Truly one of the BEST brisket baguette and just I've ever had. They neither compromised on the quality or quantity. Everything was so flavourful, even the fries! I LOVeD every bite! Hubby ordered the fisherman's benedict. And since he's an expert in seafood (it's his career), he wasn't the biggest fan of the albacore tataki or the biscuit. I will start off by saying... this place is definitely worth the hype. You have to be patient because the wait is typically 45min to 1hr but it's so worth it. You can explore the property and it's beyond gorgeous. The staff were all so sweet and welcoming! The property is beautiful, dogs and children have a place to run around and play, they have a small green house store on property, and a little truck to buy coffee and beverages. Cozy little cafe tucked in the woods. Seatings and tables are mostly outdoor with cover so it was a little chilly today. They are attentive and have blankets available. Dog friendly! Bring your pup before a hike! Food was delicious and generous portion. We had to wait for 35 minutes in line, but it was mostly to spread out the guests and not overwhelm the kitchen. Although a little further off the main roads, this gem is in its own little corner of Squamish and the rush of the river adds a nice charm to this cafe. Everyone RAVED about this place so we had really high expectations and while they were met, we weren't BLOWWWWWN AWAY (to the point where I would still think of the dishes). Great service and food after a morning photographing eagles and landscapes in the cold. We beat the rush for Lunch so had minimal wait time. It 's been 7 years since my last review and we stop here (just about) every year on our way home from Whistler-Blackcomb - it has become tradition. I found Fergie's the first year off of Yelp and we've been able to see it grow and flourish. It is now far from the humble little cottage with a small dining area that we first experienced. They now have a modern, 2-story structure with exposed steel beams and Squamish-fitting decor. They also have a cozy annex for extra seating with a wood stove, adjacent sofas, and plenty of tables. When you arrive on a busy weekend day like we did, you get on the list and are then free to explore. They have a little playground for the kids. An excellent phone experience shows you your approximate wait and place in line. We waited about an hour. The wait staff are friendly, genuine, and helpful. We're always seated with a smile, promptly served pitchers of water, and asked about more interesting drink options. Although the menu varies, we come here for the eggs Benedict where they are conceived with creativity - it is hard to just choose one. My spouse and each pick one we know each other would like and swap plates half way through. I'd like to add that the prices aren't really all that crazy for how nice a restaurant it is. When you drive by this place you won't think this is at all a sit down restaurant. Once you're in and see the signs you'll get guided to the upstairs or downstairs areas that do provide great views. This cafe and space was a pleasant surprise to experience since my 16 year old pup Fergie passed away recently. The wait to be seated was about 45 minutes, but there are things to do on the property to pass the time like order a drink at the little Airbus cafe, visit the greenhouse merch store, or play on the playground. For a party of 3 we ordered a lot, maybe too much food since we had leftovers of everything but it was all delicious. For drinks we ordered the Chai Latte, Vegan Hot Chocolate, and Fergie's Hot Chocolate. This Chai Latte was probably the best that I've ever had in my life, it was so fragrant and smooth. The Vegan Hot Chocolate and Fergie's Hot Chocolate were sweet and decadent, but didn't quite pair well with the food so I chugged it all in the beginning. The first dish to come out was the soup of the day: Oxtail Soup drizzled with cream, and it came with 2 slices of sourdough bread. We devoured this since we were all pretty hungry. What I like to call "the Ferg Burger" (Bison and Pork Smash Burger) and Black Pudding (like a pan fried blood sausage) came out next, along with the Smoked Duck Cassoulet (resembled stuffing but it had crunchy bits), King Oyster Mushroom Karaage (was too sweet for my liking), and last was the Brioche French Toast (the candied walnuts gave variety to the texture). My favorite was the Ferg Burger, it was cooked to perfection, had a lot of flavor, and overall a solid burger. I was hoping for more flavor in the Smoked Duck Cassoulet but to me it was a bit bland. Would probably skip the King Oyster Mushroom Karaage since the sauce drizzled on it is like a sweet chili sauce, it was too sweet for my preference, I was hoping it would be served as a savory dish with the sauce on the side to dip. This is definitely a place where everything is made to order, and you take your time eating and enjoying the view and crisp air. I would definitely come back to show my friends this space. We have friends who recommended we come try this place out for brunch, you sit outside and you can bring your dog. We have been sick as dogs while housesitting in Squamish and so as this was our last day, we made ourselves go, so atleast we could say we did something! We arrived around 1pm and waited for around 45 mins to be seated. I hear that this is typical. They stop allowing people to line up in queue by 2pm, so keep that in mind. My sense of taste is off, so I ordered the beef short rib Benny with carmelized onions, chimichurri and hollandaise! That would have to make me taste something! My husband ordered the Pacific Benny which came with smoked trout, poached eggs, everything bagel seasoning on a biscuit. Everything was delicious.....I think haha My short rib was delicious and tender, it was on the sweeter side, and along with the baked yams, it might have been a bit too sweet. They give you 2 pieces of delicious warm naan bread to go with it, but I think it wasn't enough. Maybe having it with a biscuit would help cut the sweetness. But all in all, still delicious. I wouldn't say it's worth $27 and so for next time, I'll try something else. It was nice to sit outside, some of the tables get hot, as some have umbrellas and some don't. So wear your sunscreen! What an amazing spot! Not only is it set in a beautiful area in the woods, but the grounds are lovely to walk around while you wait for your table. You don't even mind that you might have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for your table because you can go and check out the river or check out the cute little shop at the edge of the property or even grab a coffee from their little food truck. They are such a well oiled machine for getting your name on the list and texting you when your table is ready. The servers are efficient and knowledgeable. They have a lot of different areas to sit. We got to sit in the area that has the cute little fireplace and a cabin vibe. But there are also lovely spots outside too. We tried the eggs Benedict that had the pulled braised beef, ribs, and these delicious roasted squash bites. We also tried the steelhead trout eggs Benedict that was my personal favorite. I highly suggest the Holland had some dill in it, and it was very fresh tasting. If you're going to Squamish, get here for when they open and do yourself a favour and make sure you set aside the time. read more

Slightly off the beaten path between squamish and whistler but I've really enjoyed coming here the past 4 or 5 years, seeing the restaurant expand, change and grow. In winter months there's less seating options so there can be a wait for a table... there is a small indoor bar area with a handful of bar seating and a few small tables but there are more outdoor options for eating, which can be more enjoyed in the spring to summer months when weather is warmer. Thus far, I've tried the pork hash and different benedicts. Food is pretty solid tho tends to be on the heavier / heartier side. My favorite recently is the smoked trout benny which had good flavor and was accompanied by a good side of crispy potatoes. It came on a biscuit instead of an english muffin which made it more hearty of a meal. Yum! Such a delicious spot in Squamish. Perfect place to grab brunch after a morning hike. Just twenty minutes away from The Chief! I was surprised by how spacious and cute Fergie's was! You greet the host up the stairs but there are several levels of seating. We got a spot at the bottom and I was thankful for the heat lamps. We got the pork belly eggs benny and the fritters to share. The pork belly eggs Benny was good but just ok - I didn't care much for the pickled apple slice which overpowered the pork belly. Holy smokes. This is the most beautiful cafe I've ever been to. Tucked away in a little river bend in Squamish, the newly renovated Fergie's is a sight to behold. Its sleek and modern build among the greenery of the trees is honestly jaw dropping. And the food!! I love creamed leek, and they had it in abundance on the menu. I got the new Dubliner benedict, and the combo of the creamed leek, lardons, and truffle hollandaise was the best kind of heavy and hearty. The house made hot sauce was delicious; I could taste that they used real roasted peppers. However, I do think the breakfast potatoes could have been done better, as they were a bit dry and stale tasting. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. We visited on a Thursday afternoon around 1pm so we didn't encounter the wait times as mantioned in other reviews. Given the location and ambiance, the wait times are understandable on weekends. There was still a good crowd turnong over as we were seated. We ordered the burger, mushrooms on sourdough, crispy portobello, and brioche french toast w. side sausage. Food was presented beautifully and would make an impact on social media. Overall the flavours were there, if not a tad salty, on the savoury plates. The french toast was the best dish of the day, with the side sausage winning a supporting role. Crispy and custardy, it was a delicious balance with the fresh blueberry compote. As mentioned, there was a big crowd as we were sat, and unfortunately we waited a good 20 minutes for our food. The overall service was good, but nothing extrordinary. Been waiting for this day for a while to finally make a visit to Fergies Cafe when enroute to Whistler. We went during the Canada long weekend and wait was a bit longer than usual with their internet/seating system down for the day. The place was so relaxing with a large grass field and plenty of picnic tables for you to sit that makes your wait a more enjoyable experience. The restaurant is very dog friendly with plenty of water bowls around to keep your pup hydrated! Once you get to the food you will realize the wait and drive here was all worth it! The waitress gave some great recommendation! We ordered the BBQ Asado Hash + Beetroot & Egg Fattoush w/ side Pulled Pork. Hash was filling and flavoured pack and the fattoush was so refreshing with the tahani dressing, crispy chickpeas and root veggies! We have tried to come to this place before and weren't able to get a seat because of the wait, woke up bright in early this time and got their before opening to get a seat. The seating is a bit odd, they wanted to seat us outside but the benches were all wet and covered in bird poop and had not yet been wiped down, we requested to be moved into a table that was ready and they were hesitant but did move us inside which is much more quaint. I ordered eggs Benedict and it arrived cold, which is off putting as we were the second people in there and the meal came quickly but was cold already. They also have tried to upscale the food which I found unpleasant in terms of flavor pairings. The eggs Benedict had a salsa that did not go with it and the potatoes were very salty. For the price, food and inconvenience of getting a table here I would recommend skipping this spot. read more

Went here on a Sunday morning around 930am after a short hike in Squamish. First you'll give your name and number to one server and they will give you an estimate wait time. We were told for 2 people 15-30 minutes. If we didn't receive a text within 30 minutes we should go to a second tent and let them know we were waiting. My service wasn't good so I never received a text. While waiting we went along the river and walked around there. 30 minutes had passed and we went to the second tent. We were told they had tables but they were still cleaning up. We waited another 15 minutes and finally got seated. Patience is key! If you have a tight schedule I don't recommend going here just because of time. But in terms of the food. It was delicious!!!! We ordered 3 items, actually 4 but they never brought the coffee out. Anyways, the 3 main dishes were the coastal (trout Benny), the forager (mushroom Benny) and the brisket biscuit. I highly recommend all of these dishes. I was wondering if I was just very hungry and so I enjoyed the dishes anyways but no. They really were flavorful, fresh bennys. I want to go back even with the wait.
