me happy. Go here, it's goooood!

    My Udon Lunch Special -tasty

Pleasantly surprised. Recently visited this newly renovated sushi place for lunch and although I didn't expect much, I really liked the food and it was fulfilling. I went with the Udon Lunch Special. It came with: - A small bowl of vegetarian udon noodles - Tempura(prawn, sweet potato and eggplant) - Salad with orange sauce - 8 piece Alaska roll - Miso Soup All were delicious, I especially liked the tempura as they weren't burnt or overly greasy. Udon was good too. It was a very fulfilling lunch and at $12.95 it's a good value I think. We also shared Mochi dessert which came as a mix of green tea and mango. I wasn't mindblown but it was a tasty and light dessert, perfect for summer as it was a bit like ice cream in the middle. Overall a good alternative sushi place in the neighbourhood. Their cutlery and stone plates also give the feel of a nice restaurant which was appreciated!

For now. Has potential in this big plaza, not much choice. Fairly new. Doubt if truly Japanese. Ordered Black Spider roll, did its job for driving back Vancouver. Love eating while driving.

We stopped here on a whim one evening and was surprised to have discovered our new favourite sushi spot! I'm currently grain free, and the number of delicious RICE FREE rolls they have was such a delightful surprise! I've never had rice free rolls that were up to this standard of quality! The serving sizes were larger than I expected, all the ingredients were so fresh and handled expertly. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I look forward to trying more of their large but delicious menu in the near future!

Amazing sushi for a reasonable price. My favorite is the seared sushi combo (7 pcs of assorted aburi sushi). Their rolls are also amazing with some unique combinations like the Manitoba roll ( yam tempura, black sesame sauce, and spinach in the inside, sliced avocado on top) and the Mountain roll hand roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, crab meat, avocado, and cucumber inside, wrapped in lettuce and rice paper). The staff are very attentive and polite.

Tenpura - seafood (slice of fish, seafood stuffed vegetable and vegetable(shiitake) 9 pieces of sushi Daily miso soup - clam Dessert - kinako and mitarashi dango Chawan mushi was great. I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. I wish this item could be a bit more softer and buttery, but it was still good. Akaebi(red shrimp) and Hokkaido sea urchin - Lightly torched the top of sea urchin and its smokiness brought out more sweetness flavor of Akaebi(red shrimp) Hokkaido Scallop - Very smooth, soft and nice texture. We love Japanese cuisine so I decided to surprise the hubby with an omakase for his birthday in January. I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!

The kid doesn't have sashimi. But again it is $1 per age of the kid. The food here was very delicious. The sashimi was a bit on the small end but it was ok. They have prawn tempura in their AYCE menu. I came here for lunch so it was only $32 per person which was not bad. The restaurant is in the middle of the long building on the S side of the parking lot. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. No problems at all. The inside is quite pretty. They have a regular menu, but my buddy and I were here for allyoucaneat. They have a lunch and dinner menu, but no late nite. Last call is 30 minutes before closing, so don't come too late in the evening. Sushi here is quite fresh. Selection is not the largest, but it's pretty decent. The one glaring thing that stood out is that other than chicken/beef teriyaki, there are no hot food items (skewers, karaage, ribs etc.). I'm not going to hold this against them, but it's definitely something to keep in mind before showing up. On the other hand, there is no limit for the ice cream scoops at the end. Beautiful. They have chocolate and vanilla. Worth checking out if one is in the area. Recommended.
