I came back for another mini vacation and had breakfast here. I had the ahi tuna crudo breakfast bowl and it was amazing! I loved the generous serving of the ahi tuna and roasted potatoes. The dish was so delicious. It came with the tuna, fresh avocado slices, pickled onion, salsa, cherry tomato, poached eggs and potatoes. I didn't see any nori in my dish despite the menu description. It was a small matter as I was more interested in the tuna. I would order this again in a heartbeat! At $28.90, it was not budget friendly but definitely worth a splurge. The other dishes on the menu were more affordable. There was a breakfast special of eggs, choice of meat, toast and potatoes for $12.90 from 8-10 am on weekdays. Parking is shared with The Oceanside hotel as it is located on the same premises. Very convenient place for hotel guests when looking for food.

Three of us ate here for dinner. Great location. Love the building and the white beam interior ambiance. Looks like we picked an unusually busy night but we got good seats and eventually were served great hot meals. I'd say our server really made our experience exceptional. We had an indecisive family member and we all requested certain substitutes. Our server was patient and offered us great advice. I have zero complaints about that. Perhaps the only issue was I felt the fish and chips, well at least the fish, was fried far too long. While not crisped beyond palatableness, it certainly wasn't golden crisp like the usual standards. Not sure if that's by design. Perhaps the chef wats to avoid mushy at all costs. I also thought only three prawns on the steak was a bit chintzy. Fortunately the steak was done to absolutely perfectionism. We were all very happy to pay the bit larger bill for an ostensibly casual eatery but ten hey, we're on a Sunshine Coast vacation. As well being busy that night I noticed the various staff were utilized to provide help throughout our time there other than just our one server. I got the sense that everyone was dedicated and happy making sure everything ran smoothly for their patrons. Great job everyone.

Food is great, service awesome and the ambiance is nice not to loud just right.i really appreciate the breachetta .

Day 22 of posting daily Yelp reviews that rhyme Joe's on the Beach, a place to see, In Sechelt, BC, it's right by the sea. The service was great, the servers were nice But the food, a bit pricey so it wouldn't suffice. Lobster Tacos, Fish and Tacos I ordered too, Tasty, but the portion was a bit small if I'm being true. The sauce was great, tasted almost homemade But $40, it's a bit steep, so not sure if I would've stayed Joe's on the Beach, a 3.5-star place, It seems like it's the only restaurant in its state Meaning that there was no other places to go, it was only them Would I recommend? Totally depends.

    Ahi tuna crudo, very yummy!

I've always wanted to do something like this but have been a bit nervous to do so but he made the class fun, funny, and so easy! You have the chance to make 3 bespoke artisan cocktails during this 3 hour class, 2 of their signatures and then the 3rd Aaron let us pick! He made it so easy and explained each step well, also how to use the tools properly along with sharing some great tips on shaking, measuring and also the importance of balance in your cocktail. I enjoyed every minute as well as consuming the cocktails after... each so delicious made with their in house liquors. If I had room I would have bought several bottles with me to take home!

Aaron came out as we were looking for Plan B and let us know the event had just ended and they were open again. (5 loud cheers on the street for sure!) I tried both the Kyoto and Wet Work, enjoying them both. They would even work as a blend of one another. My dad accidentally ordered a chocolate martini instead of an espresso martini, and Aaron made it happen. (The entire table loved it! Take that poured over some ice cream and I'd be far too content!) My brother had the gin martini, and while not a fan of gin straight up, it had a nice smooth finish that I could appreciate.

We had the salmon chowder, Thai mussels, soy dijon salmon, short rib, and seafood pasta. Everything tasted great, but some of the seafood was slightly overcooked. The focaccia that came with the soup and mussels were a crowd favorite. It felt like a ciabatta bread, but seasoned like a focaccia. The short rib was tender and the vegetables tasted amazing. I loved the gravy that came with the dish. The soy dijon salmon was overcooked, but still tasted good. The sauce was so flavorful and I couldn't get enough of it. The seafood pasta was cooked al dente and felt refreshing. They gave a generous portion of seafood. I personally would have liked a tiny bit more lemon, but otherwise I would order this dish again. Our server Michael provided excellent customer service. We mentioned that we would be sharing the appies and without us having to ask, he split the soup into 3 individual portions. He was super friendly and went above and beyond for us.

Good quick service from friendly staff. Reasonably quick delivery of our orders (Thai soup, curried lentil wraps). Good, price-friendly dessert choice. So: good service, good food, fantastic view. And in season their outdoor terrace will open and it will offer a lovely seaside experience. If I have one complaint: loud. It's not their fault - the hard surfaces, as with most restaurants these days, tend to bounce noise and clatter around. But the good things easily outweigh that.

We were pleasantly impressed by the wonderful view from the patio overlooking Porpoise Bay. The service was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the fish and chips that we noticed other customers were enjoying as well as a glass of white wine. While waiting for our meal we enjoyed the lovely view of the mountains, bay and boats while sipping on our glass of wine. Everything was perfect! The meal arrived and it was beyond my expectations. I rarely order fish and chips and I would definitely order it again at the lighthouse pub. The fish was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. The portions were great for me and my big appetite. The price was reasonable for such a lovely meal and atmosphere. I look forward to going back to eat there again on my next visit.

The menu is quite large, lots of mains and handhelds to choose from. Our group ordered the salmon burger, beef burger, beef quesadilla and pasta carbonara. All was good and tasty. Especially loved the yam fries!! Our only complaint was the wait. It took a while to get our drinks, and also to order the food. For drinks I ordered a lavender coconut margarita, it was quite strong and a bit too salty. The others had different beers so no issues on that side. Overall a good place to have a relaxed meal.

Our server was a family member of the family owned business and boy was she really nice. She filled our travelling water bottles with ice and fresh water for the road trip to Earls Cove, then helped us through ordering a build your own breakfasts kind of deal as we wanted eclectic items. The overeasy eggs - while normally pretty basic by short order standards - were actually done perfectly. No greasy fried bits showing just perfect circular eggwhites and yolks. The sourdough toast was simple but tasted thick and "meaty" with just the right amount of butter. Yes, sounds silly to nail down superlative descriptions for basic toast, but hey, it seemed like everything had that home cooked vibe about it where food is made with care and concern. The pancakes were beyond basic as one member of my family who loves flapjacks noted the fluffy texture and classic taste perfection. The indecisive one of us finally asked for a burger and mashed potatoes at 10:30am. No problem was the reply. Our daughter dug in immediately at its serving and again, all smiles and dripping juices. Coffee was totally adequate, refills consistent, and the tea was hot. Price was so very fair other than we tipped too high perhaps being so tickled pink having expected more of a greasy spoon experience. And that it was not.
