My wife and I had a very pleasant lunch here, warm May Friday in the village, not too crowded. Sat outside, nice service. They had a brunch special, but we opted to share a few dishes and appetizers - - bruschetta three ways - pretty good, mushroom one is my favorite, it has a kick to it. However one of them was too salty. - pear salad - really really good, just hits the spot, very well balanced, pear was excellent - salmon BLT - I really liked this one. I feared salmon might be too well done but it's actually just perfect, seared with slightly crispy skin, but still tender. Would definitely come back. Although, it was pretty pricey.. ***What we ordered ~ **Norwegian Smoked Steelhead (10/10) ~ This was amazing. The smoked steelhead tasted so fresh! I loved the flavor from the dill and the garlic cream sauce made it even more delicious! I would highly recommend ordering this! **Lamb Ragout (5/10) ~ The noodles were cooked perfectly, the lamb was soft, and the sauce was really good! However, not sure why but the pasta came out pretty cold.. the only thing that was somewhat warm was the lamb itself, but everything else was pretty cold which was a unfortunate :( **Funghi Pizza (8/10) ~ All truffle lovers or if you love the taste of truffles, this is for you! The pizza itself was really good! Sauce was good, perfect mushroom ratio, and the truffle flavor was not too overwhelming! My wife and I dined on the patio here during a visit in October 2023. The prices are high, but the food, wine [list], service and ambiance were all outstanding. We started with a roasted mushroom toast appetizer, something we regularly order at a local restaurant (and wherever else we can find it), and it was the best we've ever had. There was a beet dish that was also delicious. The lamb ragout was also very good. They have an extensive wine list. I believe we had an Amarone, which was less expensive than I would expect to see in a US restaurant. We enjoyed dining outside, but they have heat lamps, and the server brought out a blanket for my wife, who needed a bit of extra warmth. Service was very attentive throughout. The only flaw in our experience was when someone else seated on the patio got up to smoke a cigarette off the patio, but upwind of our table. read more

We were wandering around the Village after a day of skiing and thought the menu looked good, so we decided to try it. It was fairly busy, but we didn't have to wait more than 2-3 minutes for a table. Our server was extremely pleasant and had some great recommendations for food and wine. My fiancé ordered the lamb ragout and I ordered the mushroom risotto. His pasta was very good, but the risotto was amazing! I think they added truffles to it, so it was all sorts of savory, comforting, and delicious. Plus we didn't have to wait more than 10-15 minutes for our food. The decor had a very rustic vibe - exposed brick, stone floor, etc. It reminded me of old, Italian architecture. Customer service was not excellent from our waitress, the food was just okay, and then at the end she mixed up 3 of our bills and did not give us our receipts to confirm before paying. After we payed and talked with the rest of our group about how much we payed, we realized there was an issue/mixup but she said they "didn't do refunds" and that we would have to figure it out ourselves. Luckily we got the manager who was actually able to refund us and we could repay for the right bill, although he looked very lost and the members of our group had to direct him. read more

We came here hungry and hoping for decent food. We had Erica serve us. (That was the name in the bill) My husband and I ordered the lobster bruschetta, the pear salad and the vegan meatballs (he has a dairy allergy hence why our choices) Lobster bruschetta was so awful, but the server seemed to not have the time for us to comment or complain so we just left it. We were also very hungry and there with his parents so we didn't want to say anything in front of them. The bread was black and rock hard, the lobster was this shredded canned looking lobster that tasted old with no sauce or anything.. just burnt hard toast with this shredded lobster on top that was very overpriced for what it was. The pear salad was the only thing that was ok. The vegan meatballs were strange.. the vegan meat was decent but put in what tasted like an expired sauce with veggies that were so soggy and mushed. Again, tasted like they were sitting in a can or sauce for a while to be that way. What really bothered us were the drinks.. my husband asked if they could make the old fashioned with mezcal and she went ahead and up charged us 9$ to a 17$ drink without asking us if we wanted to do that. The old fashioned came out in these weird water glasses with "king cubes" that were half melted telling me the drinks sat a while. Didn't deserve a $26 price tag. When I asked what the open $9 charge was on the bill, she responded with we charge for mezcal. If she had told us that we wouldn't have ordered it. It came in a container with ice so it got chilled eventually but would have been nice chilled from the beginning. Got bolognese pasta and seafood pasta. Both were decent but unremarkable. Ordered a side of bread - which came sort of toasted and cold. With a couple of pats of butter. There's no excuse for an Italian restaurant that can't figure out how to source good bread. There are all kinds of bakeries in the Whistler area. They just don't prioritize good bread. Service was very slow as they were understaffed. Servers were very courteous and that was actually one of the highlights. I would recommend this for value, just be aware that it's not really gourmet. read more

Fun fact: we came here on accident. Feeling pretty warm after a day of skiing, we wandered down intending to visit the restaurant next door which we'd enjoyed a couple days prior. Our intrepid and fearless leader who may or may not have hit his head earlier in the day walked right up to the front door, took a left, and sat at an outside table at the restaurant next door. Well, it worked out. Was delighted it discover they were offering mulled wine. With that, a few beers, pizza, and calamari, we were pretty much set for our après-ski plans for the day. Probably hung out there for about an hour before heading back to our condo and getting ready for dinner. The only thing that went a little bit sideways here is when a server came by intending to create space on the table and inadvertently knocked my (admittedly precariously positioned) phone onto the stone floor. Hah! Okay, if I was by myself, this average rating would've scared me away. But, when you're with a group, and that group is family (and you have no phone signal)........well, let's just say the chips fall where they fall. But, I was pleasantly surprised. But, only a little. And I didn't order it, of course, because if you order a rigatoni bolognese because you thought it was spaghetti, that's your own fault. Unless, if maybe, the waitress directed you to order that instead of the spaghetti primavera because that one is vegetarian (lmao). Then, I guess the waitress shares a little blame. In any case, I tried it and the pasta seemed too dry and starchy; the sauce was also quite weak. Some cheese or pepper would've helped. The waitress did have the Parmesan cheese grater thing and pepper was available, but we told her to stop shortly on each dish as we did not have the benefit of hindsight. *shrugs* Regardless, this was not a good dish. The gnocchi carne that I ordered was way better (popular item). The Italian sausage has a strong flavor that is suitable for the equally imposing carb of the gnocchi. Additionally, you get a hearty portion of pesto and arugula that was definitely needed to control the umami. I mean, it's not a masterpiece or anything, but it works. Barrel aged negroni - Instantly reminded me of an old fashioned, but with gin. It was just okay. Arancini - Ooohh, not bad not bad. I dare say that the rigatoni would've benefited from some more of this marinara. Finally, I saw quite a few reviews complaining about service. I can relate to some of it. We arrived early on Tuesday, and there were plenty of empty tables the whole time. I felt like I saw more than enough employees to serve the number of customers present, yet our waitress seemed super busy somehow. Hmmm. Yeah, they don't give you water until you ask for it nor do they have any sort of appetizer bread or anything else, which feels rather stingy for a joint with this price tag. Modern atmosphere and menu. Portions were huge so my husband and I were glad we split the caesar salad and entree. We ordered the Tomahawk Veal and enjoyed making light of Salt Bae's style of presentation with our waiter who enthusiastically brought a specialty salt to our table which was appreciated. I've visited this restaurant thrice since 2017. It used to be so good! In the past two times, the decline in the food, service, cleanliness are glaringly evident. We ordered a funghi pizza with mushrooms that were not even sliced, just halved and stuck on the pizza half-heartedly. The dough was undercooked and chewy. It was of very low quality for a $23 pizza. There were mice running around near our feet... darting throughout the outdoor sitout. Our jug of water had a couple of dead fruit flies in it. Just awful all in all. I would not go there again. Even if it is smack in the middle of the village, there are better options around. Go somewhere else. read more

Came here with a party of 12 and we were seated in an amazing private room. Our server was amazing and took great photos of our group. The only downside of this restaurant was the wait for our food. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but we waited a hour and a half for our food and were only offered bread and butter when when we asked. My veal tomahawk was good, but not great. The broccolini and potatoes that came with my dish were a great complement to the fatty veal. I don't think the veal tomahawk is worth the wait, however the other members of my party who had seafood dishes would argue that it is worth the wait. I was a bit hesitant about going to this restaurant based off of the reviews but it was the only place that could make my Italian dream meal a reality; so I took a chance and boy am I ever glad that I went with my instinct and gave this phenomenal place a shot! Caira was such a friendly and efficient waitress. She tended to all of our needs. The hostess put us in the best table in the house tucked away in a private corner in a circular booth with an amazingly huge beautiful romantic chandelier hanging right above. The food was so incredibly good and the veal t-bone was my favourite by far. The seafood pasta with tomato sauce was packed with tons of prawns and salmon along with mussels too. It was really delicious and saucy; just the way I like it. The Mediterranean salad was humongous and super filling and the tiramisu was out of this world yummy creamy and superbly delightful. Went to Whistler during Christmas Eve and all the restaurants were fully booked. We couldn't find a place to make reservations so we just walked around the village and try to get a place to eat at. We were a group of 7 so I know it was pretty hard to get any tables for us. The wait staff were pretty nice they told us to come back after 1.5 hours and when we came back, we already have a seat. Mushroom Risotto ($21): Have a very string taste of mushroom and as you can see clearly on the picture, there's a lot of mushrooms in it. The taste of truffle wasn't as strong as I'd liked it to be but the whole dish itself was good. Frutti di Mare ($24): Very creamy and the seafood tasted freshly cooked. We changed the marinara sauce into a cream sauce since we liked it creamier and the staff was very open to changed. Grilled Octopus ($16): This one tasted a little bit weird for me but then again I don't really eat a whole lot of octopus. It's a good dish to try but I wouldn't recommend. Service-wise, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, we didn't have any issues with the service so . I saw a lot of reviews about bad customer service but i didn't encounter any, I'd recommend this place but there are also lots of food options in Whistler if you didn't come during peak seasons. read more

Booked in for a later 7:45 dinner for a group of 7 adults to celebrate a birthday, which was indicated on the reservation. From the start our table was not ready for us, this can be understood on a Saturday night (Dec 16th 2023202gter a 10 minute wait outside we were seated at a tucked away table just behind the corner from the hostess and given the customary water and menus. No problem with the location. One person was missing a water so when our waitress appeared we simply asked for it, again no problem. But when you have to remind and ask 3 times , it is. We put in our drink orders, not all at once, since some had not decided. She asked if this was all together for charging purposes and we said no. She then commented that she can figure that out later. We were a lively bunch, but not overly. Finally all drinks came and we ordered dinner. Still going okay, although the waitress seemed "off" somehow. Dinner arrived, was delicious for the most part, although the Winter Menu snowcrab spaghetti with chilli infused oil had way too much chilli in it and it overpowered the dish and left mouths burning. Drinks were overpriced as well as the food for the portion size. Lemocello was ordered by 3 of the dinners for a birthday shot. It was served warm in non chilled shot glasses (I believe it was $17 per shot) As an "Italian" restaurant you should know how to serve this properly. The real concerning issue arouse when we asked for our bills at 9pm as we had plans for 9:45 close by. The waitress came back and forth several times confused. Some of the group tried to lighten the mood with some jokes. The waitress asked so many times who was with who etc...then to clarify what drinks each of us had...she looked like she had been crying and was flustered then disappeared for good.and a male waiter appeared with no explanation to sort out the bill. Keep in mind, it was 3 couples and 1 single so 4 bills. This new waiter could not get it right either with printing the bills 3 to 4 times before they were sorted. This took 40 minutes. At no point was an explanation given, apologies or.even a comp or manager coming over. 2 of the couples still ended up with 2 separate bills each. It was completely ridiculous and the atmosphere was like we had done something wrong, which we had not. We asked if she was okay and the waiter said "she's having some type of mental breakdown" and he had never seen anything like it before. Thr poor girl. We dont know her circumstances but where was her manager to oversee the staff and patrons? She should have been pulled and replaced. When we finally gathered our coats to leave (some of us were outside already) the manager finally came over to.say "so I'm.the manager if you want to speak to me". How unpleasant and unprofessional. We had to go as we had other plans for 945 and did not have time for a conversation anymore after 40 minutes of this unacceptable service. We didn't tip at all as it was so awkward and ridiculous! We hope the waitress is okay but the service was truly terrible and really put a damper on the birthday dinner. None of us 7 would ever eat there again! So disappointed read more
