I beautiful restaurant situated on top of Blackcomb and offers food options other than cafeteria food. We didn't have a reservation but were able to walk right in for lunch on a Tuesday in April. I ordered the Christine's salad. All the veggies were fresh and crisp. However, the description said it's supposed to be grilled but they were more like blanched. I liked the variety of vegetables and the maple vinaigrette was refreshing with a subtle hint of sweetness. They have kids menu available with each option ranging between $20-25. My kids ordered the steelhead and it was a pretty good deal considering the decent portion size. The fish was also cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy and the meat was moist, flaky and tender. They devoured it in no time. The view was amazing as it overlooks the valley. Overall, this is a great option if you're not in a rush to go back to skiing as it is a table service restaurant versus some people would want to maximize their skiing time. Every time we come to Whistler we go to Christine's and in the past we always had a fabulous time. This time however felt different. The food was fine but not great, especially for the price, and the service felt off, not fine dining. We started we the crispy pork belly appetizer and that was the highlight of the meal, very good. I then had the duck confit (it was just ok, on the dry side), and my husband had the charred short rib (fine but nothing special and he didn't care for the side). We then shared the brownie for dessert (it was very dry and not great). The service felt impersonal, pretentious, unwelcoming and robotic.. no one was smiling, it was honestly not pleasurable to be there, we just felt that they were trying to turn tables and collect your money. During our stay in Whistler, we also ate at Steeps on the Whistler side twice and I can honestly say that our experience at Steeps far far surpassed the one at Christine's. The food at Steeps was sooo much better (hence why went twice), the servers were extremely friendly and made you feel welcome. It's really a shame because we used to love going to Christine's. But next time we are in Whistler, we will stick to Steeps for a really nice meal on the slopes & avoid Christine's. read more

We came here after they called and stated they had space for us and removed us from the waitlist. We had a couple of issues with the Gondola (guided the wrong way, and the gondolas were down), so we called and let them know that the issues were out of our control. They stated it would be no problem to come up still, and they would seat us. We get here, and the hostess passive-aggressively reminds us of how they have a huge wait of over 600 people and that they can only hold our table for 10 minutes (which they did not say when we called), meaning we lost our reservation. We called to address our lateness to ensure we didn't waste our time going up the Gondola for nothing. Anyway, she told us to step aside and wait for the chance to get in. After about a 10-minute wait while looking for food elsewhere, they find a table for us. We sat down and were greeted by our waitress, who was an absolute gem! We ordered our drinks, and they came out fairly quickly. I enjoyed a Caesar, and my boyfriend had an old-fashioned. We then ordered some appetizers, which were carrots and pork belly. They were both just super, super bland. The carrots came with some greens, but they were all just flavorless and dry. My boyfriend's pork belly was also very dry, which is surprising when pork belly is mostly fat. We then ordered two burgers to give them a shot, and they were nothing special. Just regular burgers that you can basically get anywhere. The fries were soggy and just not good. The main reason I am even giving this place 1 star is because of the view and the service of our waitress. Is it worth coming to? Meh. I beg to differ. They are only in business because of the view. Their food stinks, and they know they would never make it without it. Again, the views are excellent, but honestly, the customer service at the hostess stand is atrocious. 4.5 Apparently this is THE place to apres ski, and we definitely got that vibe at lunch time on a Friday. Views are stunning from the top of the mountain with floor to ceilings windows. It gets really packed, and the space is kinda cramped, so be prepared for a little bit of chaos and make reservations in advance. My husband and I started with the charcuterie board and we added cheeses. As we found across the board in Whistler, the meats and cheeses here are top tier! For my main I had the burger which was good. My only complaints are: our booth was really cramped considering all our winter gear; service was pretty good all things considered but at times I felt rushed and other times there were large lapse in service; the menu is very limited. read more

We enjoyed the wagyu burger which was super juicy, and the beet salad (more like a Caesar salad with a feta dressing) good large portion. This was our first visit to Christine's though we have visited Blackcomb for 30 years. It is a beautiful location with expansive views over the Whistler valley. This is fine dining in the mountains with very good service and a mostly quiet setting for a very good meal. There was a brief wait to get a table but the restaurant was not even half full on a Thursday at lunch time. We were seated on the upper level with a nice view in nearly all directions. Our server greeted us and provided good service during our visit. We each ordered a beverage, I had a First Frost and my companion had a beer. We didn't know what to expect so we just ordered an entree each. The menu is limited and that makes sense, I am sure it is far more efficient. I ordered the Wagyu hamburger and my companion had the pasta with beef. There were a couple of curry dishes (I believe, I did not recognize the names of the dishes). The Wagyu burger was definitely tasty and better than the average burger. The fries were well prepared and good but nothing out of the ordinary. My companion said the pasta was excellent. This is an expensive option for lunch in the mountains but for a special meal, it is well worth the expense! read more

Had heard amazing things about christine's but after eating here was rather disappointed. Very limited menu with just 4 entrees and no kids menu or kids options. The view of the mountain from restaurant was nice but not any different than the view from the food court immediately on the other side of the restaurant. Also No bathrooms inside the restaurant so need to go all the way through the food court and back downstairs to use the bathroom. Food was ok but definitely not worth the price or the hype. Would eat here if they had a table open when you're coming off the gondola and it conveniently worked into your runs but definitely not worth working your ski schedule around eating here. Breathtaking views and delicious food. What could get any better than this? We came during July 4 weekend where the weather was spectacular and you could see everything around you. After hiking, we decided to grab some food before heading back down to town. We wanted more of a sit down so decided on Christine's. I usually look at the menu or research a bit more before going to a place. Since none of us had service, we just decided to give it a go. Extremely happy with the choice. Every dish was beautifully displayed and had super fresh foods. The tomatoes of the season really took my breath away. BC tomatoes are the best (and I ended up getting a lot more at the grocery store when I got back to the village). I am in Whistler quite often, so I'm excited to come back to Christine's! read more

Every time we go we regret the whole experience Today we were served burrata that came apart like string cheese or rotisserie chicken. To order- the hamachi appetizer, the hamouli (new for me and woah so good), the burger, and the yummy champagne they offer you upon sitting down. Christine's is the high end dining option located in the recently remodeled Rendezvous Lodge at Blackcomb. For that higher price point, you get a gorgeous interior, stunning picturesque views, and great cocktails and food. The food is a mix of modern American cuisine and is all plated well. Service is both friendly and low-key despite the high end feel, perhaps because half the crowd is in ski boots and clothing and often take off their ski boots to fit in the booths. We sampled an array of dishes and enjoyed most, if not all of them. The highlight for me was the Royal Bloody Caesar, an extravagant and delicious version of Canada's Bloody Mary. Our orders: Short Rib - not the largest portion size but tasty and tender. This dish, like several of the others, is best ordered as a group and shared. Hamachi Carpaccio - a lovely dish with three to four thick slices of fresh hamachi and minimal dressing. Nice to get fresh seafood at this elevation. Seared Scallops - three seared scallops were served on a large platter. A bit of a let down as the flavors were a bit muted, but luckily the scallops were not overcooked. Crab Risotta - the loveliest dish of the meal with a bright green color to mix with the crab meat and risotto. The risotto could have been a touch softer and creamier with extra cooking, but hit the spot. Overall, we had a lovely meal at Christine's. Reservations are recommended or you're almost guaranteed a wait and it's best to sit by the windows if you can although even the interior seats are elevated for great views. It doesn't get any better than this! This has to be the best restaurant I've ever eat at on a Mountain. We loved it so much, we ate there for lunch, every day we skied! The food was always perfectly cooked and deliciously presentable. The service was impeccable. And the views are outstanding. I'm sure this place gets packed so you might want to make a reservation or just do what we did and plan on having early lunches every day. A must when in Whistler! Regardless of weather you're on the mountain shredding or just exploring for the day you must get lunch at Christine's. Their food is delicious. Absolutely top notch. Additionally, the view cannot be beat. Ask for a window table if possible. But keep in mind they are EXTREMELY busy!!! Try to make reservations early or a day or two beforehand. If you're not able to do so and make it last minute be prepared to wait. We were told 30min but ended up waiting about 1hr 20min which is the main reason for four stars. Ask for a drink menu so you can get started with a couple while you wait! Regardless of how long you have to wait it will be worth it. 100%. The service and staff are amazing. Take the Champagne and enjoy yourself it will be one of the best meals you'll ever have! read more

Christine's has fantastic food -- far better than most of the finer restaurants in the village. I really wish they were open for dinner. I know it seems funny when you've got all that gear on to have a sit-down meal, but if you're sick of the mediocre fare you find elsewhere, then treat yourself. Wayne is often behind the bar, and he can make you a "pick me up" espresso martini. The wine list and pairing suggestions are also great, with a focus on local wines. The house salad comes with roasted asparagus, roasted cherry tomatoes, and candied pecans. The osso bucco is melt in your mouth tender, served with roasted fingerling potatoes and root vegetables. And the grilled cheese sandwich, made with bacon and granny smith apples (I know, go figure, but it's amazing!) has a cup of tomato bisque with it for dipping. Honestly, there are only two or three restaurants in Whistler that have food that's better than decent. This is GREAT food, expertly prepared, from scratch. One downside? The service is haphazard, and there's sometimes a wait to get in. Go late and you'll have an easier wait. As for the service... Not sure what to suggest. read more

The combination of fantastic food and the high alpine were amazing. The view of the surrounding mountains and Whistler Village in the valley below is spectacular. The food was equally amazing, impressing me, my foody girlfriend and her foody mother. Everything we ordered was fantastic, from the bruschetta starter through the mains (try the salmon!). The staff was also excellent.... surprisingly knowledgeable for a restaurant in a mountain top chalet! While the location is great, it is a couple ski lift rides away from the local roads. You have to include it as a day trip on the Peak to Peak gondola in the summer or as your lunch spot on a ski day. So very worth it how ever you get there. read more
