We needed a quick bite and went upstairs to eat. Menu is basic salad sandwiches fish and chips falafel. I tried the fish and chips in panko crumbs served with a rather nasty homemade tartar sauce .Service was slow fish and fries were good. Decor was nice and I believe they had blankets available

Great spot in whistler away for custom cocktails, beer on tap, and pub food. The prices are similar to what's around Whistler. The service was top tier, two young blonde ladies made sure we were served quickly. Would come back again. Also got to watch the games on TV. Decent place to catch the game as well and not too loud. It was busy for a Friday night but they sat us quickly.

Amazing!!!! Deciding where to go in The Village was work enough! Great place to eat after mountain exploring & hiking. It was a birthday for one of my friend's traveling with & he had a full rack of ribs, I had a Lamb burger & another friend had the Shaved beef sandwich .. The food was a wonderful delight. .... Then the very next night we decided to go back & had another rewarding meal! We had 1-The Beacon Signatute Burger, 1-Cesar Salad with chicken & I had an order of Onion rings & salad.... Ohhhh so Good When in Whistler BC on the village, give it a try

Beacon Pub & Eatery is conveniently located near our hotel and so we decided to walk down for dinner before heading to the grocer next door for some holiday supplies. We waited no more than a couple of minutes before a friendly greeting, a quick table wipe down, and we were seated. The hostesses were very professional, courteous, and polite. The place was absolutely hopping, and busy as could be - but the patio seating was comfortable, albeit packed, and well situated for people watching as they walked along by the fenced seating and tables. The choice of music selection in The Beacon was a mix of Weezer, Red Hot Chili peppers, and some other bands that were a great selection, and don't kill the vibe or feel like a "club". We could converse, sit, eat, and enjoy each others company, while still listening to a great song selection . The food... for the price I'd say it was worth it. If you're in Whistler, you should be prepared to spend money, as it's a tourist destination after all. But eating at the Beacon you'll find better prices than some locations, with a fresh, tasty selection. The lobster was sweet, and the dill sauce contributed perfectly to the pairing. Arugula garnished the plate and my fries were heavily seasoned (to perfection) tucked up right alongside my two lobster rolls. The perfect size portion of fresh, sweet, succulent lobster roll and crispy, savoury, salty fries. A definitive 10/10. I highly recommend Beacon Pub and Eatery for its overall atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, relatively reasonable prices, and fantastic location in Whistler Village. I'll definitely be back~!

Surprised at the mixed reviews here! We visited Beacon Pub & Eatery for a late lunch and were seated right away. The restaurant was spacious, with mostly high-top seating upstairs, and a casual vibe. For drinks, I ordered the Spritz Me, which was a mocktail version of an Aperol Spritz. I've been on the hunt for a good zero-proof version of this drink, and this was the best version I've found so far. Very tasty and refreshing! For food, my boyfriend and I shared the Poutine and Beacon Wings. The Poutine was delicious, and I really liked the vegetarian gravy. It was also the perfect size to share between two people. The Beacon Wings were cooked very well and came with a choice of BBQ, Buffalo, or Ranch. We got both Buffalo and Ranch, which was expectedly a great combo. Service was fast and friendly, and we did not leave hungry. Would return!

We decided to try this pub as most other restaurants in Whistler were fully booked for the night and there seemed to be a lot of people here. The service was fast and friendly. They came to check in with us several times despite us sitting at the far end of the patio (the main patio area was way too hot with the heaters and with how close the tables were). We ordered the fish and chips Wednesday special, a pulled pork burger and a Caesar. I got to say that the fries here were bomb! Nice and thick, but still crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Would go again just for fries! The pulled pork burger was enjoyable. Definitely very saucy. I found the fish breading a little too thick and made the dish overall kinda dry and very heavy. You can skip on the caeser here though, it was very pricey and not very flavorful. Overall, enjoyed the food (especially the fries) and atmosphere but would opt for just beer next time.

(Kari's Rating 5.5/10)…read more Came here with a group of 8 for an aprés ski and they charged half of us coming in a $10 cover just "because it started getting busy." Which it wasn't inside at all where our table was. Very loud and rowdy and the dj played the same parts of songs over the three hour time span we were there. Our server was half attentive, but she kept wandering off when we wanted to order more drinks-which just kind of made it difficult. We couldn't find our server for the rest of the night so we ordered from other random servers. We ordered a few buckets of beer and two poutine's. Which ended up being $48 for two small bowls that's essentially just really soggy fries- But to each their own. It's not the restaurants fault, it's what we ordered. We did order the regular truffle fries and they were much better! We also did a round of green tea and tequila shots, all shots were $12. Pretty cool for a first time experience but probably wouldn't come back, as it's overly crowded, champagnes flying everywhere and the bottle service sparklers were so strong it smelled a little like chemicals -but fun while we were here.

First impression was that we didn't seem to be their target audience as a middle aged couple - although the place was relatively empty we were seated in the middle-back away from everyone else who were younger. We could have asked for different seats so not faulting anyone - it was just amusing. Nonetheless, service was prompt and friendly. Drinks were very sweet - cruise ship style, and a bit overpriced. We didn't get any food and were relatively in and out, but the food others were getting looked satisfying.

There were many tvs and a big screen projector showing the hockey game. Then I noticed Canucks jerseys hanging from the rafter and on the walls. Ok, so sports was big here. It was not rowdy though. We sat away from the main dining hall and got a corner table near the entrance. Service was ok, took a while for the requested extra napkins to come. Our server forgot about it. Guessed it was busier in the main hall which was on a spilt level up. Food wise, it was decent food in a neighborhood pub. Not a huge selection but it had the typical food here so everyone should be able to get something they like. The calamari was surprisingly good. Tender lightly battered squid, not rubbery at all. The whiskey bbq ribs with fries and slaw were good too. The wild BC salmon burger with clam chowder was so-so. I wished the salmon was a bit less over cooked. Salmon was lightly charred outside and unfortunately the inside was a bit hard. At least not too dry. I would prefer the salmon to just have a light crisp with the inside being 70-80% cooked. The miso glaze was nice though. The clam chowder as the side was bad as it did not taste like it at all. It was more of a cream of vegetables soup with some bits of clams in it. That was a disappointment. Fries or salad for the side in future. I also had the Moscow mule. It had real ginger bits in it. I didn't care for that as you kept getting them in every sip and they were real gingery spicy. Not a place I would make a special trip for, but a decent place for a meal when passing by. They open till 12 midnight or 1 am. Nice sized parking lot in front and back of the building.
