We had great time here last night. We had Jimmy bar tender as our server . We had him make us a drink , he was'nt familiar with . He made it to perfection! !! Great service all round . We asked about size of the food. He said the portion sizes are big . We split it. Good call. When we went later in the evening the were not crowded. Nice decor.

We made a reservation for 18 people for 12:30pm for lunch today over a month in advance. We showed up on time and had one server between our 3 tables. Restaurant was only about 25% full but only two cooks were seen in the kitchen, one host, one bar tender, and three servers. Service was nice but extremely slow - we had to ask our server twice for water, an extra glass, and extra set of cutlery. It took around 75+ minutes from when we placed our orders for our food to arrive and as we wanted to get back to Vancouver on by 5pm, some of my colleagues ended up getting dessert packed to go because the meal was taking too long. Standard decent service and great food and drinks but took really long for food and drinks, even with a reservation.

Our bartender/server was on point! Although there was music playing on the background, we were able to have a good conversation while sipping our drinks, and having dinner. So... it was our last night in town and we made the BEST choice. I ordered ribs, potato salad and a scrumptious salad. John, my hubs, ordered the sirloin steak and was pleased! Oh... and crème brûlée Hoping we'll be back next year!

Such a great meal and overall experience here after hiking and exploring Whistler all day being famished!! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the steak and frites, the chicken wings, the chicken alfredo pasta, and truffle fries. Our plates were wiped clean! Definitely order a drink and treat yourself. The strawberry guava slush was so yummy (and strong!). Also very pretty the way they garnish it. Service was great as well! I noticed that all the waitresses are so so gorgeous and sweet!! My husband says it's an Earls thing lol.

Have been to Earl's in Whistler many times. They manage crowds very well, and the food is consistently good, particularly with teens and adults with tastes all over the board. It's busy and during peak hours gets LOUD but it's a fun atmosphere and year round it's a consistently great place to go. Pro tip: I send my teens down to get us on the wait list on super busy nights, and then head over when it's close to our reservation time.

Last year we had Earl's as take-out because of COVID. This year it was nice to be out in-person. The music was a bit loud so chatting was a bit challenging but again it was après-ski time. Our reservation was at 4:30pm, perfect and just in time to order from the happy hour menu (order be. I spied a Mai tai on the cocktail list and asked our server whether he thought it was good. I had tasted an amazing mai tai in Maui a few months ago and even on the island, not all mai tais were equal. I was pleasantly surprised that this one was comparable to the one I was reminiscing. I had the tofu tacos and loved the spicy mayo that went with it. The truffle fries were delicious. There wasn't a kids menu and so we ordered the chicken kung pao noodles without the spice for the kids. Surprisingly, it was well-done for a non-Chinese restaurant.

Love the atmosphere and service was great. We sat outside on the patio area and it was a little cool. The only annoying thing about sitting outside was the bee. It was flying around our table toward the end of our meal. We ordered Bigger Better Burger, Cajun Chicken Cheddar Sandwich, Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, Chicken Hunan Kung Pao and a small Earls Famous Clam Chowder. Everything was surprising tasty. The clam chowder was my favorite. It was different from what I normally get. Earls Famous Clam Chowder had cream, tomatoes, bacon, clams, and parsley. The tomatoes and bacon worked well with the chowder. It gave it a unique flavor. There was a good amount of clams also. Chicken Huan Kung Pao came with noodles. It has a good kick and quite tasty. My ahi tuna poke was ok. There was too much rice and not enough tuna. Overall a good meal.

3.6 stars for good service and a fun time. Came on a weeknight without reservation and had a 2 hour wait. Luckily, we chose to sit at the bar instead and that cut the wait time down to about 20 minutes. Service was friendly and timely but a tad slow. 1. Wings - Came with hot sauce instead of buffalo sauce. The hot sauce had a good spice to it and slowed me down to about 3-4 wings at a time. 2. Chicken tenders - Very good here, looks a bit burned on the outside but it is juicy and hot on the inside. 3. Watermelon slush drink - Tastes more like a candy drink than one with alcohol in it. Overall, I wouldn't wait 2 hours to eat here at Whistler but if you have reservations or have a shorter wait, the food is good enough.

The food, the service, the ambience is great here. The seafood platter is perfect for the seafood lovers like me. The lemon sauce that accompanied the oysters is unique, and a great pairing. Also ordered the truffle tortellini which is exquisite, so rich and creamy and a great portion. We ordered the clam chowder which was also yummy, quite different in the sense that it was light though not as creamy like the clam chowder we have back in California. Great service all around us. I would definitely come back again.

We tried a variety of dishes across both visits, and every single one was fantastic. The balance of flavors and the way different cultures are blended together is seriously impressive. Some standout dishes: the truffle ceviche was incredible, and the black tiger prawn causa had a sauce that was absolutely fantastic. The tallarín de marisco is a must-order, we loved it so much we ordered it twice. We also had the salmon anticucho and Colombian arepa, and everything was fire. Everything tasted fresh, well thought out, and perfectly executed. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. If you're visiting Whistler, Balam is a must-visit. We opted for family-style dining on the outdoor patio, which set the tone perfectly--great ambiance, relaxed energy, and ideal for sharing plates and good conversation. Tatiana, our server, was fantastic--pleasant, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Food came out quickly, which was impressive given the variety we ordered. We went all in on the menu: * Truffle ceviche * Scallop ceviche * Black tiger prawn causa * Amazonian fish with prawns * Bistek a la Parilla * Yuca fries Everything was fresh, well-presented, and packed with flavor. The ceviches stood out, and the Amazonian fish dish was a highlight. It's definitely on the pricier side--more than I'd typically go for--but when you're on vacation with good friends, it's one of those "worth it" experiences. Great food, great service, and a setting that makes you want to linger a little longer.

The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.
