I took my family here while visiting Whistler based on the reviews we read and we were definitely not disappointed. They have a nice variety of offerings that they can sell by the slice in a short amount of time. The staff was super friendly and the service was very efficient. My only slight complaint is that the slices I ordered were a tiny bit undercooked for me. I like a really crisp crust and mine had a bit of a "flop". Everyone else in my group got slices that were super crispy so I guess I was just unlucky. The pizza here is (surprisingly) delicious! I got lucky because when I went in it was pretty open and they had a bunch of pizzas ready for slices. They say service with a smile, I was met with service with a scowl. Shannon, on of the hosts, really ruined my entire experience at Handlebar. I'm a local and have been a customer for a while, and that was the worst interaction I've ever had with any of the staff at the establishment. I can understand that people have bad days but it should not impact your professionalism so profoundly. Since, there have been times where I have questioned whether to buy pizza from Handlebar in case I have to interact with her again; I am aware of similar instances with other patrons. On the flip side, the back of house were twice as kind as she was from behind the kitchen, they never disappoint; shout out to all the Harrys. I am severely disappointed that this is the first impression many would receive of handlebar, it is a great spot which I would recommend to many, just not if she's on shift! read more

We checked in on Yelp for a free pretzel, which was something they offered. We also shared a plate of fries and fried pickles. The sauces that came with everything were very good and unique. When it came to main courses, I had the Vegan brat which looked a little suspect but was SOOOO good. I had it with the grilled onions and coleslaw. Delish. They also had a hard cider on tap- yay! On a weekend getaway we stumbled across this little beer cafe. It was just what we were looking for! The staff were very casual, friendly and helpful with recommendations. The beer selection was on point and the food was perfect for sharing thanks to the big portion size. We were able to snag a table outside to enjoy the sunshine. It was the perfect spot to people watch. The only downside for us was that the seating was limited and you have to pay with cash. Luckily they have an ATM inside so it wasn't a big deal. Next time we are in whistler we will definitely be back to try out their latest selection of beers. read more
