An absolutely fantastic cafe with friendly baristas, delicious espresso, and a cozy atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience is that there is not much seating available, however the quality of their coffee is more than enough to compensate! My wife and I love starting out our Whistler days here whenever we are in town, and I'm sure you would as well. I highly recommend this tiny little friendly spot!

    Orange Cardamom Hot Chocolate

Very cute outdoor boutique/coffee shop hybrid. The shop portion sells sustainable clothing and outdoor gear options, and is arranged very aesthetically. The COVID protocols are good, with hand sanitizer being offered and seating outdoors and spaced out. The Orange Cardamom Hot Chocolate comes unsweetened with the option to add sugar to taste, which I appreciated. It seemed like an interesting option and it lived up to expectations, tasting like a spiced terry's chocolate orange.

    Avocado toast (vegan)

Decent spot for coffee and fancy toasts -- everything vegetarian, some vegan options. We were looking for a quick breakfast spot that is open early, so this place did nicely (opens at 8am). I got an Americano ($3.75), and my wife & I got an avocado toast ($10.50) and hummus & pumpkin seed toast ($9). You get a single piece of very nice artisan bread with each. The hummus was extremely garlicky and the pumpkin seeds were freshly toasted -- a bit salty overall but very solid. The avocado toast was on the tangy/citrusy side, but very fresh. Overall, overpriced as is standard in Whistler, but good stuff for a quick breakfast.

    Nutella latte and double americano

Great coffee, warm atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. We met Dylan who was friendly and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain the nuances of coffee, espresso and generally the science behind a plain cup o Joe

Rising Knead bakery (local) A Pecan chocolate chip cookie to cherish, if for a moment, it's too good!

Cute shop that also serves coffee and toast! Coffee was very good and we are picky. Didn't try the toast but it looked really good.

Loved it and debated getting another one soon after - Apple Jack (5/5): I don't have too much of a sweet tooth but this was a very nice treat! The apple slices were juicy and the bread / biscuit was soft. Not crumbly which is a win in my books! - Chocolate Cupcake with cream frosting on top (5/5) as my kiddo demolished it without us trying...that should definitely say something about the taste! - Iced Latte (5/5): always a good pick me up, especially on a sunny day! We chose primarily vegan pastries (chocolate texas cake and the raspberry scone). The chocolate cake was nothing short of decadent. It was fudgy and delicious! The raspberry scone was also delicious. There are only a few small tables to sit at, so you may not have a place to sit and enjoy your treat.

I am so glad I went with my gut because they were incredible! They came out perfectly hot, nice and crispy, and were tossed in a seriously flavorful sauce that took them to the next level. The space itself has a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your food, along with a super convenient self-serve water station. Definitely a great, lively little spot to kickstart your morning--don't skip the tots!

Another 1 star review for the laptop issue. It's their prerogative to have whatever policy they…read morelike, but they could not have handled it any worse. They have a tiny sign hidden behind the water faucet, so small that I didn't see it in two visits to the place. About 20 minutes in, I was made aware of the no laptop rule and put it off to the side. At this point I hadn't even finished drinking my coffee or eating my pastry. As soon as I was done with them, the same boss lady came over and basically asked me to leave because "there were families looking for a table." She even had the audacity to tell me to "read the room." At this point it had been 42 minutes since I entered the establishment and about a half hour since I received my order. I was seated at the smallest table in the place and not taking up much space at all. It would have been tough for even two people to squeeze in to the table where I was seated. Adding insult to injury, in between my two interactions with the boss, a customer rudely asked when I would be leaving. It took all my strength to politely offer to share the table with her, but she just said she wanted the whole thing to herself. So in the span of about 20-25 minutes I had 3 separate conversations trying to justify my existence at this tiny table. It was unreal and I honestly thought I may have been on some hidden camera television show. This place basically wants to take your money and then rush you out so they can get more people in there. I understand the obvious dollars and cents motivation for this, but it's crass and callous and completely unbecoming of even a small town coffee shop. I travel about 200 days a year and I've been to literally hundreds of terrible coffee shops, but I've never in my life been treated this poorly as a paying customer. Maybe just place a big sign informing everyone of a time limit on how long they can sit. Or at least tell the guy who walks in with a laptop bag and blatantly sets up his laptop that he can't hang out there (like I said I was unaware of the policy so obviously wasn't hiding anything). I would have paid double, even treble, to just be informed in advance so I could patronize a different local business in Whistler and avoid that experience.

Others have said they aren't traditional Aussie pies and I get that if that is your expectation. I always try to appreciate the cafe for their take on the food items. Peaked Pies didn't disappoint. It is a small spot with just a few tables outside and a few tables inside. The eatery gets pretty busy so we felt lucky to get a table inside. They have a lot of choices and we settled on the ones we wanted to try. I went with the veggie pie and added the mushy style peas, mashed potatoes and gravy to the top. Mr. B decided on the Kangaroo pie after talking to the staff. He was a little leary of where the Kangaroo came from, but we were told there is a farm in British Columbia that raises them, so he wanted to try something he had never had. Please see the note below about the kangaroo. There is a correction. The pies came out and were quite large, but we must have been hungry and they were scrumptious we finished them off. Let's start with the veggie pie. It was filled with veggies, carrots, potatoes, onion, corn, celery and yams. The sauce is a coconut milk based sauce and was creamy. The Hopper, with ground kangaroo was lovely. The pie is filled with ground kangaroo, and I mean ground, it was fine meat and stuffed full with a Cabernet Merlot Balsamic Reduction that balanced the sweetness of the meat. The service was great, the staff was nice, and helpful. Great choice. NOTE: I received a correction from the owner of Peaked Pies after posting this review. The Kangaroo is not sourced from British Columbia as we were told. While the food was excellent this was disappointing to hear. Mr. B specifically asked where the kangaroo was sourced as he didn't want frozen and would have ordered something else. I wanted to let you all know I was wrong as we were given inaccurate information from the staff.

We tried a mix of savory and sweet Australian style pies -- chicken mushroom, steak bacon & cheese, steak & mushroom, plus the apple crumble and mixed berry pies -- and every single one hit. We also wanted to try the kangaroo (The Hopper) and spinach & ricotta roll, but will need to return for those. The butter chicken and beef curry looked tempting, too. Extra hungry? Add a topping of mashed potatoes, mushed peas and gravy to your pie! Perfect spot to grab a warm meal after being out in the cold, or even just a quick bite while walking through the village. Simple, satisfying, and done right.

I guess my expectations were a little too high and my eyes ordered more than I should have. Ordered 2 cinnamon rolls and a long John. I was quite disappointed in both. The cinnamon rolls were quite dry and not enough ooey gooey cinnamon, butter and sugar filling. The frosting doesn't quite melt either. It was only when you got to the center was when the cinnamon rolls were soft with filling. The other parts are just dry and flavorless. The long John was also underwhelming. They used the same frosting as the cinnamon rolls inside the long John. I guess I'm used to more of a custard filling. Sadly, I'm still in search of a great cinnamon roll in Whistler.

Inside is cozy and busy. Luckily, we were able to get the last table. This is a counter service restaurant. They will call your name when food is ready. There was no sign but looks like we bus our own table too and place dirty dishes and silverware in a plastic bucket. Although they are famous for their cinnamon buns we opted to try their crêpes and got one each from their sweet and savoury options: "Breakfast" savory crepe which includes egg, Black Forest ham, mozzarella and balsamic glaze. I dunno but it was a bit too salty for my taste. "NSB" for the sweet crepe: Nutella, strawberry, banana, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Now this was yummy! They also offer sandwiches and waffles, croissants, vegan pecan bars, brownies and other sweet treats. The chocolate croissant was warm and delicious.
