We stopped by and ordered off their happy hour and kids menus for an early dinner. Service was great. We shared an order of pizza, calamari and mussels. Flavours were good. I was really craving pizza and my husband recommended this place for their wood fired pizza. I love a great wood fired pizza and they did not disappoint. Our server was very warm and welcoming, Kristen. Service was quick throughout our entire stay and she always came and checked on us throughout dinner. All of the staff were super friendly. Wasn't planning on getting pizza, but after seeing their Tuesday promo for a 20" pizza for $20, so decided to take out and see what its about. Got the Funghi pizza. Its really thin! and the toppings were ok, could have used a bit more variety and amount, but for $20 and for that size, you could do a lot worse, so overall, great value and would recommend coming here for their special. The one negative is that there is an hour wait for the pizza even for take out (never mind trying to get a seat), but it was ok, we went to do something else and popped back for it. read more

I've been to this restaurant before and loved it--the food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with a nice upscale vibe. I was excited to bring my husband here after having such a great experience last year. We had a fantastic dinner, and the 3 for $30 deal is such a good value. However, the service left a sour taste in our mouths. When our check arrived, we were charged for the dessert that's supposed to be included in the 3 for $30 deal. Thankfully, I caught the mistake before paying. After the server "corrected" it, she brought over the POS, and the total was still wrong. At that point, I had already paid using Apple Pay because I trusted her to fix it--but the amount was incorrect again! This kind of repeated mistake is frustrating and honestly unacceptable. What made it worse was her attitude. She didn't seem to care or apologize, which made it feel less like an honest mistake and more like she was intentionally trying to overcharge us. This left a bad impression and made it hard to want to return, despite how great the food and ambiance are. I hope management addresses this because it's not that hard to charge the correct amount, and poor service like this really detracts from the overall experience. read more

We came here on a Friday night at the end of October (off season) without reservations. Despite the place is busy, we only have to wait for 10' for a table. During Fall, many restaurants has a set menu and so is Caramba. They have 3 courses for $30, everyday except Saturday!!! What a great deal! Initial I was worried that the portion might be small, but man I was wrong. If you look at my photos, the pasta portion is huge and I cannot finish mine. So for my set course, I got: - Calamari - Tagliatelle Pesto - Caramelize white chocolate cheesecake Every course is delicious and I left the restaurant feeling I just got another huge Thanksgiving dinner! Drinks are pretty good. I have the smoked negroni. And you wouldn't guess it's bourbon based on the colour because of the clarification. Very cool drink to try. I definitely would come back next time I'm in Whistler. read more

Happy Hour! We arrived in Whistler a bit too early for our hotel check in, so we walked to Caramba for Happy Hour (3-5pm). We ordered a pitcher of white sangria - which was the biggest pitcher of sangria we've ever seen for $25! It's the size of a beer pitcher. From the Happy Hour menu, we ordered three dishes for $25 (or the price is one is $10 each) - the meatballs, squid and garlic prawns. I only ate the prawns and they were cooled perfectly and well seasoned. My son and husband liked the squid and meatballs. Since the HH menu didn't have much that I wanted, I ordered the duck off the regular menu - and it was excellent! The medium rare duck breast was perfect. The turnips, mushrooms, mushroom mousse and the sauce were perfect. My son stole more than "just a bite" from this dish. read more

Good food and service. We dropped by on a Tuesday and they had lots of specials happening. There was a 3 for $36 menu as well as 20inch pizzas for $20 and happy hour drinks on special! We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't too busy but it definitely started to fill up by the end of our meal. We ordered the margherita pizza and was warned by how ridiculously large it was, and they weren't kidding. When it arrived, we were shocked. Definitely a great price and we have leftovers for the next day. The pizza itself was pretty good. I liked that the pizza crust was thin but cooked long enough that it still had structure and held up. It wasn't toooo cheesy and there was a decent amount of basil. For the 3 course meal we got the calamari, linguine frutti di mare, and apple tart tatin. Calamari- I was craving this but when it arrived it was different than what I expected. It wasn't battered and fried. However, I liked how it was charred and flavourful. It was cooked just enough and it was tender and not super chewy. I didn't take a photo since I was hungry, but I would gladly order it again! Linguine- good sized portion with fish and prawns. The pasta was cooked just right and was tasty. Apple tart tatin- served warm with gelato on top. It was a perfect way to end the meal. It wasn't too sweet. I liked the large slices of apples. Came here on a Saturday night with reservations and didn't really get a good impression at first because the workers had a disagreement on where we would be seated so we ended up being relocated after being seated. The restaurant wasn't even that busy yet but our food took 35-40 minutes to come out which is kind of ridiculous to me. With such a long wait, no one even bothered to check in on us. The waiter wasn't really friendly either. I felt like she didn't really want to be there and put in very little effort. And while my friend was resting her head on the table she kept giving her weird looks. The overall food was okay but honestly I think the garlic aioli triple fried chips (aka french fries) was probably my favorite thing in the picture. Not pictured but we did get cocktails which were great but also took a while to come out. Beware that's it's pretty hard to get around the restaurant because all the tables and chairs are so close together. I do appreciate that they have coat hangers everywhere in the restaurant to hang up our gear/jackets. read more

Come here every year for annual ski trip at least 2 to 3 times during our stay. Can't wait to eat here every time, but this year was not as amazing. The pizza was soggy and the pesto pasta was just meh and pretty dry. The brussel sprouts were excellent. Just not sure this level of quality is worth the high price here anymore. Hoping they go back to their stellar food when we come again. Also the tables stuck in the aisle way are just not cool. I loved all the breakfast dishes My buttermilk fried chicken was really well done. The eggs were perfect and the hollandaise - good, just rich enough and not too salty. The potato mini cakes is really good - it's hard to describe but it's like a muffin shaped potato crisp. The creamy mushrooms are REALLY good. Everything was a notch better than expected. We only had takeaway pizzas from Caramba, so probably didn't get the full experience, but I would rate them as OK. I'm a big fan of really good wood fired pizzas, and while Caramba's were pretty good, they left much to be desired (we ordered one Margherita, and one Fennel Sausage). The ingredients and toppings seemed to be of high quality, and the flavors were pleasing to the palate; but the crust was a bit of a let down. Typically a wood oven will develop a great crisp to the pizza crust and "undercarriage", but these were completely lacking in that department. In addition, the outer crust was excessively large in comparison to the small diameters of the pizzas, which made for a lot to chew on. It also made the real tasty part of the pizza (the toppings) a bit on the skimpy side. Crisp up and shrink those crusts, and you've got some good pizzas. But as is, they are just OK. read more

And yes not only are there the usual toppings, but there also are two SLIDERS and FRIED PICKLES on top of the large mason jar of Caesar! Regular is $27 and during their 'tappy hour' (daily 3-5pm) is $22! Aside from a great selection of drink specials they also have 3 appies for $20 amongst their happy hour menu list! It's quite a decent selection. We chose the ones that were more bang for your bucks with the Calamari A La Plancha + Braised Meatball + Sautéed Garlic Prawns. All very tasty! It had apples and nuts and the dressing was delightful. We also ordered a Truffle funghi pizza which came served with delicious rosemary ricotta.
