    Dirty fries were so good
    Allie C.

My family and I had a great time here. Very fun atmosphere and styling inside the restaurant and on the patio. Amazing dirty fries and I loved the chicken sandwich

Jalapeño burger with upgraded dirty fries. ($7 upgrade well worth it).

Really good food, really slow service. We came on a busy Tuesday evening - around 7:45. The tables were all full. From our perspective, there seemed to be four tables per server? Anyway, there seemed to be a few servers around but we could only be served by one server - we know this because we were unsuccessful in trying to flag down a server when our server wasn't checking in on us (as nice as she was). Estimated timeline: Got seated right away. 8 minutes before taking our drink orders. 8 minutes before we got our drinks. 10-15 minutes before orders were taken. Half an hour for food. No water offered, and it took a while to get the bill even though there were less people. Maybe my timeline is off but we were there for 2 hours and it doesn't take us too long to eat. DESPITE THAT, this place was the bomb. Food was definitely worth the price. My husband loved the union lager (a house tap beer). I had the guava lychee lemonade. My drink tasted good though I do not have a sweet tooth. The burgers were filling and delicious. And the fries were perfectly crisp - ( we usually ask for extra crispy). I highly recommend upgrading to dirty fries. If I were in a foul mood, maybe I'd give it lower stars for the slow service? But the ambiance, the food, and the general kindness of the servers made it worthwhile. Anyway...on vacation, time ain't even a thing! Love this place. Go eat there. :)

This was my first time at Twenty Two Taphouse. I enjoyed my experience but found the service to be slow. I liked the overall look of the place as the furniture was modern and created a fantastic atmosphere. The taphouse lives up to its name, offering a wide variety of beer. I wish that the drink menu had better descriptions of what you were ordering as it was hard to decide on what to get without knowing what kind of flavours you were getting yourself into. The food menu had tons of choices and it was difficult to decide what to get because everything sounded delicious. The food that we ordered (Love Me Tenders, Onion Bhaji and the Beet Poke Bowl) was great and arrived quickly. The Onion Bhaji is a must order item. Super crispy and goes great with a cold beverage. I would definitely be willing to give this place another shot as I think the reason our service was slow was because they were understaffed/training new servers.

My partner and I just arrived in Sechelt from Vancouver for a week vacay now that we can travel BC again and were so happy to see we arrived the same day this taphouse had their big opening! We had to wait about 45 minutes for a seat because they were understaffed so we headed to another spot Batch 44 for a drink while we waited (also a great spot). The beauty of Sechelt is everything is all really close since it's such a quaint town. Our table was ready after two drinks so we headed over and were seated right away. The service was great and Belinis were on a $2 off special so naturally I got two! We ordered the crispy prawns to start and they were so damn good. Flavour was like a light curry and the dipping sauce complemented them perfectly. I ordered the fried chicken burger with fries and my partner had the beyond meat veggie patty with mushroom gravy. What I especially love about this menu is they have a ton of veggie and meat options especially on the share portion which for my partner and I is hard to find sometimes! There were some typos on the menu (bacon on the veggie burg) but realize there are a few kinks they're working through still so no prob. Now onto the chicken, the fried chicken burger had a lovely dill aioli flavour to it and the bun was soft and fresh. There was a great piece of crunchy lettuce and pickle on it too that balanced the flavours. The chicken itself was juicy and I am a BIG fried chicken person so I know. The mushroom gravy poutine was pretty flavourful as well with nice big chunks of cheese curd. I've had a lot of mushroom gravies and this one did not disappoint. Also the portion was so solid for a "side". My partner liked his beyond burger as well. Overall, this new restaurant has done a great job and their patio is stunning! I just hope they hire more staff soon so they can seat all their tables and have less of a line up. The aesthetic on the outside is gorgeous but I would have prob done the inside alittle differently as it feels abit like a Browns which isn't a bad thing just less unique. I would definitely hit up this restaurant again and would highly recommend to locals and anyone travelling through.

Burger was great, although dont order any optional fries offered on the menu, as the base price is the same with fries included, literally %200 more fries for the base price over optional orders. $8 pourtne for example, half the fries..a bit of cheese, and sad excuse for a few green onion toppings *picture of actual dish of poutine for $8 Shouldnt have to download yelp when you eat out. Esp for the cost

The food was a mixed bag, some dishes great, some not so much. The general consensus was the beer wasn't great. But I did enjoy my cocktail! The DJ/emcee for music trivia bingo was a lot of fun. You got to choose your Bingo card. He played songs spanning the decades, but you're also allowed to Shazam. He also walked around, looked at our sheets, and pointed out any songs we may have forgotten to stamp. People from our table one 3 out of 5 prizes given that night! THE DRINKS * Passion fruit fizz - 4.5 stars Lovely thick layer of egg white that gave the drink texture, sharp citrus flavor. Also, props to the staff as my partner ordered the wrong drink for me at first - they let me swap out that wrong order for this drink! * Coast Sour - 3 stars This drink was not for me - too strong, flavors not subtle at all. The beers generally weren't great; a lot of them lacked body and complexity. The best one was the IPA, the worst was the cream ale. THE FOOD * Bayou Bite - 4.5 stars The bun & slaw were good, and we liked the bbq sauce. The breading had a great crunch but we had 2 thinner slices which leads to less juicy chicken and too much breading. * Beer Battered Cod Batch Soft Tacos - 4 stars The fish tasted very fresh, with a nice balanced thin layer of breading and lots of toppings that worked well. Don't let it sit too long or it could get pretty soggy. * Nachos - 1-2 stars I didn't try this or get a photo, but my friend said this was pretty bad.

The location is fantastic--right across from the water, making it a great place to grab a bite and enjoy the views. What I liked most was that they offer much more than just ice cream. There were plenty of food options, including salads, pastries, and sandwiches. We initially came for the ice cream and ended up trying a few other things as well. The ice cream had some unique flavors, and I chose one with caramel, which I really enjoyed. The scoop size was very generous, and the staff member helping us was incredibly sweet and friendly. We also tried a pesto salad, which was fresh and tasty. I had a sparkling wine as well, though I can't really judge it fairly since I'm not much of a wine drinker. Overall, this is a great spot for food, desserts, and waterfront views. I'd especially recommend grabbing something to go and enjoying it by the water during sunset. Definitely a place I'd visit again.

The service was incredibly kind and attentive, and the coffee was great. That said, the food fell short for us. The Hangover Cure was essentially a large bowl of potato wedges...not quite what we expected from the name. The taco salad had a beautiful presentation, but didn't fully deliver on flavor. The chilaquiles were basically dry nachos with very little sauce, and didn't capture the richness or texture I usually associate with the dish. We also ordered the breakfast burger without bacon, and were surprised to find there wasn't any sort of patty or protein substitute...it was just eggs and veggies. It would've been helpful if that had been made clear when ordering. Overall, I really wanted to love this spot because the energy and staff were lovely, but the food didn't quite match the atmosphere. Still worth checking out for coffee, snacks, and the fun shop section!

We decided to share the fish and chips and I quite liked it. The batter was crispy and the fish was fresh. The coleslaw had a curry taste? Not what I was used to. Six years later my wife and I decided to try again. Me: I was here years ago and I found the dish I ate too sweet. Is it possible to get my food without sugar? Sweet Waitress What was the dish? Me: I think it was Butter Chicken Sweet: There's no sugar in our Butter Chicken. It's made with tomato paste, ketchup... Me: (after she had finished listing ingredients.) Ketchup is almost pure sugar. I've been eating Indian cuisine for the large part of two centuries and in many cities on two continents. I cook northern and southern Indian dishes. I've taken classes, have several cookbooks and subscribe to the better you tube channels (I recommend Swasthi's.) Ketchup is not an ingredient in Indian food. I asked if there was ketchup in several other dishes and was basically told that the Korma was my best and only choice. There was ketchup even in the tandoori chicken. (There is an exception. There is a little chopped onion salad that is often made with either tomato chutney or ketchup.) Korma is a light sauce usually made with yoghurt and maybe a little cream. This was thickened with flour. So much flour that it reminded me of the time I tasted the paste in nursery school. The best word to describe it is "glop." To the many people who wrote rave reviews I beg you to take the ferry to the city and go to one of the many fabulous Indian restaurants there. Swad in West Vancouver is closest and the best. Vij's is amazing but very pricey. Sula and East is East are both terrific and you will pay the same as Saffron, maybe a tad less. My wife had the dahl. A lentil dish. It had a very strong flavour of...you guessed it---ketchup. We asked and, yes, it was, in fact, ketchup. The service was lovely. The naan bread was very good. Neither of them contained ketchup.
