I ordered 2 Pad Thai and 2 wonton soups from Ty's Fine Foods around 4:30 today. I had $100 in gift cards that I purchased from a silent auction. The date on the cards says October 23, 2019 (obviously I didn't have them until later than that). When questioned about them, I explained that I hadn't been eating in restaurants due to respiratory issues/Covid, and now I've just returned from 7.5 months away at school. Lily refused to honour the cards and said no one ever paid for them and I should take it up with the charity I bought them from. I called her from outside to allow her a chance to make it right. I calmly said that I have lived in the Coast for decades, and that I was a customer in the past, and I have been away at school since July, but that I won't be a customer in the future. Rather than try to make things right, she would rather lose business and throw my order in the garbage because she hung up in my ear. read more
