Nothing short of a WOW. Everything looked absolutely fabulous and made it very hard to choose. Thank goodness I was only visiting or I would be there EVERY DAY. The raspberry scone we tried was TO DIE FOR. Best scone I have had in my entire life and I will now be spoiled for scones forever. Moist but crumbly, buttery, rich and the raspberry comes through. It actually tastes as good as it looks. It would be a travesty to visit Whistler and not try this shop. Go early as things sell out. RUN.
We needed a quick on-the-go coffee, snack, small breakfast so we checked out this place! - Bacon & Cheddar scone (5/5): this was moist, flavorful burst of cheddar with bacon bits and chives all in a bite! Loved it and debated getting another one soon after - Apple Jack (5/5): I don't have too much of a sweet tooth but this was a very nice treat! The apple slices were juicy and the bread / biscuit was soft. Not crumbly which is a win in my books! - Chocolate Cupcake with cream frosting on top (5/5) as my kiddo demolished it without us trying...that should definitely say something about the taste! - Iced Latte (5/5): always a good pick me up, especially on a sunny day! Service was fast and staff were super friendly (and patient). The cafe was cute with a few tables inside and out. On a nice day sitting by the lawn enjoying your drink and eateries is such a perk! Overall we enjoyed our time eating the baked goods here!
If you're in whistler village, come try the baked goods at this place! Good variety, good prices, and the baked goods are delicious! My favorite that we got was the almond chocolate croissant, it was flaky and flavorful. The blueberry lemon basil scone was nicely flavored, the cookies and cream loaf was dense and rich, and the cauliflower curry pie had good flavor and lovely pastry. Service was friendly, lots of people in line but it moved pretty quickly.
Last time I went to Pure Bread in Mt pleasant, I had a really nice experience so I went the one in Whistler for the first time. The cup cake that I got was $7.50. The price would be okay if it was good... but no. The sponge was soggy and the icing was way too sweet.... Two small non tasty cupcake for 15 bucks! I wont be going back:(
You cannot visit Whistler Village without stopping by Purebread. Our first day, we got really lucky and there was no line when we arrived around 10:00 am on Wednesday. Their pastry display is so beautiful. There are so many choices that it can be overwhelming. The person who helped us said that they're known for their scones. So we decided to try the blueberry lemon scone and the bacon chive scone. Both of the scones were SO SO SO delicious. We also got lattes there and their coffee is also really good. We had such a good experience the first day that we decided to go back the next day. There was a line this time, but it was definitely worth the wait. This time, we tried the egg and cheese brioche, raspberry and white chocolate scone, peach tarte, and giant chocolate chip cookie. Again, everything was wonderful. You really cannot go wrong with anything at Purebread. I would eat here everyday if we had one by us at home.
Oh my goodness! No wonder there is always a line out of the door at this bakery as soon as it opens. This bakery was our favorite spot to eat in the morning in the village. The baked goodies are all made fresh daily and sold within the day. We made sure to arrive a couple of minutes before they opened before there was a long line. When they opened the doors, you could smell all of the fresh baked goodies right away. This place had mountains upon mountains of their baked goodies. We had a bunch of sweet treats here; apple tart, chocolate almond croissant, almond croissant, maple apple bar, espresso chocolate bar, carrot whoopie, carrot loaf, peaches & cream scone, ham & cheese croissant, and finally the bacon/cheddar/chive scone. I promise we did not order all of these at once, it was through a couple of days. Each sweet treat melted in your mouth and they were all equally delicious. My favorite was the espresso chocolate bar and my husbands was the maple apple bar. We will definitely stop at this place if we ever come back to visit!
Purebread was absolutely delicious!!! They have a wide variety of options, so everyone will have options! We chose primarily vegan pastries (chocolate texas cake and the raspberry scone). The chocolate cake was nothing short of decadent. It was fudgy and delicious! The raspberry scone was also delicious. I loved the crunchier parts while my mom loved the middle. All of the employees were very kind and helpful even though there was a long line. There are only a few small tables to sit at, so you may not have a place to sit and enjoy your treat.
Wow wow wow! Their baked goods are top notch! Get the jalapeño cheddar scone and thank me later. 10/10.
This is a fantastic bakery and café in Whistler, perfect for grabbing sweet treats and a latte. It's a popular spot, so you might have to wait in line, but it's definitely worth it! I tried the raspberry white chocolate scone and an oat milk latte, and both were absolutely delicious. While there isn't much indoor seating, the shop is conveniently located right outside Whistler Olympic Plaza, which has a large grassy area and plenty of outdoor seating nearby. If the weather's nice, it's the perfect place to enjoy your treats outside. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Whistler or if you're in Vancouver, as they have several locations there too!
I have mixed feelings about this place. The pastries were delicious but the service was subpar. We ordered a morning glories, a bacon and egg brioche, a flourless brownie, and a chocolate croissant, along with a cappuccino, latte, and two kids hot chocolates. The line took over 30 minutes, and waiting for the coffee took another 15. It would have been nice if there was someone taking coffee orders sooner so you didn't have to wait any longer....By the time I got my coffee, my brioche was cold. The staff was also not as friendly as I would expect - they were also kind of cold. Also, because of how the register is set up, combined with the long line, I couldn't see all the pastries until it was time to order, which I had to do fast and made for last minute decisions. I'd suggest this place if the line was short, the pastries were amazing (coffee was ok) but I'll skip next time if there is one.
Wow. This well exceeded my expectations. Not only was the staff super helpful every treat I tried was 10/10. I go to bakeries a lot and I feel like I'm never blown away like I was here. Try out the chocolate chip cookie filled with a dark chocolate ganache to start.
Was so pumped for this bakery from the reviews and even more so when we walked in and saw the insane display of treats! We walked out with a slice of carrot cake, the lemon, blueberry scone, and sour cherry, buckwheat, scone. A few hours later, much to our dismay, we discovered the scones were quite dry. The lemon blueberry scone had little lemon or blueberry flavor. The flavor of the buckwheat sour cherry scone was quite nice, but the scone itself again, was dry. The carrot cake slice was also really lacking in flavor so much that we ended up throwing some of it away. Maybe it was a fluke based on the items we selected, but I will be thinking twice about visiting again. The service was ok but not friendly. It's a small shop, really just for takeaway.
The ooey gooey chocolate chip bar at Purebread was so good that I went back a few days later specifically to get another one. Rich, buttery, and packed with chocolate chips and perfectly gooey in the middle, with those irresistible crispier edges. It reminded me of Starbucks' fudge oat bar, but better, richer, and more indulgent. Purebread is a Whistler institution and the line up at the village location makes sense once you see the selection. Would absolutely wait in line again. read more
stopped by purebread twice during the week, and it was interesting to see how different the experience could be depending on the day and time. there are two purebread locations in whistler, the village location right by olympic plaza and the original location down in function junction. the bakery started with mark and paula lamming selling their homemade baking at the whistler farmers' market before opening their first storefront in function junction in 2010. since then, it's grown from a small local bakery into a well known bc brand, with a huge rotating selection of sweet and savoury baked goods. and there's a lot more than croissants here. purebread is known for its ever changing selection of scones, cookies, brownies and dessert bars, savoury pastries, pies, toasties, cakes and breads, so there's usually plenty to tempt you even if your first and second choice is sold out. on friday, we stopped by before 11:30 am and there was already a line up, but thankfully the wait wasn't too bad. we picked up an ooey gooey chocolate chip bar and a chocolate almond croissant, both very solid choices. by comparison, a late monday afternoon visit had no line up at all, which was a completely different experience from the weekend crowds that can stretch right out the door. the catch with coming later in the day? there weren't any croissants left. there were also quite a few flies hovering over the baked goods, which wasn't ideal, but otherwise it was an easy stop for a pastry and coffee in the village. definitely worth going earlier if you're after the popular pastries, especially the croissants. the monday afternoon visit was great for skipping the line, but the friday morning stop proved that sometimes the line is there for a reason. read more

Amazing selection of pastries! Both sweet and savory options. Coffee selection was a little limited as they don't have flavor syrups or teas. Be aware the lines can be long but move pretty quickly. Forgot to take a picture of my scone before I started eating it. But it was so good read more

You guys! The selection here is unreal with so many unique flavor combinations, pastries desserts and sandwiches that there will be something that you will absolutely love love love. I got the Oreo loaf, Lemon coconut baby cake and a savory sandwich. Staff was pleasant but be ready for a line out the door. I sat and had a long lunch and it was consistently busy so you definitely had to wait to order. Not much interior seating but you can grab and go as there are plenty of these covered table pods right outside. Not Pure Bread but Whistler Village seating. read more

We had the blueberry basil lemon scones, chilli cheddar cornbread and chocolate almond croissant. The best item was the chocolate almond croissant. The croissant was flakey and the filling wasn't too sweet. I would definitely order that again. The other two items we had weren't particularly outstanding. You can also ask for your items to be heated up (which we probably should've done for the cornbread). All of the pastry items were a bit drier than expected. There wasn't much of a line when we arrived but at one point the line was put the door. The staff move quickly though so there's never too long a wait. There is limited seating, however, so most people take their orders to go. read more
We went for a drive to Whistler on Monday for my husband's birthday. We did not make any restaurant reservations and did not check out which ones to visit ahead of time. We were just going to spend the day wandering around and what spoke to us at the time. We parked in Lot 2, walked though Village North and Village Centre. We saw Purebread while walking through Village North and remembered how good the goodies we had were over a year ago at their location in Gastown Vancouver. Purebread it was for breakfast. The line wasn't too long except we had to wait for a family of four right in front of us darting back and forth along the the pastry counter to decide on what they wanted while NOT remembering the vegan options that had just been told to them by the insanely patient employees behind the counter waiting on them. We were quick. Everything was right there on the counter with description. My husband had a flourless brownie and I ordered the expresso mocha loaf. I have to admit that I ordered the loaf because the thick layer of butter cream icing on one side of the loaf. I was in heaven as soon as I bit into it. The butter cream icing was dense, rich and slightly salty with butter flavour! The whole piece was dusted with chocolate powder. I could have just eaten the icing and be done but I did need the sinfully fluffy but rich bread to go with the butter cream. I felt like I was eating a piece of cake the whole time! read more
If you can walk into Purebread and hold back your temptation to buy at least one thing in sight then you're stronger than I am because my brother and I walked in just to check it out and left with a dozen different things to try (sorry they didn't all get pics) but it was all very good and definitely worth stopping by to try. If you like desserts or baked goods that aren't too sweet this is the place for you. read more
Loved the pastries! Got here right when they opened and it was still a bit busy but for a good reason! Their pastries look, smell, and taste delicious. The first day, I got the lemon blueberry basil scone and egg brioche. The second day, I got the chocolate almond croissant and bacon scone. All of them were delicious. The portions are massive so you can easily share with another person or have left overs for later! Highly recommend this place before you hit the slopes. read more
I heard good things about this place so i was excited to give it a try. There were many sweet and savory options to choose from. We ordered Nutella brioche, brownie, chocolate pecan bar, chili cheddar corn bread and a sandwich. I loved the chocolate pecan bar. The rest was good too. I tried to order a latte but they didn't have any flavor latte. There wasn't a long line. The price was reasonable for the area. There were a few tables for indoor dining. The line was to the door. It's popular for a reason. Ordered a bacon, cheese, and chive scone, as well as a "nutter butter" which is between a cookie/whoopie pie with filling in between, and a Nutella cookie. Wish I could try one of everything. The service was friendly. Although there were a TON of people inside, too, the volume of voices wasn't loud. read more

Best pastries and bread in Whistler, a bit at the outskirts of the village but so worth the walk. When we are here we make that walk even in the cold and snow, well worth it! If there was one thing to fix, open up 30' earlier!! read more
