    Happy Hour Mussels
    Ronald H.

A nice gin bar. I loved their extensive selection, but as with everything Whistler, it is a bit on the pricey side. Gin and Tonic at the happy hour price was good even with the regular tonic (we could pay an upcharge for premium tonics but it was a bit much to be paying close to $20 after tax/tips on a drink for us) Their tapas were tasty, but everything is quite small despite the price. The mussels were excellent - 5 stars - but the hummus plate was very stingy so I would skip it next time. Overall, a nice place for happy hour would recommend.

Such a great place! Great food and service, especially for special occasions. Highly recommend!

The Brickworks is fine restaurant for fine dining. I came there just when it opened for an early dinner. The interior was mildly lit, yet very clean. I ordered the Pan Beer Chicken with the double Brockmans England Gin & Tonic, in courtesy of happy hour. The chicken was succulent and tasted naturally like chicken, with the distinct seasoning on it having a roasted flavour to it. The vegetables were decent, while the mashed potatoes had a garlic and nutty taste to it that I really liked. The gin & tonic was a little bitter and strong but does have a subtle fruity flavour that I enjoyed. The staff at Brickworks are nice and are good at their positions. My only complaint is that the menu choices are pricey, which made me hesitant about come to this restaurant. Still, you should come and eat at Brickworks for a sophisticated meal and drink.

Came in for a late dinner after arriving in Whistler from Vancouver on a Thursday at around 8:30. The restaurant is connected to a hotel, but the food was pretty good for a hotel restaurant. To start, we had the Humboldt Squid (pan seared with garlic chili oil served on a bed of frisee and arugula, topped with tomatoes and marinated olives; served with a creamy leek dip). This was really good, especially with the leek dip. The squid was very tender. I just wish there was more of it. For mains, I had the Honey Glazed Duck Breast (pan seared citrus-honey glazed duck breast served on a bed of carrot puree, with truffle and herby roasted duck fat potatoes and seasonal roasted vegetables. finished with a fresh arugula, beet and fennel salad) and Hubby had the Braised Bison Short Rib (IPA slow-braised Alberta short rib served with creamed duck fat potatoes, seasonal vegetables & a rich bison jus). We swapped potatoes since I'm not a huge fan of truffle. I enjoyed the duck breast. The citrus-honey glaze was very nice, as were the duck fat potatoes. I mean...can you really go wrong with duck fat potatoes? We both thought the bison was just okay - it was kind of dry. They have some pretty interesting menu items. I totally would have tried the bison carpaccio if I wasn't pregnant. Overall, it was a great first meal in Whistler.

So many restaurants on in Whistler, the choices are endless. We ended up at Brickworks by default but good fortune was with us. The restaurant features a variety of options including vegetarian ones. My nephew loved the Korean bowl filled with flavor and veggies. A salmon dish was equally well received. I had the pork chop and it was covered in a divine glaze that melded well with the meat. Apps were equally good and disappeared quickly. If you're traveling or dining with those with unique wants, this restaurant provides a wide variety with solicitous staff.

Impressive gin collection. We kicked off our ladies night out with a gin flight at the Brickworks Public House. The staff are friendly and happy to offer recommendations. With such a complete collection of gins from around the world (and local to BC), you are certain to find one you like! We also ordered a bruschetta to share; it was yummy but hard to share if you're in a party larger than 2.

Happy hour double G&T's Roasted chicken and raviolis

A MUST! We were worried with the only 3.7 star overall rating, but the food, service, and drinks were absolutely amazing. This rating should be much higher. My husband had the roasted 1/2 chicken and I had the butternut squash raviolis. We also shared the Korean cauliflower bites for an app. Amazing 5/5 stars.

My friends and I had a very friendly server and were impressed with the gin selection here. We came in for a quick bite and beer while exploring Whistler Village and were very impressed with the sliced beef carpaccio and mushroom risotto.

Celebrated my first wedding anniversary here with my hubby & family. It was all our first time here and we must say...we definitely loved the food & the friendly (and calm) service, despite it being understaffed. It felt like Gastown vibes, but in Whistler! It was also my first time trying swordfish, so that was exciting. At first it has this strong fishy smell, but that didn't compare to how delicious & meaty it was. For the desserts, we couldn't decide, so ordered both; the cheesecake was a chef's special, crème brulée, but it was on the sweeter side for sure. My family & I all loved the carrot cake! It was moist & flavourful. Will definitely come back if ever we're in Whistler again.

Went here and was seated straight away. We had a nice seat by the window, my favorite. Gin is their thing, so of course we ordered gin drinks. We ordered polenta bites and the brussel sprouts to start. Both of these were delicious. The polenta was crispy on the and creamy inside with a tasty dipping sauce. For my main I had the duck confit salad. I did not care for that one bit. The duck was salty. The salad was made up of kale & frisée. I like kale, but when I get it in a restaurant I'm not such a fan. I don't know why they don't rub the kale. It breaks down the fibers and makes it less like a garnish. I left the majority of it and went for the frisée instead. My daughter had the leek soup which was tasty. My partner had the chicken which was very good. I don't want to ding them an entire star, because I did enjoy myself, but 4 will give the wrong impression. Try it out and just don't order the salad or maybe have them rub the kale

My friends and I decided to go here as our last dinner together before ending our vacation. The vibe of the restaurant is nice and the tap menu had solid options. And it's in a great location. We ordered our salad and raviolis. I had mentioned my walnut allergy and asked for it to be removed from the ravioli. My partner and I discussed sharing the salad which also came with walnuts. I will take ownership over not having been very clear that we would share the salad so there should be no walnuts. I do not blame our server for that miscommunication. However, the salad arrived with walnuts and I had said I wouldn't have any. My friend then pulled out her phone's flashlight (it's a nicely dimly lit environment) to see if there were any parts of the salad that I might be able to eat. As her phone was shining very brightly on the salad we both saw immediately that there was a long hair embedded midway down into the salad. I called our server over and explained that we found the hair. He then put his hands into the salad and pulled the long piece of hair out. And immediately began to tell us that there is no staff in the kitchen that has this hair color or length. And he didn't just say it once. He stated that he would have everyone from the kitchen come out to prove it to us that it wasn't anyone from the kitchen. He was implying that it was my partner's hair because it was blondish. But the hair was embedded deep into the salad so there's no way it was hers. The way he handled this entire interaction was unprofessional. He said that he would discount the salad, which seems like a given, but acted like it was some heroic effort. He didn't offer to bring a fresh salad or even to bring a menu again for us to re-review our food options. Unfortunately, this encounter escalated into a fight between him and my friends. We walked away feeling like we were trying to scam their system for a free salad. We were staying at the Fairmont Chateau down the street so I can assure you we weren't fishing for a free meal. And to add insult to injury the check arrived and he included "hair on the salad" right in bill. This entire experience left a sour taste to the end of our trip. This place has potential but it sadly wasn't our experience.

Happy hour at the Brickworks is among my favorite stops in Whistler! The Gin is great and atmosphere is warm!

The Brickworks has become my first must go to spit in Whistler! The Gin drinks are quite delightful and the food is delicious! The atmosphere is rustic, warm, and cozy with grea5 music!

The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.
