    Happy hour oysters
    Sarah T.

Friends and I came here to grab a bite to eat after a big ski day at Whistler. Our table gravitated towards their happy hour menu and ordered oysters and dirty fries. My friends also ordered their sliders and seafood poboy off of the happy hour menu (not pictured). I decided I wanted their lobster roll (not on their happy hour menu). I will say the lobster roll was a disappointment in my opinion. It came out shredded and didn't taste fresh, my preference are lobster chunks and it actually tasting like lobster but I found their roll to be a bit fishy. However, everything else we ordered was great! Dirty fries were a highlight, more oysters were ordered and service was great! Overall, great experience but I'd pass on their lobster roll.

    Happy hour oysters and poutine

Excellent portions (especially for happy hour) for an excellent price. Oysters were fresh, and fries were crispy and flavourful. They make their own gravy for the poutine. Service was pretty good and if you arrive early enough, you can get a table with a great view of the mountains

    Chorizo Hash

We stayed at the Executive Suites Squamish hotel and got to enjoy both their happy hour and breakfast--and everything we tried was fantastic! During happy hour, we had half-shell oysters, po' boy, chicken sliders, and my favorite: the crispy veggies. For breakfast, we tried the eggs benedict and chorizo hash, and both were delicious. The service was excellent--attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was also very nice. Would definitely recommend dining here!

We waited 1.5hr to be served our food with only 3 other people ahead of us waiting for their food. The place was empty and only 3 plates were served at a time to each of us. The fruit portion was just two VERY thin apple slices and one grape for the food decor on each plate! The food portions were the smallest I've ever seen for diner food options. We had to wait so long that we had to go down to the coffee shop down a few stores to get lattes and pastries (Sunflower Bakery & Cafe I recommend hands down) while we waited. The server had an attitude and was the only person taking the orders and busing the tables (the dishes from other tables were not picked up). Yes one person managing the customers but I honestly felt she had time to pick up the dishes around other tables and ask if we needed any coffee or water. There were no other customers after us that came in. The few that did walk in were told the restaurant was closed. There was one syrup container and that my son had to ask to barrow from the other table still finishing up the meal. The potatoes on our plate seemed like they were from a frozen bag and reheated on a pan, no taste or seasoning on them. Sausages were not seasoned and no flavor to them. The pictures on the previous reviews do not compare or come close to what we were served. The food did not make any of us sick and the restaurant was clean that is the only reason this restaurant is getting two stars on my review. Would I ever come here, Absolutely NEVER! Go to Sunflower Bakery & Cafe they serve you delicious coffees and amazing pastries and other breakfast items!

We scanned the menu which included typical breakfast options such as eggs, bacon, ham and sausage, breakfast sandwiches as well as omelettes. I unfortunately have a gluten allergy (celiac) and asked the server if they had gluten free toast (which they have but do not offer it on the menu). The hash-browns unfortunately are tossed in flour before deep frying (which was not listed on the menu) so I was given the alternative to have French fries (which were fried in the same oil) and I didn't necessarily want French fries for breakfast. When the food arrived my brother in laws breakfast sandwich smelt and tasted sour. It was the ham that was on the sandwich so he did not finish the sandwich. My eggs were cooked fine, but definitely at their expiration date. We are travelling from Ontario and have eaten so many amazing meals while visiting and this one did not meet the expectations that we have. Hopefully this will help the owners and staff to make the improvements they so desperately need moving forward.

The biscuit was perfect--buttery, fluffy, and nicely crusty on the outside. The hollandaise was also quite good. However, the eggs were a bit overcooked for my preference; the whites were solid and the yolks were mostly set rather than runny. Overall, it was a very flavorful meal, and I will definitely return when I'm back on the Sunshine Coast
