We came here for the view. It was a beautiful clear day and we got a table outside by the river. It was very windy. The view of Squamish river was very relaxing. We were not very hungry so we didn't get any food. We got drinks and it was nice to just chill. Friendly servers. Limited parking spaces by the restaurant but we managed to find a spot across the road. read more

We made a quick pit stop here after rafting. This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal with beautiful riverfront views and a relaxed atmosphere. The setting is one of the highlights, with outdoor seating overlooking the water and surrounding mountains, making it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring the area. We ordered the Caesar salad with salmon, yam fries, and the baked Brie appetizer, and they were all excellent. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, with perfectly cooked salmon that complemented it well. The yam fries were crispy and delicious, and the baked Brie was a standout appetizer that was rich, warm, and very satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, The Watershed Grill is a great choice for both locals and visitors looking for good food, excellent service, and a stunning Squamish setting. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

Nice grill with a river front view. We got outdoor seating on a nice day, though slightly windy. From our table you could see the river and eagles if they were there. Food is decent. My daughter ordered chicken pot pie with side of soup. It was tomato soup home made which is great, very hearty. The chicken pot pie comes really hot and has the classic top crust done very well and is very hearty. I ordered truffle mushroom linguine and it was decent. Nice sauce, creamy, very hearty and satisfying. Decent place to stop by if you're in Squamish. read more

Best yam fries I've ever had! Also loved the superduper Caesar drink. Tofu bites were delicious also. Lovely outdoor seating. Absolutely wonderful server that gave us great local advice. read more

Amazing place for lunch! Right on the water so there's a nice view. Only a few parking spots outside the restaurant but there is street parking and a lot across the street and down a bit (not the farm parking lot). Friendly, really pleasant service. We had the salmon burger which was well cooked and flavorful, the fish and chips which were super crispy on the outside and really tender and flaky on the inside, roasted tomato soup which was very flavorful and creamy, and yam fries which were tasty although maybe a bit under crisped. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. A perfect post hike lunch spot! read more

If you like tomato bisque, this one has an incredible offering! Lots of other vegetarian options too, including agadashi tofu, which is a surprising find for a non-Japanese menu. The service is super friendly and the views of the river in the back can't be beat. A great place for big groups on a lazy summer afternoon. Definitely appreciated taking a sunset walk along the river after dinner. Beautiful! read more

Went to the Watershed Grill because we read it is the location of Jacks bar from our favorite cheesy show Virgin River and ended up having one of the best meals of our whole trip! Well, of course we had to stop in twice while we were on vacation in Squamish to take in the local vibes and the beautiful scenery after a hike on the government road around the Squamish River. Chill, laid-back, fun , great views and they have great food. What a combo! We started with one of their delicious bloody Caesars, perfectly spiced and fresh. Next, we had their mussel bowl served with amazing crunchy buttery garlic bread which was delicious dipped into the creamy mussel broth, yum! Actually, the whole menu was very enticing with a great selection of burgers, fries, salads and desserts ( the fresh & hot mini cinnamon sugar donuts with whipped cream are calling my name ) Next time I'm in Brakendale it's my first stop. read more

Immediately friendly service and super attentive without being pushy. The server even helped me find a great breakfast spot for the next day because I told her I had to get up extra early! I ordered a bunless burger and the portion was still very substantive. I couldn't finish it all! The Burger patty was juicy with crispy bacon. It a nice rustic low key place to hang out. I would come back with friends! read more

Consistently Poor Service - Avoid This was my fourth visit, and the third time something went wrong. Today's experience was particularly frustrating. Our waitress was distracted throughout the meal, missed parts of our order, and failed to deliver items to the table after we paid the bill. We waited 30 minutes for desserts that never came. When we asked about them, she said she had punched them in but guessed the kitchen ran out of paper and never got the order. She then attempted to charge us a second time for a bill we had already paid. Over my last four visits, three have involved the server forgetting to put orders in entirely, leaving you waiting with no idea anything is wrong. When you finally ask about your food, you get some excuse with zero accountability. The service here is consistently poor and I would not recommend it. read more

I went on Victoria day where it was pretty busy, about 20 mins wait. I enjoyed the food and service was good.

Great location on the river and friendly service. Parking is not easy during busy times and the waitstaff gets swamped but they are cheery. Food is hot and fresh. read more

The staff was so friendly and inviting! Rosie was our waitress and she was amazing! The burgers we had were the probably the best we have ever had! Will definitely be going here again the next time we visit Canada! Loved the scenery! I chose this place because it's Jack's Bar on Virgin River...well the exterior is anyways. We came and were excited to return for our second time. This was a disastrous experience. The didn't put our number on the order, lost the food, and after over 35 minutes of waiting we asked about our food. Somehow, now it was ready in a minute. The wait was ridiculous and excused as to why. The food is slightly better than average the wait is way too long. Being in the service business I will never return. read more

Excellent service and unbelievable views. Unique location next to river. Featured on Netflix show Virgin River

We absolutely loved this place! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was some of the best I had during my time in Canada, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. I'd go back in a heartbeat--100% recommend! Great spot located on the river so the setting is lovely. Parking is across the road, down just a bit, but not too far away even on a cool evening. Service was good, we sat in back area and I imagine during the warmer months this would be a perfect place to linger over dinner while enjoying the view. We had a couple of the local draft beers which were great. Husband had the fish & chips which was fresh and good. I went with the Salmon burger and subbed the salad for the fries. I enjoyed both tremendously! If I were a local I can see this being our regular spot! read more

Yes, I am a Virgin River fan and went looking for Jack's Bar...found it here at The Watershed Grill and so glad we did. It sits along the Squamish River---a beautiful view from anywhere in the restaurant and relaxes you as soon as you get there. I am giving this place 5 stars for their food and their service. First, they have a very diverse menu. Canadian staples, a few Japanese items, and then just great down home offerings. You also have the opportunity to do Happy Hour every day: I ordered the burger with fries and had some tomato soup on the side. The burger was cooked perfectly--just slightly pink on the inside, well seasoned, and juicy. They add a house made sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and bacon at no extra cost. It was really good. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The tomato soup was delicious as well---not acidic, small tomato chunks, and lots of cheese. Our server was present and quick and really took ownership. I'm glad that Virgin River brought me here, but this place definitely doesn't need a tv show to keep its customers coming back. read more

We went to this place on our way to Whistler, after reading the reviews and also my wife who had seen the Virgin River show on Netflix wanted to go there. It is off the main road right next to the river, great serene place with great burger and super friendly staff. Fantastic restaurant with amazing views. This quaint little restaurant placed on a riverbed was buzzing when I walked in on a Friday afternoon. Considering how busy the place was they were very enthusiastic about sitting a party of 15! Super accommodating and did everything to make our big bunch of people aging 70 years to 3 months comfortable. The food is absolutely divine! You cannot go wrong with anything that u order. We ended up having almost everything on the menu tomato soup, green coconut curry, burgers, fish and chips, pasta, sea food linguine, baked Brie, gyoza, all mix of veg and non veg was absolutely delicious. We wished we had 2-3 stomachs to eat it up all. The service was very attentive and absolutely courteous. 100 points there. Oh you know the best part?? It's the eagle watching area and while your savouring your delicious meal, you have a breathtaking view with bald eagles on trees!! Straight out of a documentary!! If you are in or around Squamish needless to say this place is not to be missed! read more

Park across the street and use the river walk to get to The Watershed Grill. Along the way, take it the gorgeous teal colored Squamish river, if you wait a second, you may even spot a bald eagle or a seal playing against the current. The Watershed Grill sits alongside the river, has stunning views and feels like a 'locals' spot. Ellie was super friendly and looked after us. Don't come here if you're time conscious or in a rush, but do come here to take it easy, enjoy some food/drink and views. We dined on the baked brie (as a main) and the salmon burger with yam fries and homemade tartar sauce. If you're into cheese and bread, the baked brie is where it's at. It comes with roasted garlic and onion jam and to add some freshness, a salad of mixed greens. This was everything, melted cheese paired so well that I didn't even feel guilty about it. The salmon burger was nice! I think we both made wise food choices. read more

We stopped by here on our way back to the city and wow was it worth the slight detour. Apparently this was the first day the restaurant had reopened after shutting down for COVID-19 but we were so impressed with our whole experience. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and seemed well trained to ensure the highest level of customer safety and health. I appreciated how open the staff was about their new protcols and measures they were taking to remain compliant. With that aside, the food, drinks, view, and atmosphere was all fantastic. I am not a caesars cocktail fan at all, but I actually loved it. I was so impressed a cocktail could have so much flavor and spicy it was so scrumptious! All of our burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. My boyfriend and I got the yam fries and house salad as our sides to split and they were both fantastic. I loved how crispy the fries were while accompanied with a yummy aioli sauce. The salad was fresh with the perfect amount of balsamic dressing. I highly recommend this place and it is a must if you are passing through! read more

Service and views were great, the food was good too, the salads and salmon were tasty. Very fun vibes.

Good food. Good service. Great location. Everything was great!!! Was recommended by our white water rafting tour guide as his favorite place. Seemed more locale clientele than touristy despite its Virgin River connection. But it stands alone on its own. 100% would go back. read more

Beautiful views, but the service leaves much to be desired. It's pretty slow. Not to mention, they have gluten free buns for burgers but the beef patties themselves are not gluten free? Makes no sense to me. Our server scolded us for not being clear that we had someone in our party has Celiac's, when we did. Luckily, they rushed her updated order so we didn't have to wait another hour for food. The yam fries are bomb. read more
