    Seafood chowder. I want more.

FUXS GIVEN = x.x ******************* Food = 5 By far the best seafood chowder I've ever had in my life. UX = 5 the view is absolutely stunning and the bar feels homey yet modern. Service = 5 Service was by far the best. The wait staff was efficient and friendly and the bar tender bought my lady a drink for her birthday. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Visiting Gibsons for the week and a friend came out to visit me for lunch. A local friend suggested we try Gramma's. It was a little tough to access for my friend who walks with a cane - stairs up to the door then another flight down upon entry - but we walked slowly and made it in one piece. Our waiter was lovely and helpful - I asked for her recommendations but I chose to go for the cod and chips which were on special as it was Monday. Michael ordered the quinoa salad and added salmon. I tried his salmon and it was really tasty and not at all dry. My fish and chips were great - super greasy which made me happy! I had asked for extra crispy and it was all done to perfection! Great views and even though it was quiet chilly outside we stayed toasty on the enclosed deck due to a space heater. Walked in the bar afterwards and if I lived locally I would love to hang out here - warm and comfortable and welcoming!

Dive bar right on the water at Gibsons Landing. Average service with average food you'd expect at an establishment like this. Had the fish and chips and a soda. Fish was fresh and fries were a bit soggy but tasty. Can't beat the view! Fireplace table in the middle of the place, sports bar with TV's and the general feel of where the regulars hang out. Parking on the street.

Had their brewed Stout Beer here and it was very refreshing. (yes they are famous for their craft beer according to the tour guide). By the way, I am someone who doesn't drink but I actually liked it. It wasn't like crazy strong with that crazy bitter beer taste. It was refreshing and would make an awesome drink on a hot day. I heard how Gramma's pub came about was that the owner (two sons, one was a judge or lawyer and as well one of the son was the mayor at Gibson at one point) wanted his own brewery and bought the pub and because his mom likes to drink so they named it Gramma's pub. A good story behind it. This place has a few outdoor seating. so you can feel relax looking out into the water. THere are two floors. You can enter from the bottom or basement (how you call it) or you can enter from the parking lot and eat inside. But their patio area is only available downstairs.

It's been around for ages, but recent changes by management and a new executive chef have really improved the place. With it's beautiful view of Keat's Island, the food is better than you would expect. Sure the place could use a decor redo, but who cares, this a pub not fine dining. During the summer they have amazing AYCE seafood and BBQ buffets. Come during spot prawn season in the summer. You'll get all the prawns, clams, oysters you want all for I think 18 bux!

You're regular type of sports bar. It's got acceptable service and a fair selection of beers. Fairly busy on a Thursday night. Their sports selection is primarily hockey so if you don't like hockey, I'd suggest another sports bar. Ambiance is good with quiet chatter all around. Nice fire place table in the centre which adds to the decor.

Good for a beer and a nice view but has awful food (note to kitchen: sweet chilli is not harissa) and pretty poor service.

A tad disappointed, the bartender was quick to cheer me up with a one (with baileys and kahlua of course). The presentation and taste were amazing. I'll be dreaming about it on cold days. We had a few other drinks and all were exceptional. The staff was very attentive ensuring we had snacks, waters, and were happy with our drinks. We will definitely make this an annual stop when coming to Whistler. Highly recommend.

Starting with the buffet, it was vast with varieties of breads, live omelet counter, a chocolate fountain (every kid's AND adult's dream breakfast item!), fruits, roasted veggies, pancakes, salad bar, hummus, even dumplings! mini burritos, the quintessential sausage, eggs, pastries etc. The spinach feta danish and the mini burrito really stood out The quantity was awesome, taste was good too although I would not say top notch. Coming to the skillet breakfast in lieu of the buffet contained, eggs, potatoes, beautifully buttered and toasted sourdough, tomato, hashbrown, avocado, chicken sausage, chocolate croissant, latte, all of which was awesome with the exception of the sausage which was average. The quantity of the food was not a lot since we were hungry within hours whereas the buffet food was so much that we did not need to eat till dinner! The service was top notch, great ambience with the mountain view, a fireplace, pretty seating.

We had a blast as the big restaurant with all its amenities was all ours. 1. The seating is huge with two floors. Lounges , dinning tables and what not. 2. Oak is part of the JRG fam, which i find hit or miss. I'm a big fan of Livelyhood in port moody (i think they have a great chef cuz the food is usually pretty good). I went to celebrate my nephews 8th birthday there (he said his reasoning was cuz they had good breakfast, and he could watch the hockey game). It was during happy hour so there are some cheaper options. I decided to get 1 corn dog ($4), and the pretzel ($6). When they server came with the food she was like "they accidentally made you 3 corn dog". well hey i'm not complaining! The pretzel arrived and looked ROUGH. i could tell it was going to be awful, i had a few bites and was not having it, it was dry, no salt or seasoning and the dip only worked for the corn dogs. I really enjoyed the corn dogs, they were fresh and tasty! I ended up letting the server know i was not happy with the pretzel and that it was dry and very bland. I usually have decent experiences here, the service is good, nice layout and the food is decent, but this pretzel was rough. She was really nice about my feedback and when my bill came, it was only $4. Thankfully she had taken the pretzel off my bill and was super super nice about it. Shoutout to Breanne! Maybe it's time to switch up the pretzel recipe but all in all, oak is a decent place if you're looking for pub food in langley. I prefer it over townhall for some reason.
