We came here for breakfast on our second day in Whistler, and my friend and I had a pleasant experience overall! The back main dining area was incredibly loud, but luckily we snagged a spot near the bar, which was quieter. I appreciated that they informed us in advance about the 35-minute food wait time--it's always nice to have realistic expectations. I ordered the avocado toast and added smoked salmon. The smoked salmon portion was tiny--maybe 1 ounce--and it cost an extra $5 or $8, which felt overpriced. The salad that came with it was tasty and had a unique garlicky flavor, which I enjoyed. Their breakfast potatoes were also delicious! The avocado toast itself was just okay. Everything was served separately on the plate, which made it harder to eat and less flavorful compared to the crepe place in the village, where everything is layered on the toast. It might have been better if it came pre-assembled, given you're already using a fork and knife. At $30 CAD ($21 USD), the avocado toast felt a bit steep for what you get, but it was still a decent experience. Love eating here. Generally always busy, but Sunday brunch always is. Located conveniently in the north side of the village. Service was pleasant and accommodating. Split a couple of item between two of us. The Salmon Bene is well, totally delicious. Eat slowly to cherish every bite. The Hippie mix with granola, berries and yogurt waa a nice finish to the meal. I went to the washroom and if the kitchen looks anything like the washroom, it should be shut down. It's ironic the review QR was in the bathroom. Awesome place and everybody loved it. They have plenty of seating especially outdoors. The only problem is that they don't have regular menus and when we first got there the menu link at our table was broken. Other links worked though. I got the grizzly Benedict. Beautifully done eggs with just enough hollandaise flavour. The salmon was great. The potatoes - wow the flavour is superb. Really excellent and well done. I would definitely get it again. We came here for brunch. The place is a bit hidden, look for Bills and you will see it. The menu is simple, quite limited in variety. Basically bowls and bennies. I decided on the grizzly Benedict which is smoked salmon. Nothing fancy but everything is well executed. Crispy home fries. Perfectly poached eggs with runny yolk over smoked salmon. The traditional is equally good. Generous portion of the bacon and sausage. None of those skinny anemic looking sausage or bacon. The over-easy eggs are nicely done. Service was pretty good with staff checking on us often and topping up coffee without being asked. There is a bar area and the main dining hall. Both are equally nice. Relaxed tavern/casual restaurant tucked away in Whistler Village (I do really mean tucked away, Google Maps led us astray (to some random hotel) and when we started to navigate elsewhere we miraculously saw a sign for it. Serves straightforward bar eats and American food but not as busy as the more popular spots closer to the gondola. Sports on TV, expansive drink selection, Stonesedge Kitchen is a light- and wood-filled spot that's solid for brunch or lunch. We came here at around 2:15 on a Thursday after skiing for lunch. There were only a few other patrons there, but perhaps this is because it's a headache to find, or because it's a bit further from the main area. We didn't get too creative with our orders -- I got the OG Salad (Mixed greens, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese , dried cranberry, raspberry vinaigrette & pumpkin seeds + chicken breast) and my partner got a BLT with fries. Stonesedge was a unanimous choice after viewing their menu and reviews online. We were sat pretty quickly and then waited for attention. Once we were finally asked for a drink order we were pointed to the QR code for the menu. The menu was nothing like online. Burgers apps and salads only. They apparently renovated and rebranded but haven't changed their online info. Service was slow and slightly rude. Our waitress made us feel like it was an imposition to get us a side of ketchup. For the prices we were charged, we expected a higher level of service. Wagu burger was tasty but the bun was burnt. Fries were well cooked and crispy. One positive if you ever visit a ski town is that the bathroom was in the same floor and clean. Not worth the money compared to other restaurant choices in town. read more

Came here on sunday night. Place was almost empty, which was surprising since the rest of the village was packed. We were seated right away on the patio. Ordered half dozen oysters, the pork belly, and crostini as appetizers. The oysters were really good and fresh! The pork was delicious!! Would skip the crostini next time. For mains, we got the Cesar salad with chicken, burger, and salmon with risotto. They forgot the chicken on the salad and brought it out later. Basic Cesar, no complaints. The risotto was slightly undercooked, but the salmon skin was so crispy I devoured the dish! The burger and fries were good too. The music was really good and we had a great server! The server was extremely responsive to the ladies orders for expensive liquor shots, however the cheaper orders for beer were forgotten. After waiting thru appetizers and placing our dinner order, I behaved inapproately by placing the pint glass that had been empty for 30 minutes on the top of my head. This was my second beer, so I certainly wasn't intoxicated (at least by alcohol, drugs or the atmosphere and ambiance). Our server, Francesca A. took offence and "cut me off." I want to take a moment and say that Stonesedge has the BEST Caesar in Whistler (trust me, I have tried them all). My boyfriend also raves about their expresso martinis. We really enjoyed the depth of flavour in their bacon caesar cocktail, easily one of the best caesars I've had in a while and was accompanied with a nice thick cut piece of perfectly cooked bacon. For food, we ordered the stone's benny and vegan traditional breakfast. The short rib in the benny fell apart perfectly and had great flavour but the hollandaise missed the mark on any notes of citrus. I found it a little bland and lacking in salt. The traditional vegan breakfast was just OK; the bratwurst sausage fell short of what you'd normally expect for the Beyond brand in terms of flavour and juiciness. The plant-based egg was similarly lacking any flavour. I did appreciate the different varieties of potatoes they included with our dishes; a medley of purple, gold and sweet potatoes/yams. I'd definitely be back for drinks and would consider trying them out again for a meal as there's a good chance it was just a slightly off day for the kitchen. read more

Yikes, the service was super slow, they should offer free bread or something if it's going to be this slow. Everyone at the restaurant was just waiting for food, any food. The male restaurant manager seated us just near the kitchen and restrooms and when I asked if we could be moved to another table they said it was reserved, but then the next couple after us was seated near us and they also requested to be moved and they were moved to the table that I had requested. That should have been my first sign to leave. The server did her best but you could tell she was also frustrated about how long the kitchen was taking. After going on several hikes throughout Whistler, I was ready for a hearty meal. This place was recommended to us by a buddy of ours. It's not bougie at all. Down to earth. They had live music!!! Super friendly. Always bringing us extra water before we ran out. Food came out quickly. No problems there. Food was really good too!! We ordered several appetizers, including: 1. Truffle fries. Cooked well. Crispy yet soft inside. Great flavors. Multiple sauces to dip them in. If you don't get a burger which can come eith a side of truffle fried, I'd highly recommend ordering a side of it. 2. Chicken liver pate. Smooth and thick. Goes great with the crustini. They give you a lot of pate which is great because it requires gobs of spreaded pate to really taste the chicken liver. 3. Crispy chicken wings. They really are crispy!!. You can have the sauce on the wings or on the side. I recommend on the side so it doesn't compromise the crunchiness of the wings. Soft, tender, juicy white meat inside. They were quite good!!! Entree I ordered was the red wine braised short rib. It comes topped with vegetable root chips, foe that nice added crunch. Drizzled with cabernet jue. Somewhat thick but still nice and saucy. The short rib was just incredible!!! It shreds apart with just the fork. Soft and tender. Full of flavors. My only flaw was the large peice of brocolinni sitting there. They could've done something a little bit more to jazz it up. But there are no faults I could find with this place. Bathroom is like down the hallway, thru multiple doors. Nasty leaky men's bathroom, but there is a sign saying that it's no longer part of the restaurant, so can't knock them for that. Food was great. Atmosphere is lively, but also appropriate for people of all ages, from kids to their grandparents. Good selection of liquor, from wines to mixed drinks. I'll start out by saying that this plac pretty difficult to find. We were staying in Creekside and found it on Yelp and we followed our map there. It brought us to a hotel but there was no indication that the restaurant was inside. After driving around for a bit, we decided to just go into the hotel to ask. Sure enough, the concierge sent us upstairs through what felt like a secret passage into the back entrance of the restaurant. Felt kinda like being in a speakeasy... so a little fun I guess? We were greeted by a very sweet hostess who turned out to be our waitress. She was attentive through the whole evening and I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a shoutout. She let us know right away that there would be live music and if we needed to move due to noise. Unfortunately, the food isn't much to write about. I had the short ribs. They were pretty good. That was about the best thing on the menu. My wife had the most over cooked salmon I have ever tasted and the burger my kids got was... not what you'd expect from a burger at that price point. There are lots of nice places in Whistler with really good food. This is a nice place m, but the food needs some work. read more

I also like that they're set back a little from the rest of the hubbub. Service was great -- friendly, attentive, and helpful with menus when our phones were finicky about QR codes. Drinks were decent, but $18 for a well gin martini is a little steep, though pricing was in line with their specialty cocktails. The menu isn't very large, which is fine, and has a couple vegetarian options. I ordered the falafel burger with fries ($22). It was a pretty sad sandwich. Very dry with the only condiment being a small dollop of lemon dill aioli. It did the trick, but I would not order this again. I think the other veg option was a tofu stir fry. I've been on a hunt for a smoked salmon bennie for a while and Stonesedge definitely has one delicious salmon Bennie. What makes it this salmon bennie delicious is that they use lox smoked salmon versus the traditional smoked salmon. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned just right. Subpar food. Okaish service. They take your credit card number for reservations with the condition that a no show will be charged as $25 per person if you don't show up. That's bizarre and very off putting. I understand this is a tourist place and holding up table for large party is a hassle in case of no show but $25 per person???? That's just outrageous.
