Albacore tuna with pickled kimchi style veggies on top

Had reservations for dinner Wednesday night and arrived early to enjoy happy hour before sitting. We were seated right away and informed that we could order happy hour anywhere in the restaurant which was pretty cool. The happy hour menu offered a few drink specials along with starters. The food listed was regular price, while a handful of their cocktails were discounted a few dollars. We decided to forgo happy hour and skip straight to dinner since. We started with the Dirty Jane and Hotel Georgia from the bar. We both really enjoyed the Hotel Georgia. The orange blossom water gave it a delightful flavor that danced across my tongue and left me eager to taste more. The Dirty Jane wasn't quite our flavor palate, but worth a try for its uniqueness. After receiving our drinks Lauren took our dinner order. We started with the frites and beet salad. The beet salad was beautiful and much larger than we anticipated with beautiful slices of beet, pickled shaved carrots, and whipped goat cheese balls. The frites were crisp and golden on the outside and soft on the inside. Shaved Parmesan cheese blanked the frites and a miso dipping sauce added dipable flavor. From there we each ordered the fall prix fixe menu which boasted a starter, a main dish, and a desert for $39.00 which was a total steal! There was also the option to add a wine paring onto the meal for $39.90. They were mainly white whines so I skipped the pairing and opted for a second cocktail. My prize fixe started out with the albacore tuna that arrived seared with a kimchi vegetable display on top. It was unique, flavorful, and fun! For dinner I enjoyed the pad Thai while my husband had the New York steak. He thoroughly enjoyed his meat, vegetables, and potatoes even saying that the outer was the best tasting baby food he's ever had. He nearly licked the plate! The pad Thai was unique- I wouldn't say it was a typical pad Thai dish for me it my husband who has spent a lot of time in Thailand, but it was flavorful and yummy. For desert we each had the vanilla gelato. It as another very unique dish that sent my tastebuds into a frenzy as they worked to piece the flavors together. Vanilla gelato was topped with a chunk of chocolate, sea salt, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. It was a fun ending. Wrapping up our meals my husband ordered the high mountain woody which was probably the best drink of the four we tried. Very unique and fun! I ended my night with the full Nelson which was delicious but a tad bitter. It does have whiskey bitters in it, which I appreciate just didn't overly love. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. The restaurant was not very crowded, but might fill more on the weekend. If you are in the neighborhood I highly recommend stopping by to give your tastebuds a treat! Parking is in the lot beside the restaurant or on the street. After dinner you can mosey a street over to peruse the darling main street shops.

Thirty bucks for a steak-- not bad! It says it comes with chimichurri so I was a bit confused by the green paste on top. I also wish they threw in some greens to balance the meal out a bit. The flavor was good though; the steak had a nice smoky profile to it.

The Salted Vine Kitchen & Bar is a higher end restaurant in the small town Squamish. Decor is definitely nicer than the other restaurants in the area. Love the relaxing environment. My friend and I had a girl's weekend out. We ended up dining here during happy hour. They have Happy Hour daily between 3pm to 5 pm. We both ordered the TSV burger that came with fries for $22 and we shared 6 oysters for $12. The oysters were super delicious and fresh. I really liked the vinaigrette that went with it. The TSV burger was delicious on first bite. However when I got to the end, I found the burger had too much mayo and was too rich. It was a very flavorful burger for sure. The fries were very salty. I think overall, everything was delicious except for the salty fries. I didn't end up finish the fries because I felt the burn and abrasion on my lips. Service was ok. I guess they were somewhat short staffed. So, I am not going to put a lot of weight on the service. The owner was onsite that day. I believe the server came late to work or something. The bartender and the owner tried to sub in when the server wasn't available at the beginning. However, our glasses were not filled when it was empty. There was a time where my friend flagged the server over to get some salt and pepper and I am sure the server saw that my glass was empty and he didn't bother refilling it. When the server showed up, we did find her a bit forgetful and a bit scrambling trying to manage 4 tables. Overall, I would come back. It is definitely one of the better restaurants and better deal in Downtown Squamish.

The cold, not so flavorful meatballs with even colder ragu sauce. Great veggies though.

Initially 3/5 but brought down to a 1 after the owner's attitude. It is also NOT an upscale dining experience like their website states. I thought this was a university pub. Food: I thought the food was okay. The albacore tuna was nice but the duck confit and meatballs that my partner and I got were not great. The best thing about it was the vegetables, which had a very nice natural sweetness to it. However, the duck felt a bit dry and the meatball dish was just cold. Not even lukewarm after waiting for almost an hour. Experience: My partner and I were invited for dinner by our friends on a Thursday night, and we were all appalled by the owner's attitude. Our friend made a reservation at this place, and as we were walking in, we were greeted by an unhappy and grumbly host (which turned out to be the owner). After we were seated, we noticed that there was a large group of people celebrating someone's birthday and we were seated right next to them. The group eventually became increasingly loud, and I could not hear what our friends were saying because I was sitting on the other side of the table. A group of 4 people could barely hold a conversation unless my partner was relaying what they were saying and relaying what I was saying because the large group was talking across the table, shouting, cheering, and clapping right next to us. But it's really not the group's fault for reserving the restaurant to celebrate their birthday. We just thought it was very weird for the restaurant to have tables available right next to the party and not have that area closed off for the party. And because of the party, some of the food was not available and we felt like our food was forgotten, given the long wait. After our friend talked to the waitress about it, the owner came and that was when we found out that the guy that greeted us was the owner. Our friend basically told him that 1. The area should have been closed off if there was such a big party 2. If it's not closed off, they should have informed us beforehand about the noise and delay in food Which was a very fair thing to say in my opinion. And the owner's response was that 1. I did everything right and nothing was wrong 2. We should have just went to the patio 3. There's no way they are closing the restaurant for 32 people if they can fit '90' people and that we are wrong but we are free to think that way First off, saying that you can fit 90 people is an outright lie, as the large group was taking up the majority of the indoor dining area. Secondly, we were getting chilly so we decided against the patio. If we had known about the situation earlier, we would have rather stayed cold in the patio or not have dined in at all. I did not understand the owner's demeanor and his defensive, argumentative attitude to what seems like a pretty reasonable feedback. Claiming that this is an 'upscale' dining experience is a joke. I've had better and quieter dining experience with warm food and prompt service at university pubs. This was easily the worst dining experience of this year. Our waitress was pleasant but the owner really needs an attitude check.

OMG...best gourmet food in Squamish! We found this restaurant by process of elimination on Thanksgiving Sunday. Very few places were open so we gave this place a try. What a fabulous experience! From being greeted by the owner Paul to our friendly waitress to the exceptional food, we were satisfied customers. We'll definitely return in the future. Reservations are recommended, although we managed to secure a table for 3 of us.

Best stop in Squamish, hands down. The cocktails were exceptional, but the food put even them to shame. Think fresh bread with lemon butter (whatttt? didn't even know this was a thing, but now I'm obsessed). Light and refreshing seared tuna with radishes. A perfect beet salad with goat cheese. The. Best. Fried. Cauliflower. Ever. I fully planned on sampling their scrumptious desserts, but by the end of the meal, I was so full that I had to call it quits sans sweets. The price, ambience, and quality all lined up for a total win of a meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area, or even 30 mins away. It's worth the drive.

They also had a Halloween cocktail list. The hostess was friendly, but our server killed our experience. Her words were friendly but her facial expressions and body language revealed how much she disliked serving us. My husband and I spoke after, we both felt she was probably racist. Their happy hour menu had a big selection of food items but no drinks. Everything was pretty expensive for happy hour. We tried the raw Albertan elk tartare and potato puffs. We enjoyed both dishes and the portions were big. As much as we enjoyed the food, we probably won't return due to the slow and uncomfortable service.

Though the restaurant was largely empty when we arrived, we were sat at a booth that at best sat 4 and was not enough for the 5 in our group. We tend to eat lots of appetizers rather than one big meal so I knew the table would not work - we asked to be moved and the server was quite confrontational - she eventually agreed to move us to one of two larger tables that was available the whole time we were there! But it was a weird start and had we not already ordered drinks and it been a Saturday night with most places booked - I would have walked as I don't ever recall been talked to like that in a restaurant and my guess is they moved us in time to stop us leaving. She also told us that she would stagger courses appropriately- that never happened. Pretty much everything arrived at once which I wondered if it was an attempt to flip the table quickly for other large parties - who were not exactly lining up in abundance. The other large table sat empty even after we left. It arrived so, so fast I would guess that a lot of it was pre prepared and just heated up as multiple plates were brought out less than 10 minutes of ordering. Also most of the appetizers and salad arrived last so they seemingly did not know or care to course appropriately. We also ended up stacking dishes at the end of the table as they were not removed- though to be fair, they appeared to be woefully understaffed . Food had some hits and some misses .The meat eaters loved the chicken, the shishito peppers were excellent, , watermelon salad was good, potatoes croquettes were a shadow of their former selves and needed more flavor , mussels were okay and the Creme brûlée was gritty! Weird vibe, mediocre service, food was just okay - much better places to eat in the Village so I wont go back.

They're located in Chinatown and I love that they lean into the Asian theme with the apothecary and medicinal themed drinks. The service is super friendly and the ambiance is intimate but lively. All the cocktails we had here were amazing! I don't like martinis but I decided to try one again here, since I figured that if I don't like this one, I won't like any martini. The Forager's Martini was actually super refreshing. It was ice cold in a carafe and I felt that it was more of a 50/50 martini. It was botanical forward and had a lot of complexity. I still prefer other cocktails but it definitely changed my mind on martinis. Another stand out to me was the Gimme S'more. It was a seasonal drink so they might not have it when you go, but it tasted just like a mix of s'mores and champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate). The drink had the pumpernickel toasty flavors of rye, and mixed with the cocoa, amaro, and cayenne gave it complexity and a hint of spice at the back of the palate. The graham cracker foam on top added the s'mores vibe since it tasted exactly like a graham cracker. Another non-seasonal drink I really liked was the Fantasy Island. It kinda reminded me of a cosmopolitan with its tart fruit forward flavors. The strawberry, rhubarb, and pomegranate worked together to make a perfect sweet and sour balance. The egg white added structure and a foam to the drink which I really enjoyed and contributed to the velvety mouthfeel.
