When you walk in you're promptly greeted by the hosts. We came mid week and tried their spring menu which was 4 courses for 33 before tax and tip. The server was prompt and attentive with a sincere, friendly demeanour. They were out of the tomato soup so we got the chowder and some chips and salsa (not pictured). Both were so delicious. The chips were ultra thick and reminded me of eating bugles as a kid, but way higher class. The salmon and chicken were way larger portions than we had expect , and done to perfection. Chicken is a little spicy but this is the type of service and cooking I liiiiive for! If you've ever had any other Earls scratch that out of your mind because when you come here, this is literally the place to be. Sticky toffee pudding also wonderful. It's not like a pudding more like a mini chocolate cake with toffee, vanilla ice cream and this almond florentine style cookie. We walked in and see if we could make reservations at this restaurant but were told that there was a patio seating available. It was a rather cold April evening, so we asked if there were heaters. We were told that the heaters would be above our seats. We quickly accepted and were taken to our table. It was quite nice because the heather gave off enough heat for it to be enjoyable to sit outside. My friend ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with the peppercorn sauce. I ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with truffle butter. Both steaks came out in exceptional time. The service was quite amazing. My only thing was both steaks were overcooked. Earls normally great. But let me say this. The server was great. She did an amazing job. The hostess clearing off a table broke a glass. And it took her 15 mins trying to broom it up. She didn't know how to work a broom which isn't the problem but this girl was inebriated if you guys want to fight me on anything I'll post the video I'm trying to keep the peace by not making this girl get fired. But man this was garbage. She then started arguing with my girlfriend and saying the glass wasn't there. And made a face to the staff about it. Restaurant was only about 25% full but only two cooks were seen in the kitchen, one host, one bar tender, and three servers. Service was nice but extremely slow - we had to ask our server twice for water, an extra glass, and extra set of cutlery. It took around 75+ minutes from when we placed our orders for our food to arrive and as we wanted to get back to Vancouver on by 5pm, some of my colleagues ended up getting dessert packed to go because the meal was taking too long. On a busy Saturday afternoon in October at 2 o'clock, we had a quick 10 minute wait and got in They have a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. Both are very nice. Have been to Earl's in Whistler many times. They manage crowds very well, and the food is consistently good, particularly with teens and adults with tastes all over the board. It's busy and during peak hours gets LOUD but it's a fun atmosphere and year round it's a consistently great place to go. Such a great meal and overall experience here after hiking and exploring Whistler all day being famished!! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the steak and frites, the chicken wings, the chicken alfredo pasta, and truffle fries. Our plates were wiped clean! Definitely order a drink and treat yourself. Last year we had Earl's as take-out because of COVID. This year it was nice to be out in-person. The music was a bit loud so chatting was a bit challenging but again it was après-ski time. Our reservation was at 4:30pm, perfect and just in time to order from the happy hour menu (order be. I spied a Mai tai on the cocktail list and asked our server whether he thought it was good. I had tasted an amazing mai tai in Maui a few months ago and even on the island, not all mai tais were equal. I was pleasantly surprised that this one was comparable to the one I was reminiscing. I had the tofu tacos and loved the spicy mayo that went with it. The truffle fries were delicious. Luckily, we chose to sit at the bar instead and that cut the wait time down to about 20 minutes. Service was friendly and timely but a tad slow. 1. Wings - Came with hot sauce instead of buffalo sauce. The hot sauce had a good spice to it and slowed me down to about 3-4 wings at a time. 2. Chicken tenders - Very good here, looks a bit burned on the outside but it is juicy and hot on the inside. 3. Watermelon slush drink - Tastes more like a candy drink than one with alcohol in it. The burger was good but pretty pricey for what you get. I was a bit hesitant about going here after reading some of the reviews but I'm so glad we did! First, yes it's overpriced (but many places in Whistler are). But the atmosphere on the patio was great - this is a weird thing to focus on but my husband and I kept talking about how great the outdoor seating was - outdoor tables and chairs always feel uncomfortable but these were cushy and the table was spacious and easy to eat on. Ok, enough about the chairs... Our server was great - super friendly and easy going but still very competent and professional. And our food was really solid. We all got different things - burgers, Asian noodle salad, etc - and they all were surprisingly good. The service was a bit slow but one waitress to 6 tables wasn't the waitress's problem. I tried the plant based menu, the Vegan Crispy Tacos were fabulous. For a guy the potion would be a bit small, for me perfect...Asian twist, mango and a fried piece of tofu, sticky rice and a glaze of some sort. Amazing flavor combination. My son got fries done extra crispy. They came out so hot they burned our fingers which was amazing. We started with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps which were spicy, tasty and a nice portion. Then, it was steaks all around for my crew - Canadian Ribeye and Sirloin. One steak was tataki style with sushi (Steak and Sushi combo) but sadly the sushi was not dairy-free (strange) but we were glad they checked. Fries were tasty dipped in the sauce that accompanied the steak. Cocktails were also delicious and would recommend the Grape Crush Vodka Soda. I was staying in Pan Pacific Village Center hotel and ordered from this place for room dining. I ordered fries and Caesar salad, they both were pretty average tasting. We came here in November 20 21 and had a great time overall. Granted it's during Covid and before the snow, so the experience is different than probably what it would be now. The restaurant is very big with indoor and outdoor seating and the staff is very easy to talk to and has great service overall. The food and drinks that we had during happy hour menu were OK and nothing really that exciting which was a little disappointing considering we're at such a luxurious location. Hopefully the next time we come and visit we can try some different options and see what it's like when it's snowing outside. read more
