Another 1 star review for the laptop issue. It's their prerogative to have whatever policy they like, but they could not have handled it any worse. They have a tiny sign hidden behind the water faucet, so small that I didn't see it in two visits to the place. About 20 minutes in, I was made aware of the no laptop rule and put it off to the side. At this point I hadn't even finished drinking my coffee or eating my pastry. As soon as I was done with them, the same boss lady came over and basically asked me to leave because "there were families looking for a table." She even had the audacity to tell me to "read the room." At this point it had been 42 minutes since I entered the establishment and about a half hour since I received my order. I was seated at the smallest table in the place and not taking up much space at all. It would have been tough for even two people to squeeze in to the table where I was seated. Adding insult to injury, in between my two interactions with the boss, a customer rudely asked when I would be leaving. It took all my strength to politely offer to share the table with her, but she just said she wanted the whole thing to herself. So in the span of about 20-25 minutes I had 3 separate conversations trying to justify my existence at this tiny table. It was unreal and I honestly thought I may have been on some hidden camera television show. This place basically wants to take your money and then rush you out so they can get more people in there. I understand the obvious dollars and cents motivation for this, but it's crass and callous and completely unbecoming of even a small town coffee shop. I travel about 200 days a year and I've been to literally hundreds of terrible coffee shops, but I've never in my life been treated this poorly as a paying customer. Maybe just place a big sign informing everyone of a time limit on how long they can sit. Or at least tell the guy who walks in with a laptop bag and blatantly sets up his laptop that he can't hang out there (like I said I was unaware of the policy so obviously wasn't hiding anything). I would have paid double, even treble, to just be informed in advance so I could patronize a different local business in Whistler and avoid that experience. read more

And staff at cashier made a few mistakes for my order and there were no sweetness in it even though I requested, 3 mini cake trio - Basque cheese cake had rich and bold texture. Delicious. If you want to eat cold and poor quality breakfast, this is the right spot for you. Every item we ordered, including the coffee, was a letdown. We were specifically told the hard-boiled eggs would be served warm, but they arrived ice-cold--so cold our child couldn't even eat them. The breakfast sandwich was good, nice and soft brioche bun, bacon was of a decent quality, egg is prepared easy (which I didn't expect) so it started dripping down my hands as I eat. I eat in, so it would have been nice if they bring fork and knife with the plate. They gave me only 1 napkin but I would need 2 napkins with the eggs dripping down my hands. We come here every year for a mid afternoon coffee and a sweet treat. It never disappoints and the staff is always friendly. You can count on having a good meal. I've had my share of avocado toast and this one takes the cake - the avocado spread, chunks of avocado, fresh dill, thinly sliced radishes and the perfectly fried egg. Happened to see this restaurant driving in and was excited to check it out. The menu is simple and so happy to say the food was delicious!!! The half roast chicken was super moist and flavorful! Huge portion - we had enough leftover for a second meal! And the drippings helped to flavor the potatos which was a favorite of the table. Chicken parmesan sandwich on foccacia was good. Bread could have been a bit more crispy/fluffy/fresh and meat was a little overcooked but was still substantial. Desserts looked amazing but I was so full we didn't try it. After a long day hiking around Whistler, we needed a well deserved break. We stopped at Provisions for an afternoon snack. Lots of sweet treats and drinks options. The interior in very cozy and warm.
