Lovely pub located on the Sechelt Inlet wharf, right next to the seaplane airport. Amazing views of the Inlet, especially at sunset. The menu is quite large, lots of mains and handhelds to choose from. Our group ordered the salmon burger, beef burger, beef quesadilla and pasta carbonara. All was good and tasty. Especially loved the yam fries!! Our only complaint was the wait. It took a while to get our drinks, and also to order the food. For drinks I ordered a lavender coconut margarita, it was quite strong and a bit too salty. The others had different beers so no issues on that side. I was driving along the coast and happened to see this place. I decided to stop for a light meal as I was not that hungry. I had the seafood chowder and it did disappoint. It was flavorful and chockfull of fish, clams, mussels, shrimps and potatoes. The garlic toast went well with it. Service was so-so. I think it was only one server that day so it was a bit slow. The view was fantastic. The sechelt inlet was just so beautiful with the snow topped mountains and clear waters. While dining, we happened to see a seal! A flock of seagulls were dive bombing it though. Not sure why. The seal stayed in the inlet for a while. You also get to see the seaplanes here as it is where Harbour Air Seaplanes are. The pub is quite spacious and there are pool tables in the center. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. I can see it being a busy place in the evening or on weekends. read more

We were visiting Sechelt and looking for a place to have a late lunch.We looked up our possibilities on Yelp and decided on trying the Lighthouse pub. We were pleasantly impressed by the wonderful view from the patio overlooking Porpoise Bay. The service was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the fish and chips that we noticed other customers were enjoying as well as a glass of white wine. While waiting for our meal we enjoyed the lovely view of the mountains, bay and boats while sipping on our glass of wine. Everything was perfect! The meal arrived and it was beyond my expectations. I rarely order fish and chips and I would definitely order it again at the lighthouse pub. The fish was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. The portions were great for me and my big appetite. The price was reasonable for such a lovely meal and atmosphere. I look forward to going back to eat there again on my next visit. read more

Great waterfront spot in Sechelt. The view over Porpoise Bay is hard to beat, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Portions are generous, prices fair, and while the food isn't fine dining, it's tasty and consistent for classic pub fare. Extremely slow service. It took 20 minutes to get a menu and a glass of water. Patrons at every table I could see were all getting their food at different times. My order, the worst most tastless curry dish I have ever eaten) arrived 20 minutes before my son's order that we eventually cancelled and left hungry. The curry dish as it was called had no curry in it annd and violated food safety standards by having mussels with shells that did not open during the cooking process. We went there for lunch, appears to be a very popular place, we were there at 12 noon, that's when it is open & the places was filling up fast. We had the fish & chips, unfortunately they err out of Halibut. Having said that , the Cod fish batter was very light & crunchy with a nice flaky fish delighting your palate. The chips were fresh & nice, enjoyed that. The coleslaw was blah... not enough dressing. The seafood chowder was so yummy... lots of clams with huge pieces of salmon... . View was fantastic! Covid protocol was great, they are wiping down the laminated menus, servers are wearing mask. After each table is done, they wipe down the chairs, arm rest & table. They cleaned all high touch areas. The price for the food is robbing your wallet if you read the menu. There only good for their wings,the Lighthouse pub is just a name that sounds fancy and draws you in but trust me it's not. The food I can't say if it's good there no words good to describe it. Service is not nice and the people who work there are not nice to you. Ambiance is very Loyd you can't hear or talk to the person who you're sitting with plus they have not changed the menu in 20yrs, it could really have some new stuff on the menu taste better and better than the same old same. Showed up to the Lighthouse Pub on a Friday night at 5:45pm. Maybe 3 total inside tables were occupied, with a few more parties on the patio. The hostess (who was clearly flustered by the notion that people might come through the front door proposing to exchange currency for food and beverages) breathlessly appeared and informed us it would be at least a 40 minute wait to be seated, and that the kitchen was quite backed up with orders, so we shouldn't expect food for some time even once we had a table. I understand and appreciate that Covid-19 did a number on the service industry, but I cannot for the life of me understand how it can be so difficult to adequately staff a restaurant at this stage. Managerial incompetence? Ownership stinginess? Whatever the cause, we declined to wait 90 minutes for a beer and burger this evening, and instead took our custom to one of the many other restaurants in Sechelt who are happy to actually serve food. read more

In my opinion, this restaurant is mostly about its location. You pay to eat with a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains but in my experience, the food and service were lacking. You seat yourself, which seemed to cause a bit of disorganization among the servers because no one came to give us menus or water for a few minutes after we sat down. Once we decided what to order, we had to wait maybe another 5-8 minutes for someone to take our order. The server who came said to us, "Hi guys, sorry about that. You know what, I'm not going to keep you waiting any longer. Can I take your order?". That indicated to us that she wasn't supposed to be our server but had noticed that no one was tending to our table. After taking our order, she proceeded to remove the menus from our table. Maybe 2 minutes later, a different server greeted us and attempted to give us menus but we let her know we had already ordered. Like I said, kind of disorganized. The food was very average, especially for the price. I ordered the Cutter Cobb Salad ($17.95) and was underwhelmed by the portion as well as the fact that the chicken looked like the same kind I'd get in a Tim Hortons salad. When I brought that up to our server she politely granted my request for a discount. My boyfriend ordered their sirloin steak sandwich ($21?) and we were both unimpressed with the presentation of his dish and the fact that it was a bit confusing how to eat it. Regardless, he said the dish was satisfactory. The one thing we ordered that did taste good was the calamari but again, that was overpriced for the amount of food you get. Overall I wouldn't come back here just because I don't think the quality of the food or service matches the price you pay to eat here. The location is excellent that's about it. read more

The Lighthouse Pub is divided into 2 sections. The main pub side and the family friendly side, which was called The Buccaneers. We ate on the Buccaneers side close to the patio. I had the wild salmon burger with seafood soup. The salmon burger was not overcooked at all and was still juicy. It was topped with guacamole, lettuce and onion. The soup was on the saltier side with pieces of fish, clams and rice. There's a kid's menu so I ordered the chicken stripes and fries for my daughter. The chicken pieces were big and tender. The fries might have been fried too long, but still good. I wish the drink that came with the meal had a lid, but I transferred it into her own sippy cup. The ice cream dessert was gigantic and I ended up sharing with her. The food wasn't bad with just some small tweeks needed. The view though, now that's why I ate here. read more

The view alone is outstanding with decent bar prices, but my husband and I were extra excited to find out that they have a Happy Appy Hour (not advertised on their website). Their happy hour is between 3 PM to 5 PM every day, and Sunday-Thursday they have an additional 8 PM to 10 PM. They had so many delicious sounding items on their happy hour menu that we ended up grabbing four of them: garlic prawns, pepperoni pizza, yam fries (they don't have the chipotle mayo it comes with anymore and received just mayo--the only detriment, since that was part of the reason we ordered it), and hot wings. (They also had drink specials and such, but too many to list! If you want a drink, you'll be able to get one for $5 during that time period.) All of the items were really good, the garlic prawns were amazing and I could have easily ordered four servings of just that for myself! Our server had a large section but was friendly and was able to juggle them all like a pro. COVID measures included a full wipe-down of the seats in addition to the table, which was nice to see as we hadn't experienced that in any other restaurant. read more

Surprisingly there wasn't a lot of seating for a group of six, so we ended up being in another section that was pretty removed from the rest of the room. It worked out really well as we didn't have to fight to hear over the conversations going on in the rest of the space. Unfortunate it seems that they were quite understaffed on the front end. It appeared that there was only one server for the entire floor. This lead to pretty slow service, but our server was very pleasant and communicative. The food was good across the board. Some of the prices seemed steep, however when the meal arrived, it proved to be worth it. I was pleasantly surprised as were the rest of my group. Great view! The ocean, the mountains, the marina, the float planes coming and going, wow! I am looking forward to warmer weather when we can enjoy the patio. I had delicious beer (Townsite! Yum!) and it was on special. Servers and staff were all perky, friendly, and not shy to check in on us, which was a good thing, Mr B was raving about his fish and chips, so much I made him upsize to a 2 piece fish, the 2nd piece was delivered before he was even halfway though his lunch. Bravo to the staff. The Cobb salad was HUGE and loaded with fresh veggies. They got it right by putting all the dressing on the side, and remembering no onions! I was enjoying eavesdropping on a neighbouring table, a couple of old farts with filthy mouths gossiping and bs-ing about old friends and acquaintances, good jobs, bad deals, and boats, women, trucks - what local flavour! Great food. Huge burger, excellent smoked salmon salad with roasted veg. Too bad the order took so long. We got our appy mussels in good time, but it was half an hour after that before we saw the rest of our food. That's 45 minutes since ordering. We could see the cooks scrambling around in the kitchen. For a Saturday night on a long weekend, they should have staffed better. Came back the next evening hoping that a Sunday evening would be better. It was worse. Again, great food. The fish tacos, and wings are top notch. Again, over 45 minutes wait. A nearby table was told the cook forgot their order. The family next to us (we were in the restaurant side), suffered squirmy, hungry kids - also victims of poor staffing. We overheard a guest saying it looked like there was only one cook in the kitchen. I'll give this place another chance because the food is really good. We stopped to have a nice scenic lunch for my wife's birthday weekend. The views are magnificent and they are one of the few places open on a Sunday. The menu has typical pub fare and prices are what you expect with such a beautiful view. I had the halibut tacos and my wife the club sandwich. The food was pretty tasty for a pub with enough choices to satisfy most guests. Our food took longer than expected to arrive amd we suspect our server forgot to enter the order as everyone else's food came out faster than ours. The hit was the banana cheesecake churro dessert. Giving one star here because zero is not an option. It took over an hour and a half to get our food, which wouldn't have been so bad if the food itself wasn't terrible. The mussels had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for way too long, the fish and chips were incredibly greasy and dry, the stir fry really had no sauce, and the "crispy bacon" on the chicken club was just wobbly pieces of pig fat. All of that said, the server was wonderful. They were clearly understaffed, but she was positive and pleasant the entire time. At least the beer was good? Went out for dinner here late on a Friday and we were seated right away. We split the titanic nachos with chicken and avocado. It was a HUGE serving. They were decent tasting nachos, not anything spectacular but they were good. We were both stuffed after the nachos so we didn't need to order entrees. I've eaten here maybe three times. I tried three new things. The caesar salad was quite the experience! It's served uncut. I've never had it this way. It looks more appealing and actually fun (and easier) to eat! The dressing is also not the usual. I think it has some avocado in the dressing. I really enjoyed the lightness of it. The uncut lettuce was crisp and very fresh! And there was a generous amount of parmesan. yum. I also tried the salt & pepper chicken wings. TO DIE FOR!!!! I honestly wanted another plate of it all to myself. They were SO GOOD! The chicken wings were cooked perfectly! They were not greasy at all. The blue cheese dip that came with it was perfect for it! The wings came with slaw. I asked for more dressing on my slaw as I like it better that way. The server was very friendly and accomodating of my request. :) The next item I tried was the Seafood in Coconut Curry. Oh man, There was a lot in that plate! I felt bad that I couldn't finish it. I wanted to eat all of it because it was really delicious. But my tummy was too full. If you want to try something different, you should try this! There's lots of seafood and vegetables in it. The coconut curry sauce was just right. I loved the flavor. It wasn't too spicy nor was it too creamy. I felt comforted by this dish. I hear the chicken burger and salmon burger are really good too. Went to The Lighthouse Pub for some Coffee and Hot Chocolate visiting family. Upon arrival a member of our party forgot their id, and we weren't able to enter the pub half, so we enter the restaurant side to a completely empty area, with no staff at all. We sat ourselves as the sign stated, and waited 10 minutes before walking into the lounge to request for a waiter. Our waitress comes over and takes our drink orders, to which that is all we were having, returns with the drinks and tells us as she drops them off, that we aren't allowed to stay if we have just drinks and we need to buy food. To our confusion why she wouldn't mention when we said we were just having coffee, ask why and she tells us since we, the only customers on the restaurant half are on the restaurant half, we have to order food, since we weren't on the lounge side. She then tells us Fries are the cheapest on the menu, $5. I was more than alright with leaving, but the family figured the view was beautiful enough to stay for the drinks and we could suffice with Fries. Then after staying a bit longer to finish the unwanted Fries, which in turn were good for what we ate, we found multiple chunks of green tortilla chips. After another 15 before our waitress returns for anything, and we have to ask a cook to find her for us, the sarcastic waitress returns, and when we ask her all she says "That's our Nacho chips", to which I reply "is that not cross contaminating dishes? Why would there be another dish in my fries?" And she quite literally repeated the exact same words. "That's just our nacho chips." Realized that wasn't going anywhere, and left immediately. Definitely not coming back, can tell what kind of service you're gonna get when you go. If you're not spending on liquor you're not gonna get served. The restaurant has two sections: inside and outside on the deck. The deck had two sections, smoking and non smoking. It loses one star because those sections are not really that far apart and I really don't want to eat food while in the air with smoke. There's a part of the deck that wraps around the side that's segregated from the rest-that's where the smoking section should be. They lose another star because three times that we have gone there, it has taken over 45 mins to get our food. One time it took an hour and fifteen minutes and all we order normally is the pasta and the burger. If you plan to go to the pub, I suggest you plan to stay a while. read more
