Our first night tradition when vacationing in Whistler has always been Pizzeria Antico - tonight, jet lagged having been awake since 12:30am local time to get here -we headed here early which was a good move as it was chilly and wet and the place was already packed!! Service is a tad slow as they are very understaffed but our server was lovely nonetheless! We averted an early disaster after ordering beer FLIGHTS and watching the bar tender pour PINTS - which would have resulted in 10 for 2 of us - guess they don't do flights any more so we settled on 2 IPAs!! We had our usual - cheese and meat plate which was awesome, burrata and blistered tomato dish - this was the one we had been looking forward to most and it was not up to its usual standard with a slice of burrata and the tomatoes though good - were not the blistered deliciousness of times past! Pizzas were however just as perfect as always !! And we ended with the always fabulous tiramisu! This will always be a favorite place of ours !!

Great place for pizza, pasta and drinks. It is spacious inside, they do have an outdoor patio but it wasn't open when we went. Probably because it isn't summer yet. The Garganelli alla Calabrese pasta was delicious. They make their own Calabria sausage, which has great flavor. The grana padano cheese works well with the sausage and mushrooms. My wife loved the capricciosa pizza. The prosciutto, artichoke, mushrooms, and cheese was a perfect blend of flavors. We recommend this pizza. The service was great. Super friendly, very efficient and if you need anything, just ask and they will help. If you have a stroller or use a wheelchair, you access the restaurant from the patio side as the front doors only have stairs.

Nut allergy: Didn't ask for the margarita pizza. Review is for happy hour only. By some miracle, we got a table for 10 in about 15 minutes at 4:30PM and caught the end of their happy hour. Expect a 20+ minute wait during their happy hour, especially on weekends. Amazing happy hour in the area! Craft beers are $5.50 which includes their rotating tap of beers up to 9.5% ABV, which is incredible. They really CHURN out those margarita pizzas during happy hour. It was less than 20 minutes from being seated and less than 15 minutes from ordering to when we got our pizzas on the table. It was mentioned that one person could finish a happy hour margarita pizza solo. Maybe if you're starving off the lift! We were stuffed with two pizzas for three people (plus 1-2 beers each), and some friends that were lighter eaters shared one pizza for two people. The pizzas are served with a little plate with parmesan, peppers, and herbs that are an excellent touch. Random aside, but their restaurant point of service (POS) system might be the best I have ever seen. The waitress effortlessly split two pizzas three ways and gave us individual bills. Touch Bistro was the name and I hope that gets adopted in the States! Overall, phenomenal service and the space inside is bigger than it seems so you might get lucky with a table!

Dinner for two on a Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Busy with lots of tables full and seated right away. Ordered a margherita and funghi pizza. A lager to shared. Pros: - pizza came out hot with side of Parmesan, seasoning and chilli flakes. Chili oil as well - marg was really tasty - slices have a very very thin bottom which I love Notes: - the pizza dough didn't hold as well as other wood fire pizzerias (ie. Via teverre and spacca Napoli) - Whistler prices do tend to be a bit higher with pizza at $28/29 per - garlic aioli $4 add-on

Perfect mixed Amaretto Sour and a beer

Came here for date night while in Whistler and I am not kidding - this is the best pizza I have had in years! We ordered two pizzas - the Carbonara and the Prosciutto con Ruccola, and they were delicious. The crust was perfect and tasted like true Neapolitan crust (although admittedly I didn't check if it was) and the toppings were perfectly paired for a savory experience that I am still dreaming about today, back home. I also ordered the Amaretto Sour and it was perfectly mixed and paired well with my Prosciutto con Ruccola pizza. The staff was friendly, the food was fast, and overall, it was a delightful date night. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Oh my goddd. What a place! We ordered a cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The cheese, flatbread and meat was super fresh. I love it. And of course Martini was absolutely out of the world as well. I loved the vibr, very industrial yet cozy and I loved the staff. Getting a table was quick and service was superb! Must go.

    Margherita Pizza and Carnivore Pizza

We just got home to Texas from a week in Whistler. Pizzeria Antico was our first night dinner, as it was when we visited in June and couldn't wait to go back. It has a very warm and welcoming ambiance conveniently located on Northlands Blvd where many private condo rentals are so for us it's like a 3 minute walk. We started with 2 Caesar salads that are served on flatbread and then had a Carnivore pizza and a Margherita pizza. Both very tasty and served with red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and oregano for sprinkling on top. The only difference that I would want is that the crust along the bottom be just a little more crisp and not so soft and flexible, thus the 4 stars. It wouldn't stop me from going again, just something I prefer... From the hostesses to the server all were very welcoming. Definitely give Pizzeria Antico a try!! They have many pasta dishes too that I haven't even tried yet... Next time!

    Prosciutto and arugula pizza

We've always passed by but have never gone in. After chatting with someone at the hot tub who recommended this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. He said that they always go back every time they visit. NICE FIND! We thought it would be easier to get in (since they don't take reservations) earlier rather than later but found out that they have an après-ski special so it was packed. We left our number and put our name down. They told us it would be approximately a 40-45 minute wait which was fine. We had to get some groceries anyway. We received a text message that our table was ready and they were pretty accurate with the anticipated wait time. We decided to do family-style with the burrata salad and arugula salad to start, a garganelli alla calabresse, and prosciutto and arugula pizza to share. The salads were huge but so good. I preferred the arugula with lemon over the burrata salad. It was lighter and fresh tasting. The pasta had a nice kick to it and the sausage added a nice flavour to it. I wish the pasta was a bit more al dente though. The pizza was really good! I loved the crust! I think we've found our fave pizza in Whistler!

Sometimes you go to a place and you decide that the food doesn't even matter because your service is so great. I would literally come back for the energy of the waitress we had. We are usually a larger group, so it's not easy to tackle. She was positive, genuine, checked in on us frequently, was friendly and overall provided us with great entertainment. That being said the pizza was good here. The bread itself on a plain cheese pizza is a true test of a pizza place. The sauce has to have the right flavor, the cheese has to have the right distribution and taste and the bread has to taste good on its own as well as in combination. So the cheese pizza becomes the true test and comparison point for the quality of a pizza place. Here there were no theatrics. Just good pizza. Some of the flavors were ok in my opinion, the pasta was medium, and the prices were quite average for this area. They do have a cocktail menu if you are looking for a place that serves drinks outside of beer and wine.

It is a small spot with just a few tables outside and a few tables inside. The eatery gets pretty busy so we felt lucky to get a table inside. They have a lot of choices and we settled on the ones we wanted to try. I went with the veggie pie and added the mushy style peas, mashed potatoes and gravy to the top. Mr. B decided on the Kangaroo pie after talking to the staff. He was a little leary of where the Kangaroo came from, but we were told there is a farm in British Columbia that raises them, so he wanted to try something he had never had. Please see the note below about the kangaroo. There is a correction. The pies came out and were quite large, but we must have been hungry and they were scrumptious we finished them off. Let's start with the veggie pie. It was filled with veggies, carrots, potatoes, onion, corn, celery and yams. The sauce is a coconut milk based sauce and was creamy. The Hopper, with ground kangaroo was lovely. The pie is filled with ground kangaroo, and I mean ground, it was fine meat and stuffed full with a Cabernet Merlot Balsamic Reduction that balanced the sweetness of the meat. The service was great, the staff was nice, and helpful. Great choice. NOTE: I received a correction from the owner of Peaked Pies after posting this review. The Kangaroo is not sourced from British Columbia as we were told. While the food was excellent this was disappointing to hear. Mr. B specifically asked where the kangaroo was sourced as he didn't want frozen and would have ordered something else.
