Overall it was 5/5. Food was great. Service was excellent. Restaurant has children friendly menu.

Breakfast OMG the queue in the morning is huge! We had a breakfast everyday at Wildflower and if you don't take buffet then it will take forever to get your food. We selected a la carte egg Benedicts and we waited 40 minutes for the food and our food came before coffee. Food is delicious by the way, but service was way off. Also waitress try to charge us for buffet even we took a la carte and our dishes was cheaper than flat buffet price. Dinner Maybe because this was our breakfast place we didn't felt any ambience for our 6th wedding anniversary. Also we noticed that we were way overdressed and people came very casually dressed. They didn't care for our wedding anniversary even we told hostess and waiter... I wish we chose other restaurant for our big dinner. My husband took lamb loin and it was pretty good. I chose seafood chowder was good, but lack of presentation( whatever green oil was on top looked messy). My elk tar tar was excellent and I think it was best dish lol. No desserts because everything looked very heavy and not appealing. I saw desserts on other peoples tables..

    Strawberry shortcake was delicious!

Great service and great food! This restaurant has the best dessert in Whistler compared to all the other high end restaurants. They provide so variety of desserts and have wonderful service.

every spring and fall, they offer a 3 course menu for a set price. in november 2024, it was 3 courses for $49. high quality food and artistic presentation, beautiful ambience, excellent service,..the experience has made me want to return!

We went to Wildflower and ordered off their special summer menu. It came with an appetizer, main dish which you can choose from, and a dessert. Really good value for price point. It is welcoming and warm inside, however it felt a little commercial in nature. Our server was really prompt and friendly and was quick to refill our glasses. We tried both the scallop and the beef tartar appitizer. Both came presented beautifully. The scallops were fresh and fragrent. Probably my favourite dish of the evening. Beef tartar was plentiful but rather bland in flavour. The only thing that would not order again. For mains, the salmon was perfectly cooked and the presentation was fantastic. The beef shortribs were tender and delicious. The meat fell away from the bone. Dessert was good. I chose the panna cotta was was rich and refreshing at the same time. My friend chose the chocolate offer and actually it was so amazing- and i don't even like chocolate Good night. Look for deals here. It was a verylovely meal.

The Wildflower was having a 3 course spring dining experience and we took advantage! Recommended to make reservations but we could have walked in right when they opened at 6 pm on Sunday. Wildflower is located within 10-15 min walk from the Whistler base as it is located in the Fairmont hotel at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. My appetizer was the crispy fried potato galette, entree was slow braised beef short rib, and dessert the chocolate sundae. The potato galette seemed similar to very thin potato slices like hash browns but was definitely more flavorful and upscale than what I described. The asparagus/vegetables made it refreshing and balanced well with the potatoes. The braised beef short rib was very tender and moist! I savored every bite and would recommend that as your entree choice! The dessert was massive! This huge cup contained a couple scoops of ice cream, some popcorn, brownie pieces, and caramel pearls. I couldn't finish it! Overall the dinner was great and would recommend you dine in here if you're wanting a nice dinner, especially if they are offering a 3 course menu for $49!

It was Canada Day long weekend and I did not book any dining reservations in advance. I was looking for a fine dining experience and this restaurant happened to have reservation spots available. I ended up booking this restaurant for dinner last minute. We were seated right away. Menus were dropped off. It happened that Sunday to Thursday offered a three course pricing menu. That was a pleasant surprise to eat at a discount. We ordered some drinks and a three course meal. Overall, food was beautifully presented and flavours were fantastic. Complimentary bread was provided. My meal started with a mocktail with their seedlip gimlet (seedlip, lime and lime cordial). It was sweet and refreshing. I chose oysters as my appetizer. It was fresh. Next was the lamb. I found the portion size large. Lamb was tender. The green beans were cooked to the perfect crispness. Lastly, we shared dessert. The bergamot posset tasted like a custard with apricot jelly and kumquats. It was a sweet dessert that was nicely presented. I also tried the dark chocolate mousse and I preferred that one more because I like the chocolate and cherry combination. Service was what I expected for typical fine dining. There were four people working on the floor. At times, the service pace felt a bit slow although our server did check on us during each course. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Sunday during COVID times. COVID precautions were still in place. Staff wore face masks. Hand sanitizer was available.

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner in August. The restaurant was beautiful with high ceilings and walls filled with wine. It was during covid so we had to get our temperatures checked at the front of the hotel. All the staff were wearing masks. We ordered appetizers and mains but honestly everything was big in portion size. The seafood chowder was heavenly but very creamy and rich. If you decide to split it, they charge you a $5 fee but you get more chowder. I had the special of the day (vegetarian risotto) but even the appetizer portion looked like a main portion (so much food!). For mains, we ordered the surf & turf (special of the day), the duck and a vegetarian gnocchi. My favourite was the duck - the breast was cooked perfectly and I liked how they stuffed all the confit leg into a croquette ball. The surf & turf was below expectations as the steak was just average (not a very good cut of meat). The gnocchi was really yummy as well but we were too full to finish it. For the birthday girl, the server helped us surprise her with a dessert sundae with a candle and "happy birthday" written in chocolate. We tried a variety of dishes across both visits, and every single one was fantastic. The balance of flavors and the way different cultures are blended together is seriously impressive. Some standout dishes: the truffle ceviche was incredible, and the black tiger prawn causa had a sauce that was absolutely fantastic. The tallarín de marisco is a must-order, we loved it so much we ordered it twice. We also had the salmon anticucho and Colombian arepa, and everything was fire. Everything tasted fresh, well thought out, and perfectly executed. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. If you're visiting Whistler, Balam is a must-visit. The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

It was a very disappointing experience. We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward…read moreto this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.

We ordered the following dishes: Country Game Terrine, Red Deer Venison, and Five Spice Duck. Everything was just okay. 2.5 star experience. The venison was my favorite but it didn't wow me, just cooked well with a decent portion size. The five spice duck would have been much better with a sauce to bring the ingredients together, overall the dish was just a lot of sweet, with the duck breast on the tougher side. Unfortunately we won't be back. I think this restaurant has been resting on its laurels for too long. For the price there are better options in Whistler.
