    Waiting for my chicken chunk...
    Mel M.

Drove up from Van hungry for the fried chicken burger I ate here in July! It arrived quickly and after the first few bites I expected the waitress to ask how it was... she didn't. Busy chatting on the phone. 1/2 the burger was raw, like bleeding. When I was finally able to flag her down and point it out, she took the uneaten meat back to the kitchen for inspection. She explained that when the meat is close to the bone it's bloody ( boneless burger btw) I told her I know when chicken is cooked, she replied " so do we". I asked for a take away container and the rest of the chicken that I assumed they were cooking..., she said no, but did I want another piece? It'll be 10 minutes. So here I'm sitting waiting.....

What a hidden gem! Cozy place on a small town in the middle of the mountain valley. The restaurant was spacious, nice bar and dining area, has a good variety of food and drink collections. First time we came for a seafood platter takeout, it was so good that we came here straightly in the second evening for dinner. Their seafood was so fresh! Nicely displayed and simply grilled, drizzled with some salt and lemon juice, DELICIOUS. $38 you get the whole platter, can't find such a good deal like this anywhere else. Both the guy and the lady who served us were friendly. It's sad that I don't know when would be the next time coming to Pemberton, but if I do, this would be the one and only place I go to eat. black bean benedict ($16)

Town Square is a chill spot for brunch in Pemberton. My friend and I came a little after 11:30 on Sunday at the end of October and only a few tables were occupied. They have a great selection of benedicts, so we each got one. My friend had the BB King Benedict ($16), which is a veggie benedict with black beans. We've never seen this type of benedict before and were very curious about it. It was very good and came with a lot of black beans. I got the fried chicken benedict ($19) with the hollandaise on the side, and it was amazing. The fried chicken was fried to a perfect crisp and had plenty of flavor. The crispy potatoes that come on the side were good as well, just a bit bland. Nothing that some salt and ketchup can't fix!

Celiacs dream!!!!!! Dedicated fryer- and no gluten going into the fryer!!! Had poutine and fried cauliflower and a couple desserts. Great local merlot and they have Glutenberg beer as well as many cocktails! They were closed yesterday ( Thursday) so today I popped in and found out it was gluten free heaven! Food is good and so was service! So many safe choices here. What a haven...

The smoked salmon eggs benny had amazing flavor and was served on bannock while the bison burger was probably the best burger I've had in many many years.

The Pony is a great spot to grab dinner or go for drinks in Pemberton…read more My friend and I came for dinner on a Saturday night at 8 pm and the whole place was hopping. This seems to be the place to be on a Saturday night in Pemberton! We snagged one of the last empty tables. They have a large selection of alcohol, from cocktails to beers and wine. I was impressed by the diversity of the food menu as well. Not only do they have standard pub food like burgers and sandwiches, wings, pizza, fish and chips, etc., but they also have a selection of Asian dishes like chow mein and Thai curry. Aside from the standard menu, they also offer daily specials which are written on a blackboard. When we came, they had seafood chowder, Korean pork pizza, and rigatoni pasta on the specials board. We shared the shiitake chow mein with chicken added ($17.50 + $5 for the chicken) and a custom pizza with tomato slices and oregano ($19.50). Both were solid, and we left very full and satisfied. We ended up taking some of the pizza and noodles home as leftovers, as the portions were big, especially for the pizza.

First of all, Pemberton as a whole is ADORABLE and a must visit. Second, The Pony is a rustic and…read moreslightly divey place with no frills, but just tasty food, so head in for a casual meal. It's located next to a bike shop, so go in and peruse, and head next door for some delicious sandwiches. I LOVED my gyro and the poutine was pretty good. But to me, even bad poutine is good, so take that for what it's worth. The burgers are small but stacked, and I liked the pear cider. We did get dessert and while simple, they were pretty good. Service was great, if not a biiiiiiit slow, but we were the first table in there right upon opening, so they were still sort of getting things ready. It was summer, doors were open, and yes there were some flies, but that's kind of what you get in the PNW summers. Don't let it deter you - it's got some gems on the menu.
