Great restaurant in a great hotel! Loved the buffet that they offer to their guests everyday. Although we were a little unlucky to have hit the closures for one day but we got a good compensation in the form of skillet breakfast. Starting with the buffet, it was vast with varieties of breads, live omelet counter, a chocolate fountain (every kid's AND adult's dream breakfast item!), fruits, roasted veggies, pancakes, salad bar, hummus, even dumplings! mini burritos, the quintessential sausage, eggs, pastries etc. The spinach feta danish and the mini burrito really stood out The quantity was awesome, taste was good too although I would not say top notch. Coming to the skillet breakfast in lieu of the buffet contained, eggs, potatoes, beautifully buttered and toasted sourdough, tomato, hashbrown, avocado, chicken sausage, chocolate croissant, latte, all of which was awesome with the exception of the sausage which was average. The quantity of the food was not a lot since we were hungry within hours whereas the buffet food was so much that we did not need to eat till dinner! This place is top notch and perfect for a date night. We came specifically for the hot chocolate, but sadly the little hot cocoa hut that was outside on the patio was closed. A tad disappointed, the bartender was quick to cheer me up with a one (with baileys and kahlua of course). The presentation and taste were amazing. I'll be dreaming about it on cold days. We had a few other drinks and all were exceptional. The staff was very attentive ensuring we had snacks, waters, and were happy with our drinks. This is one of the restaurants located in Four Seasons Whistler. We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had breakfast here each morning, since it was included with our stay - but they also serve lunch and dinner. We had the option of doing the breakfast buffet or ordering a la carte. I did the buffet twice, and a la carte once. My husband did the buffet all three times, so it was nice that not everyone has to do the buffet if they don't want to. For the breakfast buffet, they have a good variety of offerings. For the most part, it's the same day to day, but a few items rotate. They have an omelet station, hot foods like sausage, bacon, loaded hashbrowns, and the fluffiest scrambled eggs ever. There's also a section with different types of salmon (candied, smoked, cured), and your breakfast basics like cereal, oatmeal, muffins, toast, juices etc. When you're ready for dessert (yes, desserts at breakfast!), there is an entire display of sweets. One day, they even had a crookie (cookie + croissant), which was surprisingly good. There's a cappuccino/latte machine in the back you can use if you're getting the buffet. But if you order coffee, it'll cost you. I ordered a decaf iced coffee one day, and it came out to $10. On another day, I decided to order food a la carte and I ordered the lobster hash. I forgot to tell them I needed a cooked egg yolk due to my pregnancy and they remade it. The dish was good but it was tiny, and there wasn't a lot of lobster. If you want to fill up, you're better off doing the buffet, otherwise you will probably still be hungry afterwards ordering a la carte. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is nice for the morning air, but you'll also have some black crows to keep you company. Overall, it was a wonderful experience having breakfast here - but if it wasn't included in our stay, we probably would have just grabbed breakfast in town due to the price. But it's a nice splurge if you want to have a relaxing morning. read more

We had an amazing breakfast at the Four Seasons Whistler Tavern. The food was absolutely excellent--fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive. Our server, Simon, was probably the most interesting person we've ever met. He was warm, engaging, and made the entire experience memorable. We genuinely hope to see him again on future travels. Great service. Relaxed but very nice ambience - cozy and casual, but upscale and luxurious feeling. And some large screen tvs for those who want to watch sports. It's a ski town so they won't look down if you walk in your ski clothes for lunch For food: Duck poutine: the duck and gravy were phenomenal; the sunnyside egg was so good. Fries and cheese were good. But I think I like my poutine a little more street food flavored. Ribeye taco: I don't even know what hit me because it was so good. Combination of the onions and some hot/chili sauce or something. Perfectly medium rare steak. Tortilla heated lightly but so good. PERFECT. Butter chicken: wow this was surprisingly so amazing I could eat so much more. Paratha was perfect. This dish is a must come back for for me. (oh, the rice was awful - it was worse than hard dry Uncle Ben's rice. But I can overlook that, but just a warning if you're looking for perfectly cooked Basmati rice, this isn't it) Shortrib: so tender and the polenta was so nice and creamy. It was spoon-tender (I couldn't find a clean fork so I just put a spoon in it and the meat just came off so easily. yum) Bison chili: good chili. But nothing overly special. It's a very well balanced and cooked chili but it's not like the out of the world other dishes. oh and the old fashion was PERFECT. and it was a ton of it too. And the ice was perfectly clear with a nice stamp/design on it. Just walked in but I think they take reservations. It is expensive, seemingly very expensive. But you get what you pay for. Impeccable friendly service, fresh and high quality food etc. But considering everything in any village is so expensive, I think it's worth a splurge here. It's a WALK from Whistler Village (once you get to the Blackcomb gondola, you have to keep walking past the Fairmont, then all the way past their front circle down the stairs, then all the way through the Hilton path, then continue down and keep walking...). But they have a free shuttle that runs from the Sundial lodge direct to the Four Seasons front door. Oh and shhh, there's a hot chocolate stand in the hallway between the restaurant walking towards the main staircase and it was some tasty hot chocolate with marshmallows and chocolate shards. read more

Out of convenience we decided to grab some quick bites at Braidwood...not too sure what the raves was all about...our experience was meh at best...nothing really to write home... hubby ordered the fish and chips, and took like 10min to get the missing tartar sauce...maybe they don't use tartar sauce in BC? Fish was a bit fishy as well...Kiddo's grilled chicken is super dry that no amount of ketchup or mayo could do a trick :/ My burrata salad was ok..had better and creamier one elsewhere... The drinks(fire and ice cocktail program?!) seems to be more gimmicky than anything...they burned a piece of paper next to the drink, other than for the show, I am not too sure what that would do to enhance the drink? I was excited to try Braidwood Tavern. I left very disappointed. The food was pricey but good. The service was disappointing. They did not bring my son's food at the same time as the rest of the meals. Once they noticed he did not have his food, this took at least 5 minutes, they let us know it would be coming and we proceeded to start eating when it became clear the other meals would be cold by the time his came. His food came out after the entire table had finished eating. They then cleared all the plates but his. He felt rushed and uncomfortable. The kicker is no one even said sorry or offered to comp any part of our bill. Mistakes happen but they did not even acknowledge they messed up. Very disappointing. read more

Came in here pretty late at night with our two kids after a day of traveling, and it was perfect. The staff was super friendly. We got a nice booth with some colorable kids menus and crayons. The kids grilled cheeses were triple deckers which was interesting, luckily my kids didn't mind. I had the French Onion soup and it hit the spot. It's in a resort which we were a little anxious about, but it was no problem to pop in as a guest to dine. Good food and good people makes for a great experience. Ok people, unpopular opinion but our meal at Braidwood was by far the most expensive and the least good. Best parts: the drinks and the desserts Worst parts: the actual food As a vegan, I was extremely excited to see they had a full separate vegan menu online. However, they don't advertise this in store, and though some items are marked vegan on the normal menu, it doesn't have everything available listed. Make sure to ask for the vegan menu! I ordered the cauliflower and jalapeño hummus. Turns out it was just hummus topped with some pickled veg (like cauliflower) and jalapeño slices. They were not mixed in. There was nothing impressive about this dish, I could've put it together at home. I also ordered the vegan corn and cheese empanadas. They came with a side of chimichurri, and other than being extremely hot and fresh, were pretty tasteless, even with the sauce. A vegetarian in our group got the Green cracker pizza, which we were warned was very different from a regular crust and given the option to get a normal crust instead of the lavash cracker. We opted for the cracker crust, as that's how the menu offered it, so it should be good. It was not. The melted cheese along the edges was in straight lines, so we could tel they just put slices of cheese on some crackers and melted them. The whole thing was incredibly dry and didn't taste like much. For dessert, we got the vegan potato donuts that came with a side of jam and vegan caramel. These were delicious. The drinks were also very impressive and tasty BUT be aware that everything on their "around the world" hot chocolate menu HAS DAIRY IN IT. Even when they all this soy milk or coconut whip cream, all the chocolate has dairy in it so nothing is actually vegan. I'd save your money and get better food for cheaper at basically anywhere else in Whistler. read more

We ate here countless times on our stay and everything we had was delicious. Service was outstanding. Some of my favorites include the empanadas and the fish and chips, both of which were probably the best I've ever had. I also tried the tomato soup and onion soup, both delicious and comforting on snowy days. Of the two the onion soup is better though! I also tried the mussels (very fresh and good flavor), ceviche (again very fresh fish) and the truffle fries (SUPER truffly which I loved!) They also have a great wine, beer and cocktail list. Every beer and cocktail I tried was exceptional. This was one of the best restaurants we tried in Whistler. If you are lucky to have the 4 course fixed price you will be stuffed and a lot of people were taking the dessert to go. The deserts are amazing. Get the Beef cheeks or the Halibut. We weren't staying at the Four Seasons so we valet parked. An employee said take the ticket in and give the waitress the ticket and they'd validate our parking. We did and they said turn it in at the front desk, front desk acted like it was a strange request and said tell Omar it's free. When we got to the stand the parking attendant didn't believe us and asked who told us to tell Omar and said this was a weird request. Waitress came ask how we plan to pay and inform us their credit card system in the 4 season hotel not working. They expect us to pay by cash in this digital world!!!! I asked them how ppl pay for their rooms???!!! They directed me to an ATM machine in the hotel to withdraw cash. So next time ask if they take cc before sitting down. We have been here a few times last year and loved it. But this year being asked to spend $50-$66 for a main while sitting on bar stools and having to share your table is a bit much. Our gnocchi was bland as well was the risotto, I'm not sure where happened but it really feels like a change of guard in the management. This long weekend in Whistler was BUSY and packed full of local travellers enjoying their time away from the city. We had a fantastic time in the Whistler village but on our last day it was really nice to enjoy a lovely lunch in the quieter side of the mountains. It was sooo peaceful at Braidwood Tavern in their beautiful outdoor seating area. There was a mini waterfall/fountain, a dog house area for the puppers and the food is definitely worth the visit! We ordered the No Jacket Required Crab Bisque + Steak & Fries + 48 Hour Smoked Brisket Tartine. The crab bisque had a bold crab flavour and I really enjoyed the pieces and flavour of the squash added to the bisque. The steak was cooked sooo perfectly and was very tender! And the smoked brisket tartine just makes you screams for more! And they also give you spiced popcorn and kettle chips to start off your meal! Each dish just tantalizes your taste buds to a whole new level and really illustrates the standards of the restaurant's flavour profile and chefs' talent and effort! I have never received such poor service from a waiter, he was rude and rushed us the whole way through dinner. There was no input from the waiter re menu recommendations or drink choice. We found this amazing casual, modern/woodsy tavern at The Four Seasons and loved it. Not only was the service by the bartenders, waiter/ waitresses exceptional (we went two nights in a row) and engaging but the food was also superb. The Chile Burger with Yam fries were so tasty, Duck Poutine with fried egg, one of the best and the Apple Berry Bruce dessert was one my favorites especially with the spruce tip ice cream. The wonderful waitress made us her personal drink in which we named Pina Fuego..lol. Pineapple juice with an incredible liquor called Anchos Reyes. Too die for. Also, the Gear Jammer with the Anchos Reyes is also a top notch drink and the bartender from the night before was so nice to give us a sample. Great atmosphere with the modern wood decor and nostalgic 80's and 90's music in the background which was not too loud at all. It's nice that there is a bar/restaurant you can get into right away without a reservation on a Friday night during ski season. (We were pretty early, just after 6PM - there was a lineup by the time we left) The ambience is great, and we stopped for s'mores on the way in. More pluses? The cocktails are inventive and fun (I had the Green Mile with a lemongrass smoke bubble) and the service was friendly and responsive. They also serve wine by the glass at tableside so you can taste before they pour. But the food. Expensive and rather odd. I had the duck poutine which was pretty bland, luckily it had jalapenos or it would have had even less flavor. My husband got the pizza which was on a cracker rather than a normal crust, which the server did describe fully before letting him order it. Report overall was "fine" but when a server has to make sure you know what you're getting it's a sign they get complaints. We ended the meal by sharing the donuts, which looked great but were too crunchy/hard and also bland. The sauces were all you could taste No fluffy oily donut goodness. Overall we would not return except possibly for drinks. read more
