I came on a quiet Monday afternoon. I was seated on the lovely patio right away but it took the server ten minutes to come over and didn't even offer water. She took my order with a smile and the food came quickly. I ordered the black and blue burger without the bun. The cheesy sauce was amazing but the ingredients were a bit scant. Again, it took the server a long time to notice I was finished and ready to pay. What should've been a quick stop for lunch had me waiting around for half the time.

We tried the Half Rack of Ribs and Smoked Brisket, and both were absolutely delicious. The Cajun Cauliflower was flavorful, and the Smoked Chicken Wings were perfectly crunchy--definitely a favorite! Our server, Katie, was amazing--very attentive, friendly, and gave us fantastic recommendations.

Our first stop for food in Squamish and we were let down by all the other places we went to.... The poutine (mini) was so good we tried poutine at two other places after here and they just weren't as good. This didn't even have all the toppings as it was the mini version. We think the cajun fires had something to do with it but regardless, best one we tried so far. The jambalaya was out of this world, with a side of cornbread 10/10. The only reason I didn't order this was because I didn't want anything too heavy and so I settled with the cajun falafel salad and was still amazed. It was delicious and tasted so fresh and filling. We wished we had time to come by here again because their draft beers were also amazing. I tried their IPA and got two rounds of that. The inside is nicely decorated and has a warm feeling to it. If staying by the area I would recommend coming here for a meal.

On a recent trip to Vancouver/Whistler, this might be one of my favorite meals. Just an underrated gem in a small town that could be easily overlooked. We came by on a weekday on a late fall day and got seated under the heaters in their enclosed porch. Service was Uber friendly and the beer selection was strong. We got the poutine which was one of the best examples of this dish I can recall eating. Full of gravy, cheese, meat, it was so huge too! The jambalaya was even better with the right mix of spice, heat and flavors. Huge shrimp and chicken and sausage, my only complaint is I was so full afterwards because I had to try to eat it all! Just a really fun and great food place. Don't overlook this one.

Came here after a very long day of hiking in Squamish. The laid back and friendly atmosphere is just what we needed. However, I was disappointed with the food. I ordered the pulled pork and a side salad, but the sandwhich was very dry and didn't have much to it. I would come here again though and try other things off the menu. I heard the jumbolaya, burgers, and ramen dish were good.

Today I did a runaway from the big city to Squamish, just to eat something with friends. We found out this restaurant as a recommendation and when we got here, we just loved it! The restaurant has a cool decoration inside and out. It was raining and they have patio with heats and blankets available. Their service was amazing, they gave a good recommendation regarding food and drinks. I was in doubt which beer, so decided to go with the flight... mixed with ipa, ale and Pilsen. Tô harmonize my beer lol I decided to order the Smoked brisket & pulled pork... believe or not, it was amazing!!! Just loved a lot!!! My friends got the burger and jambalaya, I think they loved since they finished their meal less than 10 mins!!! Well loved my experience here and worth the trip!!! Hopefully you like too!!! Cheers

I'm from Chicago and had the great pleasure of stopping in Copper Coil when I was on my was to Whistler this past weekend. To start, the staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating - we had a party of six and they took us in immediately and even moved us to a bigger table when one opened up to make us more comfortable. I had the potato skins and absolutely loved them. They were very good and I enjoyed that they had a seasoning rub on them. The rest of my friends and my boyfriend also enjoyed their dishes and raved about the restaurant saying how we can't wait to go back on our next trip back. Do not pass up on the Copper Coil! Such a great place with tasty food, great staff, and a cozy ambience.

This place can get pretty busy on the weekends so be prepared for a wait. There are heaters on the porch if you end up getting a table there. My guest got the wind and fries. The fries come in a skillet where the oil sits. The bottom of fry layer will be saturated in grease. The fries don't come with regular ranch, I believe it's like peppered ranch or something but it's not what you're thinking (I'm from the US). Lots of decor and has its own vibe. I believe there was a tv or two in the place. Not a lot of options in this small city but everyone seems to gravitate here. I learned something new this visit- a Shirley temple in Canada is made with soda, orange juice and grenadine.

Decided to stop in Squamish for lunch before heading back to Vancouver. Saw this place on a corner that I thought was busy because the parking lot was packed but turns out people just park there and go somewhere else. It's a cute little place that's got that local vibe with their own signature dishes and drinks. Service was a little slower than I'm used to but was sufficient as they only had 2 people for the whole restaurant. Fries were a bit under done but had a nice Cajun seasoning on them. Sandwiches/burgers were really good. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Falafel Sandwich while sitting under the covered and heated outdoor patio. A large table with young unrestrained kids unfortunately made the place kind of annoying. They were banging on everything (including the propane heaters) and screaming for almost the entire meal.

My friend and I were in Squamish for the day and visited Copper Coil after climbing at the local gym. We opted to sit outside on the patio and it was so cozy after the host turned on the heat lamps! We split three dishes: - Poutine - Cajun Mac 'n Cheese - Blackened Chicken Salad I was surprised by the salad; the avocado lime dressing was so good. But all three were delicious and this specific combo of dishes balanced each other out. The waitress that helped us out was so friendly, cheering us on when we managed to finish all the food (they were huge portions - great bang for your buck)! I'll remember this place next time I'm in the area. -

Great food great service great atmosphere, came to watch the Leafs game and to my surprise ran into a fellow Newfoundlander. Great experience would recommend to anyone, probably gonna make this my regular spot for my stay in Squamish

What a view! We visited Squamish and wanted to get a bite to eat. This place was perfect. Food was good, our waitress was friendly. We went on a Thursday evening for dinner and there was no wait. We were seated quickly and food didn't take long. Seating outside was really beautiful!

Driving back to Vancouver from Whistler & we wanted dinner at a time when most places were shutting down on Sunday night. This came up on Yelp & we decided to check it out. Easy parking, cute area w art outside- seated immediately & our server was overall good. Covered patio w heat lamps were real cozy. A little bummed they ran out of jambalaya- but the Cajun falafel salad & the ribs & brisket combo were very tasty. As other helpers have says- ribs were tastier than brisket. Actually was surprised to get such a darn good salad at this hour. Definitely worth return visit

Have you ever tried seafood boiled in a plastic cooking bag? If not, you're in for a treat!…read more After discovering this concept during a recent vacation, we were excited to find The Captain's Boil on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver, offering the same fun dining experience. This restaurant serves steamed seafood in plastic bags with various spices and broths, creating a unique and flavorful meal. We visited during their AYCE promotion -- shrimp, mussels, and fries for $46.99 per adult. Here's how it works: Choose Your Flavour: Cajun, garlic, lemon pepper, or their signature Captain's Boil (a combo of all flavours). Choose Your Heat Level: From non-spicy to FIRE . Each bag contains about 1 lb of seafood. We tried different flavours and spice levels, and while all were delicious, our favourites were the Captain's Boil and the Garlic flavour. As spice lovers, we found the medium heat just right, but next time, we're ready to take on the FIRE level! The seafood was fresh, expertly cooked, and bursting with flavour. This spot is perfect for groups, especially during their promotion -- big savings and lots of fun. They have multiple locations across Metro Vancouver, so check them out! Whether it's a family gathering or a fun outing with friends, The Captain's Boil is a must-try for seafood lovers. We'll definitely be back! Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: 4/5 Kids: 3/5 A-Ok for kids, but it can be very messy! Price: $30-$50 per person. (AYCE promotion) Presentation: 1/5 Parking: Paid street parking Tips: * Can get messy, even with the bibs and gloves provided--embrace it! * Start with 1 lb of each seafood and order more halfway through to keep it hot and fresh. * Experiment with different seasonings and spice levels for variety. * Consider adding discounted side dishes. Would I Return: Yes ‍

She got the 3 mini lobster rolls, and I got the clams baked in a bag with a massive plate of seafood fried rice. We both had the Cajun fries, which definitely have some kick. I also enjoyed the video of the two guys trying everything on the menu that played on a loop, and was mouthwatering. The staff was very nice, and made sure to mention that the seafood is all market price. The comfortable atmosphere, especially my bib, were just what we were looking for that night.

We did the Captain's Boil sauce for all the seafood (clams, mussels, and headless shrimp). The fries were really good -- they seem to be Cavendish fries. The Cajun flavour was spicier than expected! I would get regular next time. The fried rice was also really good! So flavourful, but a little greasy. It actually started tasting like White Rabbit candy (because of all the butter?) at one point, which was funny. As for the seafood, it was delicious! So saucy and wonderful. I love the Captain's Boil sauce. Out of all the seafood types we had, I think I liked the mussels the most despite not liking mussels previously. This was way too much food for me though -- next time I will just get seafood! Service was fine -- they didn't bother us much, which was good. Everything you need is already at the table (lots of napkins & water!). The restaurant itself is very boat-themed -- befitting of the name.
