Great food and quick service. Taco Tuesday is such a great deal $8 each. Delicious grilled cod tacos and generous Caesar salad. Amazing view to top it all off. Another great visit to the Lighthouse Pub.

I was driving along the coast and happened to see this place. I decided to stop for a light meal as I was not that hungry. I had the seafood chowder and it did disappoint. It was flavorful and chockfull of fish, clams, mussels, shrimps and potatoes. The garlic toast went well with it. Service was so-so. I think it was only one server that day so it was a bit slow. The view was fantastic. The sechelt inlet was just so beautiful with the snow topped mountains and clear waters. While dining, we happened to see a seal! A flock of seagulls were dive bombing it though. Not sure why. The seal stayed in the inlet for a while. You also get to see the seaplanes here as it is where Harbour Air Seaplanes are. The pub is quite spacious and there are pool tables in the center. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. I can see it being a busy place in the evening or on weekends.

Rainy day but we found this pub offering a nice menu. Mussels and prawns were on the menu and were delicious. Such a treat. Place was busy but not overcrowded. Staff was friendly and not rushed to eat our dinner. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable experience.

We went there for lunch, appears to be a very popular place, we were there at 12 noon, that's when it is open & the places was filling up fast. We had the fish & chips, unfortunately they err out of Halibut. Having said that , the Cod fish batter was very light & crunchy with a nice flaky fish delighting your palate. The chips were fresh & nice, enjoyed that. The coleslaw was blah... not enough dressing. The seafood chowder was so yummy... lots of clams with huge pieces of salmon... . View was fantastic! Covid protocol was great, they are wiping down the laminated menus, servers are wearing mask. After each table is done, they wipe down the chairs, arm rest & table. They cleaned all high touch areas. Felt very safe!

Had a lovely time here eating out in the patio. Even with the BC smog this summer the view was still lovely. You're surrounded by water and forest, with the dock close by as sea planes land further out. Food was good and lots of options. Typical food, including a couple seafood options. Waitress was great and it is a 19+ location so if you don't like screaming kids, this is the place for you

In my opinion, this restaurant is mostly about its location. You pay to eat with a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains but in my experience, the food and service were lacking. You seat yourself, which seemed to cause a bit of disorganization among the servers because no one came to give us menus or water for a few minutes after we sat down. Once we decided what to order, we had to wait maybe another 5-8 minutes for someone to take our order. The server who came said to us, "Hi guys, sorry about that. You know what, I'm not going to keep you waiting any longer. Can I take your order?". That indicated to us that she wasn't supposed to be our server but had noticed that no one was tending to our table. After taking our order, she proceeded to remove the menus from our table. Maybe 2 minutes later, a different server greeted us and attempted to give us menus but we let her know we had already ordered. Like I said, kind of disorganized. The food was very average, especially for the price. I ordered the Cutter Cobb Salad ($17.95) and was underwhelmed by the portion as well as the fact that the chicken looked like the same kind I'd get in a Tim Hortons salad. When I brought that up to our server she politely granted my request for a discount. My boyfriend ordered their sirloin steak sandwich ($21?) and we were both unimpressed with the presentation of his dish and the fact that it was a bit confusing how to eat it. Regardless, he said the dish was satisfactory. The one thing we ordered that did taste good was the calamari but again, that was overpriced for the amount of food you get. Overall I wouldn't come back here just because I don't think the quality of the food or service matches the price you pay to eat here. The location is excellent that's about it.

The Lighthouse Pub is divided into 2 sections. The main pub side and the family friendly side, which was called The Buccaneers. We ate on the Buccaneers side close to the patio. I had the wild salmon burger with seafood soup. The salmon burger was not overcooked at all and was still juicy. It was topped with guacamole, lettuce and onion. The soup was on the saltier side with pieces of fish, clams and rice. There's a kid's menu so I ordered the chicken stripes and fries for my daughter. The chicken pieces were big and tender. The fries might have been fried too long, but still good. I wish the drink that came with the meal had a lid, but I transferred it into her own sippy cup. The ice cream dessert was gigantic and I ended up sharing with her. The food wasn't bad with just some small tweeks needed. The view though, now that's why I ate here.

The food was a mixed bag, some dishes great, some not so much. The general consensus was the beer wasn't great. But I did enjoy my cocktail! The DJ/emcee for music trivia bingo was a lot of fun. You got to choose your Bingo card. He played songs spanning the decades, but you're also allowed to Shazam. He also walked around, looked at our sheets, and pointed out any songs we may have forgotten to stamp. People from our table one 3 out of 5 prizes given that night! THE DRINKS * Passion fruit fizz - 4.5 stars Lovely thick layer of egg white that gave the drink texture, sharp citrus flavor. Also, props to the staff as my partner ordered the wrong drink for me at first - they let me swap out that wrong order for this drink! * Coast Sour - 3 stars This drink was not for me - too strong, flavors not subtle at all. The beers generally weren't great; a lot of them lacked body and complexity. The best one was the IPA, the worst was the cream ale. THE FOOD * Bayou Bite - 4.5 stars The bun & slaw were good, and we liked the bbq sauce. The breading had a great crunch but we had 2 thinner slices which leads to less juicy chicken and too much breading. * Beer Battered Cod Batch Soft Tacos - 4 stars The fish tasted very fresh, with a nice balanced thin layer of breading and lots of toppings that worked well. Don't let it sit too long or it could get pretty soggy. * Nachos - 1-2 stars I didn't try this or get a photo, but my friend said this was pretty bad.

There were many tvs and a big screen projector showing the hockey game. Then I noticed Canucks jerseys hanging from the rafter and on the walls. Ok, so sports was big here. It was not rowdy though. We sat away from the main dining hall and got a corner table near the entrance. Service was ok, took a while for the requested extra napkins to come. Our server forgot about it. Guessed it was busier in the main hall which was on a spilt level up. Food wise, it was decent food in a neighborhood pub. Not a huge selection but it had the typical food here so everyone should be able to get something they like. The calamari was surprisingly good. Tender lightly battered squid, not rubbery at all. The whiskey bbq ribs with fries and slaw were good too. The wild BC salmon burger with clam chowder was so-so. I wished the salmon was a bit less over cooked. Salmon was lightly charred outside and unfortunately the inside was a bit hard. At least not too dry. I would prefer the salmon to just have a light crisp with the inside being 70-80% cooked. The miso glaze was nice though. The clam chowder as the side was bad as it did not taste like it at all. It was more of a cream of vegetables soup with some bits of clams in it. That was a disappointment. Fries or salad for the side in future. I also had the Moscow mule. It had real ginger bits in it. I didn't care for that as you kept getting them in every sip and they were real gingery spicy. Not a place I would make a special trip for, but a decent place for a meal when passing by. Rickie's All Day Grill - Sechelt, BC…read more If you're looking for a reliable, easygoing breakfast or lunch spot in Sechelt, Rickie's All Day Grill hits that sweet spot between comfort and efficiency. Sitting here now, the coffee's hot, the air smells like toasted bread and bacon, and the atmosphere just feels right -- bright, friendly, and clean. The space is spotless and well lit, with plenty of natural light spilling in through big front windows. You can actually relax here. The tables gleam, the booths are tidy, and the hum of conversation feels cheerful but never overwhelming. It's the kind of place where locals and travelers alike can settle in for a meal that feels familiar in all the best ways. Service is another highlight. The staff glide between tables with practiced ease -- warm smiles, quick coffee top-ups, and no awkward waiting around. You get the sense that everyone here knows what "good service" means: calm, friendly, and consistent. The coffee itself is fresh, brewed right, and bottomless in the old-fashioned sense of hospitality that's become too rare. The menu's full of the classics -- eggs, pancakes, omelets, and burgers -- but it's the energy of the place that stands out more than anything on the plate. Even parking is simple. You can pull right up out front, no circling the block or wrestling for space -- which, in Sechelt, makes a world of difference. If there's one detail that jars the scene a little, it's the plastic straws. In a place that's so clean and thoughtfully run, that small choice feels out of sync. The modern diner vibe here deserves better -- something that matches the fresh coffee and polished tables. A simple swap to natural or compostable straws would align perfectly with the tone of care the staff already bring to everything else. Overall, Rickie's in Sechelt is a dependable local gem -- the kind of spot where the morning light, warm smiles, and steady coffee make you feel right at home. Overall: 4.5/5 Coffee: Fresh, refilled often Cleanliness: Excellent Parking: Easy and close Service: Friendly and attentive Suggestion: Ditch the plastic straws -- the atmosphere deserves better or simply add an eco premium choice such as the new rye straws popping up everywhere. Love those little straws.
