honestly, its okay. Typical sushi restaurants in Vancouver. Nothing special & the gyoza is a frozen dumpling (very meh). I believe they serve hot water instead of tea because I barely taste the tea . If you have no choice, this one is okay. Honestly the most annoying part is they don't automatically give us napkins and once you spill something, you need to wait for them to come & give you napkins.

Love coming here. Local spot in the heart of surrey central ( surrey ) Resturant is neatly situated on the main king George street. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is spacious, very clean and comfortable. Good for parties and family gathering. Service is always great here, no lag. The quaintly in their sushi is top notche for the location. Quality Vs price - it's a great deal Toro sashimi and wild salmon sashimi is always fresh, good size and delicious. Highly recommend their hamachi nigiri, scallop nigiri , unagi nigiri, and if you are feeling adventurous ... try the tobiko n quail egg ! Will definitely come again.

Pretty decent for the price and the sashimi is always good here. There was a few times where the rice was just too much in terms of ratio but maybe it was just those days.

We visit regularly when we're looking for a spot for late dinner or just feeling in the mood for sushi. We ordered the rainbow roll, saba nigiri, beef teriyaki roll and the chicken yakisoba. The food is always consistent and delicious whether we're dining in or doing takeout, and we always leave satisfied without breaking the bank. The interior looks great after the renovation and their service is always quick and friendly. Already looking forward to our next visit!

A good place to get your fix when a sushi craving hits! The fish is super fresh 99% of the time, and the restaurant is always clean. Staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable. They also have a great online ordering system if you don't feel like dining in.

I have had better sushi elsewhere. So we ordered: -Spicy Sashimi salmon -Krispy crunchy roll -beef teriyaki with rice -unagi roll With 10% off it came to around $40 for two people We came during the Covid-19 pandemic and they were doing 10% off. They advertised on Yelp that if you dine-in, you get 10% off by checking-in. Because we saw the advertisement and check-in offer on Yelp, we thought that dine-in was available. Unfortunately we were misled. We actually took the bus to the restaurant and taking the bus back home wasn't really an option for us at that time. We took our food and ate it at the park. It wasn't the most comfy option but we had no other choice. The order took about 30 mins to make. The food was so so. The spicy salmon sashimi was super drenched in sauce. The flavor was not as great compared to their competitors. The beef teriyaki was quite tasty but again it was drenched in sauce as well. The most upsetting was the krispy crunchy roll. It was really cream cheese, with tamago and smoked salmon on top. There were almost no crunchy to it. The tiny bits of crunchy spreaded on the roll were not even crunchy at all. That roll was super disappointing. The unagi roll was nothing special and it tasted like everywhere else. Overall, it wasn't wow. The portion size was ok and it is all reflected in the price. I read some Yelpers mentioned about the big portion size. Like I said it was just standard portion size for the price you pay. There are parking outside right in front of the restaurant if you are driving. I have had better Japanese food elsewhere.

A coworker suggested this restaurant; I wasn't too familiar with the area, so was open to anything. We came at around 530, and the place was pretty busy, but we were still able to get a table right away. Food came out at a good pace, service was efficient. Good portion sizes. They have daily specials. The special that day was the mango roll, which tasted great. The mango was sweet, and not in an artificial way. I had two orders of rolls and left feeling nice and full. My coworker had the spicy tuna sashimi, which actually consisted of a very generous portion of tuna. I didn't try her meal, but she said it's very spicy, so she requests for the sauce on the side. Ample free parking out side. Free wifi available.

Assorted sushi combo - 9/10 Great! Really liked the tuna the way they cut it, so soft and creamy. Miso soup was good too. House roll - 7.8/10 Solid sushi, but not as good as their other items Dragon roll - 8.5/10 Really good price but I wish there was cucumber and less avocado Awesome roll - 9/10! Really good tea and really cheap, overall: 9.5/10!

No dine-in but they offer 10% off takeout orders. I usually get the Mixed Combo (cali, dynamite, salmon, tuna), which has a decent portion for a reasonable price. They usually have a line up so i suggest ordering online (they have a website) and paying in store to save time.

The place is simply amazing. Food is fresh and service is quick. We never had to wait for anything or ask for anything again and again. Place is clean and tidy. The crispy crab sushi was absolutely smashing and I want more of it!! Highly recommended Food: 4/5 Service :4/5 Ambience: 4/5

Takoyaki - Taste was great. Batter too runny tho.

Had a sushi craving on a Saturday afternoon so I googled the closest sushi place near my friend's place. I did not expect much but the interior design of Sushi & Roll gives me a good feeling :) We ordered takoyaki and a party tray (A). I have to say: everything's better than expected, even though most are fusion dishes. Takoyaki: excellent ratio of batter, octopus, sauce and bonito flakes. Batter is a bit too runny tho. (It was my friend's first time trying takoyaki and he was mind blown.) Party tray- Salmon roll: classic. Thick and fresh salmon. Seaweed is okay. California roll: A lot of crab meat! Their avocado taste really good too. Very smooth. BC roll: First time trying BC roll ever - may not ever order again because I can make it myself? This place made it okay tho. Spicy Tuna roll: I didn't like the hot sauce on top. It's a spiciness that doesn't match sushi imo. But my friend enjoyed it a lot... Dynamite roll: My fave in this meal! First time having this onion & garlic sauce on a roll, surprisingly delicious. Alaska roll: average. Wasabi: good spicy :) Great overall! Would come back to try other rolls or sashimi.

First of all, I was shocked to be served lukewarm tea. Not hot at all. I had negitoro roll, Smoke salmon/cream cheese roll and ebimayo. Ebimayo means prawn with mayonnaise in Japanese. I found deep fried thin sliced roots vegetable over it. Savory sweet and match with ebimayo. It was interesting combination but surprisingly good. Smoke salmon/cream cheese roll would be just ok. I expected more smoky/salty flavor but salmon tasted very flat. And texture of rice was very hard like grocery store's to go sushi box one. I think price was very affordable. But when I pay the tip by credit card, % selection was 15%, 20% and 25%. Server lady often served tea but what else? Since I had bad experience at beginning, when I found the "25%", I was disappointed at all.

Wow...came expecting good service and witnessed a server trying to physically fight a customer. The server was unhappy that the small child (maybe 2) was finishing a small snack and told the parents if he wouldn't eat sushi they shouldn't be there. The parents stated the child would eat some beef or chicken teriyaki but needed to finish a snack quickly as he was starving and there was a line for tables. The couple left the restaurant with their small child and the male server was throwing fists at the window to them, this poor young family, the child was asking why fighting for sushi. So disgusting, I have never been back since. What a screw up on the part of the staff.

Tenpura - seafood (slice of fish, seafood stuffed vegetable and vegetable(shiitake) 9 pieces of sushi Daily miso soup - clam Dessert - kinako and mitarashi dango Chawan mushi was great. I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. I wish this item could be a bit more softer and buttery, but it was still good. Akaebi(red shrimp) and Hokkaido sea urchin - Lightly torched the top of sea urchin and its smokiness brought out more sweetness flavor of Akaebi(red shrimp) Hokkaido Scallop - Very smooth, soft and nice texture. Delicious. Kinmedai(Gold eye snapper) -- My favorite. Texture was very soft and chewy, It was great item. Hokkaido sea urchin - Actually, this one was just ok. I wish it could be more creamy. The kid doesn't have sashimi. But again it is $1 per age of the kid. The food here was very delicious. The sashimi was a bit on the small end but it was ok. They have prawn tempura in their AYCE menu. I came here for lunch so it was only $32 per person which was not bad. They have a regular menu, but my buddy and I were here for allyoucaneat. They have a lunch and dinner menu, but no late nite. Last call is 30 minutes before closing, so don't come too late in the evening. Sushi here is quite fresh. Selection is not the largest, but it's pretty decent. The one glaring thing that stood out is that other than chicken/beef teriyaki, there are no hot food items (skewers, karaage, ribs etc.). I'm not going to hold this against them, but it's definitely something to keep in mind before showing up. On the other hand, there is no limit for the ice cream scoops at the end. Beautiful. They have chocolate and vanilla. Worth checking out if one is in the area. Recommended.
