When you walk in you're promptly greeted by the hosts. We came mid week and tried their spring menu which was 4 courses for 33 before tax and tip. The server was prompt and attentive with a sincere, friendly demeanour. They were out of the tomato soup so we got the chowder and some chips and salsa (not pictured). Both were so delicious. The chips were ultra thick and reminded me of eating bugles as a kid, but way higher class. The salmon and chicken were way larger portions than we had expect , and done to perfection. Chicken is a little spicy but this is the type of service and cooking I liiiiive for! If you've ever had any other Earls scratch that out of your mind because when you come here, this is literally the place to be. Sticky toffee pudding also wonderful. It's not like a pudding more like a mini chocolate cake with toffee, vanilla ice cream and this almond florentine style cookie. We walked in and see if we could make reservations at this restaurant but were told that there was a patio seating available. It was a rather cold April evening, so we asked if there were heaters. We were told that the heaters would be above our seats. We quickly accepted and were taken to our table. It was quite nice because the heather gave off enough heat for it to be enjoyable to sit outside. My friend ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with the peppercorn sauce. I ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with truffle butter. Both steaks came out in exceptional time. The service was quite amazing. My only thing was both steaks were overcooked. Restaurant was only about 25% full but only two cooks were seen in the kitchen, one host, one bar tender, and three servers. Service was nice but extremely slow - we had to ask our server twice for water, an extra glass, and extra set of cutlery. It took around 75+ minutes from when we placed our orders for our food to arrive and as we wanted to get back to Vancouver on by 5pm, some of my colleagues ended up getting dessert packed to go because the meal was taking too long. Such a great meal and overall experience here after hiking and exploring Whistler all day being famished!! The food was absolutely delicious. Our reservation was at 4:30pm, perfect and just in time to order from the happy hour menu (order be. I spied a Mai tai on the cocktail list and asked our server whether he thought it was good. I had tasted an amazing mai tai in Maui a few months ago and even on the island, not all mai tais were equal. I was pleasantly surprised that this one was comparable to the one I was reminiscing. I had the tofu tacos and loved the spicy mayo that went with it. The truffle fries were delicious. I was a bit hesitant about going here after reading some of the reviews but I'm so glad we did! First, yes it's overpriced (but many places in Whistler are). But the atmosphere on the patio was great - this is a weird thing to focus on but my husband and I kept talking about how great the outdoor seating was - outdoor tables and chairs always feel uncomfortable but these were cushy and the table was spacious and easy to eat on. Ok, enough about the chairs... Our server was great - super friendly and easy going but still very competent and professional. And our food was really solid. We all got different things - burgers, Asian noodle salad, etc - and they all were surprisingly good. Not worth the price we paid of course but at least when prices are racheted up in tourist areas, it goes down a little easier if you enjoy your experience and we did just that. read more

Nice lively bar vibe and delicious food. It's an eclectic mix menu with Chicken Biriyani, Sushi and Steaks but everyone enjoyed it. We started with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps which were spicy, tasty and a nice portion. Then, it was steaks all around for my crew - Canadian Ribeye and Sirloin. One steak was tataki style with sushi (Steak and Sushi combo) but sadly the sushi was not dairy-free (strange) but we were glad they checked. Fries were tasty dipped in the sauce that accompanied the steak. Cocktails were also delicious and would recommend the Grape Crush Vodka Soda. We were celebrating a birthday and they wrote us a personal note that was waiting for us on the table. Nice touch. Excellent service overall. Worst chicken and waffles I've ever had! We came for brunch on a family trip to Whistler, and were in a group of about 12 people. Earl's is located in the village, which is nice since it's so close to everything and easy to access. We got a table relatively quickly, probably since we came early around 10am. The food choices are very basic, very American/western - I think it's the same choices as is at the Earl's in Bellevue, WA. Three of us ordered the chicken and waffles, and were all so excited for it, because how can you possibly mess up waffles and chicken? Well, let me tell you how: First of all, we each got 3 wedges of waffle - when clearly there should be 4 because it was in that shape (what happened to our last piece?) - and 3 small chicken tender sizes of chicken. Secondly, all three of our waffles came out hard, with burnt areas around the edges and that made it really hard to eat and hardly enjoyable. Thirdly, the chicken was all just fried, crispy skin/coating - there was barely any meat at all! Even in places I was sure there would be some meat I could finally enjoy, I would bite into and find just crispy coating. I barely ate any of it at all. By the time I was done eating, I had about half of what I had received still on my plate. The only thing I enjoyed at all was honestly the syrup. I'm not coming back here at all and wouldn't recommend it - especially not for chicken and waffles!!! read more
