Chirizo hash skillet contained lots of hash and four slices of bread, which was a lot of carbs. But only one egg and some minded chorizo, not enough protein for me. Decided to try this place after a "locals" tip from folks at Finnish Sauna (also 5 star experience) at Cheekye ranch. Our group included "foodies" who live in the WestEnd of Vancouver. They all raved about the food. Firstly taste, quality and price. We tried the ravioli, salads, hand rolled spatzle and schnitzel. This is a hidden gem. My dad and I came and got the pork Parmesan sandwich with a side of carrot ginger soup we split it because it was the biggest schnitzel I have ever seen, we both agree it was one of the best sandwiches we have ever had. We ordered takeout from this small European restaurant. We placed our orders over the phone, and thankfully, they were ready within the next 15-20 minutes or so. Once we stepped inside the restaurant for our pick-up, our food was ready, and we promptly paid. By the time we got back to our Airbnb, the food was still warm, and the portions were huge. I ordered the sarmale with ribs. It included three pork cabbage rolls, and four barbecue pork ribs with polenta with bacon and cheese and a homemade pickled tomato. I think this dish really hit the spot. I personally never have cabbage rolls on a regular basis, so it was great to treat to expand my palate with this sort of European dish. My friend got the schnitzel, and his was a huge piece of meat. I think it was either the chicken or pork, and like me, he was also unable to finish his entire dinner. I really think that this is a great spot to hit up if you are staying within Squamish. In Vancouver, we really never have European straight food up. It's always a mix of Canadian or fusion or something else, so it's a delight to try this sort of cuisine. One thing I wish that they could improve upon would just be seasoning their food, but overall, their food was on point. The service was great with the short interaction that we got with the restaurant, so if you are lazy to dress up and eat inside a restaurant, this is a great place to order it. I had the Meat and Eggs and it was a mix of all good things If I could have that for breakfast and skip the high cholesterol, I would. The London Fog was just okay. Too much milk imo, but I don't think you really visit this place for the drinks, but their excellent dishes like the Lil Bennie's and Meat and Eggs. The food wait on a Sunday at noon was pretty slow but the dishes ended up being worth the wait. I love how you can mix and match your Benny or add a third Benny to your meal. The place is pretty impressive with what it makes in-house. They make their own English muffins, sausages, pea meal bacon, ginger beer and ice cream. Homemade hollandaise too but I think that's fairly standard at most places. I'm sure there's probably more but that's the extent of what we tried. I love the personal heated lamps you get on the patio, I've never seen those before and I think they are super neat. Service was friendly and the ambiance was comfortable. The only improvements I could see were the flavouring of the sausage and how dry my hash browns were. I could tell they were on the flat top for a while and had become pretty dehydrated. read more

This place has some serious issues that go beyond just a busy night or an off meal. Our waitress was doing everything she could -- she was the only one serving the whole place and still managed to stay kind and professional. No complaints there. But the food? A different story. I ordered a salad with no nuts due to an allergy, and it came out with nuts anyway. When I asked for a new one, they just picked them off and sent it back like that was an acceptable fix. I didn't eat it. That kind of disregard for allergies is not only careless, it's dangerous. Then came the burger -- dry, flavorless, and honestly a chore to eat. The English muffin bun was the only highlight. At $25, I expected something way better than a bland patty and a side that costs $2 to add. Which, by the way, if you skip the sides, the sandwich is $10 cheaper, but that info isn't necessarily upfront and not sure what about getting a sandwich and a side warrants that extra $10... It felt sneaky and overpriced for what's ultimately pretty mediocre food. This place might have good intentions, and the staff is clearly trying, but the kitchen execution and pricing structure feel like a joke. Not somewhere I'd recommend, especially if you have any dietary restrictions. There are definitely better spots in town read more

Let's start with the Bennie: sauce was a 5/5, egg cooked perfectly; although I did not like the spinach spin on the classic. I'm a classic girl when it comes to my bennies. The potatoes were a 3.5/5. Now the soup: it was a 3 / 5. Not enuf cheese and the flavour was bland...we've had better. The place is very cute / quaint but very small so if going at a popular time, u may have to wait. Ambiance is perfect for the size Food was prepared, presented nicely and the quality and flavour were spot on The service was excellent and was like it used to be pre Covid when people gave a crap about service. Attentive, knowledgeable, personable and professional. The open kitchen was also impressive to watch. No yelling, no short cuts, just two staff quietly pumping out the food. So nice to see!! This place is great as long as it is not busy. Visited it twice during lunch time. First visit was pretty good, service was fast and food was great. Had the reuben sandwich and it was honestly one of the best versions I have ever had. It was not busy at all. Second visit, though, was pretty bad. Once I arrived, the place was packed, but there was an empty table. Servers kept ignoring me for at least 5 minutes when I asked a lady when I would get seated. She looked annoyed and immediately replied she was "exhausted and working since early in the morning". Hey, I get the restaurant industry can be overly taxing, but please do not lash out on a customer. After all, we are the reason you are in business. As a matter of fact, I was super excited to visit your place again, order some drinks, and have a good time. This left me such a sour taste that I decided just to order food, so this little attitude made me spend less money than I was planning to. Anyways, I ordered the pierogies entrée and this time the food was not as great unfortunately. It took a long time to arrive (at least 45 minutes), portion size was small for the price, and it had nothing special. I could watch the kitchen from where I was seated and I noticed there was a bit of chaos. They seemed to be confused about some orders, not knowing which tables should be served. Lots of back and forth. Also noticed several times someone start working on a drink, then being interrupted to do something else. A fair rating would be 2.5 (5 stars for first time, 1 star for second time). Bumping it up to 3 because I think this place has a lot of potential and can easily become a consistent 5 stars. Their staff needs to be better trained, treat customers better, and definitely work on the communication between kitchen and servers. read more
