On our (family visiting from England) way to Whistler, we stopped in Brackendale (Squamish) for breakfast. We wanted to fuel up on a big brekkie for the day ahead. I had not ever passed through this particular area of Brackendale, as I would normally bypass it via the highway to & from Whistler. The Crabapple Café had popped up in my news feed a few months ago & I tagged it. It is a small restaurant that will get packed in so arrive here as early as you can. They thing about this particular community, is that most diners are heading to Whistler or Vancouver, so depending on when you arrive here, your table wait may not be that long. Our waitress was excellent - gave great recommendations. Our breakfast orders were excellent. I'm fussy when it comes to pancakes. However, I had absolutely no fuss over the pancakes here - they were on point spectacular - fluffy & tasty. The bacon was fantastic. If you're heading up to Whistler, make this a stopover indeed. Open till 3pm daily. read more

There was some miscommunication when we were first seated. Upon our arrival, I had mentioned we had a dog with us. The server advised that we could only sit outside with a dog and it would be about a 15 minute wait. I told her that would be fine. We were seated out in their patio by the same person I spoke with. However shortly afterwards, another server noticed we had a dog and advised that they can only allow service dogs. I told her that we had spoken with the front staff about having a dog with us and this is where we were seated. She asked us if we would be alright sitting out front on the picnic bench outside instead. She mentioned that they normally don't provide full-service out there, but they would figure things out to make it work. We agreed to this. I got the Beef Short Rib Benedict, which had beef short rib with horseradish and caramelized onions. We also go the Lemon Meringue pie pancake. The Benedict was tasty and the beef was tender. I was glad that the horseradish was mild and not overpowering. The pancake was so fluffy and delicious. It had lemon curd and meringue chips on top. Our server was friendly and helpful. She offered outstanding customer service. read more

The Crabapple Café feels like going home for weekend bruch.  The kind you don't overthink, you just sit down, order big, and trust the room. It's rustic in that honest, country way: wood, warmth, and a smallish-town Squamish vibe that makes you slow down whether you meant to or not. The location does half the work for the ambiance, the rest comes from the feeling that someone actually cares about feeding you well. This is home-cooked brunch with intention. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and every plate feels thought out, like it's been tested by real people who eat breakfast for a living. The pancakes are the headline act--huge, fluffy, unapologetic, and exactly what you want when you're leaning back in your chair wondering if you should order another coffee or surrender to a food coma. And if the night before got a little loose, the double Caesar is a public service: bracing, restorative, and delivered without judgment - oh my aching head. What really seals it, though, is the staff--genuinely welcoming, on their game, and clearly proud of the place. The Crabapple Café isn't trying to be trendy or precious. It's just very good at what it does. A must-try in Squamish, especially if you believe breakfast should be comforting, filling, and a little bit healing. This is not our first time, and definitely not our last. The cafe has become our way station before heading up to Whistler. CHEERS!!! read more

The food was good, I had the Eggs Benedict with Bacon, Spinach, Tomato, & Smashed Avocado, it was most good with well season hash browns, spinach, and tomato with crispy bacon. However, one minor annoyance was the english muffin was hard, otherwise, a delicious meal. The service was fast and friendly considering how busy the restaurant was. The restaurant had a rustic vibe a good and a good atmosphere to start your day off. read more

Emily was so kind and wonderful! Food was to die for and it was a cute place! Definitely will be coming back!

It's such a quaint restaurant with incredibly friendly staff. The service is truly second to none! A special shout-out to Carlo, who was so accommodating and made our experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent as well. We dined here with our kids and drove over 100 km to get here, and I can honestly say the drive was absolutely worth it! We'll definitely be coming back the next time we're in the area before heading back to Whistler. Highly recommended! read more

Great place for brunch. Their restaurant has such a nice decor and a lot of options for breakfast. The waiter helped us out to choose one of the best options. Amazing customer service!!! My friend and I ordered pulled pork and salmon Bennies. They were so yummy. Salmon with the capers was my favourite one. Then, we got the Banoffee pancake and it was divine. Amazing place for breakfast, and don't forget to come earlier or you will wait in line. read more

If your on your way to Whistler make a stop in Squamish to try Crabapple Cafe! I have never had pancakes that are so perfectly round and airy! The one con is that they charge for extra syrup. I also had the short rib benedict that was sweet and the same time salty/sour with pickled red onions. read more

This place...there's something really special going on here. Either the owner is a professional chef with years of experience, or the people here have some natural gift for making a great dining experience. Let's start with the place. It's small but expands outside to a covered area, which is probably 60% larger than the core interior. Pretty smart. The ambiance is casual and homey. No complaints about anything inside--simple and logically laid out. The servers order on iPads and use Square, so you get contactless payment if you want. The servers were quick to greet us and took the order for our beverage of choice. The coffee was strong--perhaps a bit burnt tasting--but drinkable. My other half had tea, which is served in a proper teapot with loose-leaf tea--she loved it. The menu is just the right size without too many options. You have an array of Benedicts, omelettes, bowls, and a few traditional-style breakfast plates. There were many items with beef short rib, so I assumed it was some sort of House Specialty. I ordered the Beef Short Rib, Horseradish & Caramelized Onion Benedict. My other half ordered the Chorizo Sausage Hash. I noticed many of the same ingredients come in different forms. This is smart and another sign of a professional/smart restaurant operator. Both of our meals were quite delicious. My Beef Short Rib Benedict was outrageously good. The flavors were exceptional and surprising. The cook was perfect. I'm a fast eater, but when I love the food, I slow it waaaay down. My date was very surprised at how slowly I was eating and commented on the fact! Even more remarkable, when I stuck my fork into the other poached egg, after taking a long time to eat the first one, and the egg was still runny! How did they cook these so perfectly?! Nevertheless, the big story here are the flavors. Simply unexpected and delicious. I'm repeating this point because it's not really describable for me how good this Benedict tastes--the complexity is brilliant. I had a bite of the Chorizo, and it was also very, very good. Anyway, I often grade things on a curve, and for this sort of place I'd go 5 stars if it's better than the usual cafe. It if was possible to give this place 10 stars I would--it's simply that good! It's truly a find and a must-stop. If it wasn't for Yelp, I wouldn't have even known about it. read more

What an adorable cozy & welcoming little gem of a brunch spot in Brackendale. The food & drinks were delish too. Popped in for brunch on a weekday with no wait time and started with some delicious cappuccinos and lattes. Later, Hubby enjoyed a Bloody Mary . The menu is filled with tempting entrées, making it a challenge to select just one item. We settled on one of their vegetable hashes and it was also available with hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. So Fresh and tasty. But boy was I craving some of their waffles and pancakes. Next time for sure! read more

I ordered the tomato, spinach, avocado (no bacon because I can't eat bacon) benny on gluten free. The gluten free bread was not toasted; it was soggy. The potatoes were cold and not crispy. The hollandaise however was really flavourful - it had a hint of lemon in it. I just wish the bread was toasted and the hash browns were hotter and crispier. Overall it was decent. They do have 2 picnic tables in the front in case it gets too busy inside. read more

Awesome brunch place in Squamish. Very friendly, chill atmosphere, great attentive service, feels like a local spot. I had the chorizo sausage hash which was just delish. The poached egg was perfection - orange, just soft but not too runny, wonderful texture. Everything else - peppers, crispy potatoes, and the sausage itself - blends really well together, and the portion is great. Also had the chance to taste the short rib which is shredded - very tender. Would definitely come back. read more

Walking in there is a sign that says "your lips deserve our pancakes". They are absolutely right. Best pancakes i have ever had. They are thick fluffy and delicious. They have multiple toppings that you can choose from. I also had their usual breakfast, two eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. It was as good as you would expect it to be but those pancakes are absolutely the star. Im sorry I didn't order more of them. This spot wasn't our first pick. The brunch spot we initially visited had such a long wait time that...we were too hungry to wait so we came here instead; other people also had the same idea cause we recognized some familiar faces racing us into the cafe when we arrived. Needless to say, for a weekend prime brunch hour, we were surprised to get seated right away. It was already off to a great start! We were seated in their indoor space. It was warm enough that they also opened the patio. Half way through the meal, the inside of the restaurant did get a little warmer and there was no air circulation in the restaurant so we imagine that it might be better to get takeout instead in prime summer temperatures.... We got breakfast sandwich and their featured breakfast mac and cheese. They also had daily boozy specials so we also got a beer. The breakfast sandwich although has a long list of ingredients, the flavours were a little underwhelming. There could have been more aioli sauce as you could not taste much of it. Although it could be semantics, the menu said it's served with hash browns so we were expecting some greasy shredded/chunky hash browns but was a little disappointed when they turned out to be potato wedges instead. While yes, they're both potatoes, we were mentally prepping ourselves for the crispiness and grease that usually comes with hash browns Breakfast sandwich aside, while we don't usually order pasta for brunch, we were so happy that we got their mac and cheese. It was "simple" and cheesy with little tid bits of meat. It was hearty and comforting and exactly what we needed. Although I'm lactose intolerant, I thoroughly enjoyed the few bites I had. We still talk about the dish to this day. Overall, with the limited breakfast spots in the area, we will definitely be coming back to try their bennies and breakfast hash dishes, and fully prepared for those potatoes chunks. read more

Needed breakfast while passing through Squamish and found this lovely cafe! The service was quick and friendly, and the cafe had a very cozy vibe with a heated outdoor space. Cute servers, fantastic food. Open daily from 8 AM to 3 PM. Indoor and covered patio dining. Large clean parking lot in the back. Two single very clean washrooms. Chill atmosphere. We're enjoying a nice breeze on the back covered patio. They are currently playing alt pop rock music from the mid-late 2000s, Foster the People. Love the food here. We always get the veggie omelette and The Usual. Ask for jam for the toast because it comes buttered but there are no little single serve jams on the table. Free wifi. Some folks are enjoying unlimited drip coffee while working on their laptops. read more

Another excellent find courtesy of Yelp. Lovely back patio which is mainly shaded. Friendly though slow service. Tried the crabapple cafe burger (caramelized onion, sautéed mushrooms) and the California burger (spicy mayo, tomato, avocado) and both were excellent. I personally preferred the California burger which was super balanced. The side salad was surprisingly flavorful and excellent, and came with cucumbers, sunflower seeds, tomato, carrot, and mandarin oranges. The poutine was fine but I'd probably skip next time. The bennies and hashes at other tables looked great. Excellent drink specials ($7 mimosas on Saturdays). A great find if you're in the area or need a bite after a hike or Sea to Summit visit. read more

With all the great Yelp reviews about this place, we decided to stop here on our way down the mountain. Nestled in a residential area - this local spot has charm, warmth and great local friendly charm. Indoor & outdoor seating - with a very cool garage door dividing the two areas. American music playing, open kitchen and since we arrived on a Sunday morning ... everyone hustling to accommodate a full restaurant of diners at 9 am ! Delicious Flat White coffee to start ... served with a smile. We ordered the Denver Omelet and an order of Onion Rings. Wow ... best onion Rings I have ever had ! Delicious Omelet! The morning we left Squamish, we stopped at the Crabapple Cafe for breakfast. I had a hard time deciding what to get, as there were so many tasty options, but in the end I went with the smoked salmon eggs benny, coffee, and a couple of mimosas. Damn, the smoked salmon benny was DELICIOUS, probably the best eggs benny I've ever had. It was SO GOOD. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals. In addition to the absolutely delicious food, the service was excellent (we received our food surprisingly quickly), and the restaurant was just the cutest restaurant ever, with a great ambiance. It's a red, wooden building, and half the seating area is inside, and half is technically outside, but it still feels like it it is inside, as it is enclosed with a roof. There were also heat lamps (which were off, of course), in the outside portion. Unfortunately I couldn't get photos, but trust me, it was a cute little restaurant and I really liked the space and decor. If I am back in Squamish again, I would definitely go here again for breakfast. read more
