This location has really gone downhill under new ownership. Thankfully service has improved as they seem to have more people working instead of overworking the one lovely server while other male staff stood around watching. Today I ordered the chicken pecan salad (a favorite on the menu) and when it arrived it had about a tablespoon of pecan crumbs and 2-3 full pecans. Honestly, the pecans are the main reason I order this salad. It would have been nice to know one of the main ingredients would barely be included prior to getting my food so I could make the decision to order something else. And on a side note, the lettuce pieces are huge It would be easier to eat if the lettuce chopped into smaller pieces. If my kids didn't love coming for the ice cream dessert, I wouldn't come back. read more

Just stopped by on the way home from Whistler. Restaurant was not busy at all, maybe 5 tables including my mom and I. Before we were able to be seated the tables needed to still be wiped down even though the restaurant was empty. Once we had been seated it took about 10 minutes before we were even served, and over 20 minutes once we've ordered to actually get the food. Restaurant was very short staffed, could have been due to the long weekend but given it's a long weekend they should plan for more people to be coming in. However once the food came it was very good and the staff were really nice. read more

We had lunch there today around 1 oclock. The restaurant was almost empty. Our server came to take our order, was barely able to even acknowledge us let alone exude any sort of interest in our visit. Perhaps she was having a bad day but the entire meal service was one of perfunctory service without any what would be considered normal interactions that one would experience at a restaurant. If the management at this location are aware of this level of employee engagement I hope they have some strategies in place to address this. I love carbs. Pizza may be the best form of food that carbs come in. I also love football and football can be watched here! After errands in Squamish we knew that we were not going to make it back to Whistler in time to catch the end of one of the football games we wanted to watch, so we popped in here and as our luck would have it, the entire bar area was empty! Our server, Ashley, was super cool about getting our game on TV and she was really fast with service. The hubby and I have never been to one of these restaurants before. I've seen them all over the US but never bothered to try one before this past week. I got the Mediterranean Pizza ($13.59) and the hubby went with BBQ Chicken ($12.99). Both were amazing! So amazing, that we were saying that it may be some of the best pizza that we've had in a while. The Mediterranean is a great option for those that are vegetarian. I'm not sure of what all of the gripping is on here, about service etc. We had no problems, everyone was very polite, helped us get our game on one of the TV's, service was fast, and the food was very good. The first time I went to Boston Pizza in Squamish was earlier this year with a large group of people and my experience was not great. The food was good AND bad (some food was served cold) but the service was indifferent and borderline rude. When I got home, I completed their online survey and expressed my displeasure about the experience by everyone at our table. I was actually surprised when someone from BP contacted me and offered me a gift card to go back. Since I don't live in Squamish, I wasn't sure if I would return, but I did have the chance to go back last weekend and my review is based on that experience. We arrived and were greeted warmly and shown to a booth. Service was very prompt and I think it was even the same server as my previous visit. On this occasion, she wasn't exactly friendly, but she wasn't rude either. Our meals arrived all at the same time, and everything was really good. I had the perogy pizza and a small spinach salad (which was actually pretty big). Aside from the fact that the salad had feta cheese (I've always had it with mozzarella at BP) it was still very good. The pizza reminded me of why I love Boston Pizza. The crust was perfect and the toppings were all generous - no complaints this time. I would most definitely return to this location, mostly because there aren't many options in Squamish, but also because the food is really good. read more

Stopped by this location on the way home from Whistler, the wait time was reasonable for a group of 8 but the service was very slow. Our food took at-least 30 minutes to come out it was just cactus cut potatoes and a medium pizza. The location was fairly empty and wasn't as busy which didn't make much sense as to why the food took forever to come out. The waitress also messed up our bill and added an additional items to our bill when it was never ordered but was kind of enough to correct it. We waited at least 20 minutes for our bill after asking for it and an additional 10 minutes just to have it be corrected and pay for it. Such a pity because we actually liked the food. Its a pizza place but they have nice selection of other items on their menu. Most of us ordered pasta and the garlic bread that came with it is delicious. I had the prime rib burger and I liked the flavors and their balsamic vinegar dressing for my toss salad was tasty. However, service here is not good. We came here on a Tuesday afternoon over Labor day holiday and the restaurant was pretty empty. Out of all the empty tables our hostess decides to seat us at the booth next to the bathroom. I commented that I don't like the chemical smell from the bathroom, she snap back and said " I don't smell anything." I didn't appreciate her comment. Our server was MIA most of the time and did not refill our water even once. I spoke perfect English, however my parent's guest from Taiwan had some trouble with understanding the menu. You can order half/half on a pizza if you want to try more than one but can't eat too much! Spicy perogie pizza was my favourite, bacon cheeseburger was pretty good too. I have had her as a host when I go there for probably about 2 years now. i don't get it! how can u have such a good worker and such a nice person like that working for u and not make them a full time server when u have other servers that are much less nice be served by. I find it funny that Canada has created a chain pizza restaurant for a location not known for it's pizza. I've lived in 8 states in the US and have never seen this chain. It reminded me of a Chucky Cheese without the games. Food was terrible. I tried the pizza and the meatball sub. Both not good. There were french fries, crayons and crumbs all over the floor. I ordered the chicken fettuccine and the sauce was watered down so much that I cold used a spoon to eat it and it tasted bad. Horrible, terrible experience. My 5 year old son found a thong underwear under our table!!!! I was so disgusted. The servers were also disgusted and removed it but still... Then I found a fruit fly in my Boston sized beer! The waitress offered to replace but I said no. I half expected her to remove the charge from my bill but since I drank 1/2 of it already, I accepted the $2.00 discount. Boston Pizza RULES! Claire T. served us - we ordered a Medium pizza, and asked for half without bacon. There was a special on for a large pizza for the price of a medium, so we received the large. When it arrived it had bacon on the whole thing, so Claire promptly brought us a SECOND, LARGE pizza, bacon-free! Service was so friendly and prompt, food was delicious. I rarely write bad reviews on Yelp, but this place needs some work. We went here because we couldn't find anywhere else open at 10pm. Our host and server were both nice, and the service in general was pretty quick. But we were seated next to the kitchen and the staff was goofing off most of the time (literally screaming). The food was pretty bland but not terrible. So if you need somewhere open late to get some bland food, this might be ok. read more

Driving from Oregon on a long road trip, I stopped by here to feed the family. I specifically needed Wi-Fi to get some work done while the family takes a break from the car for a nice lunch. First off, the Wi-Fi was nonfunctional even though there's a sign on the door and another secondary Wi-Fi offered. Employee claim it does not work well. My experience is that it does not work at all. They told me to connect to Starbucks Wi-Fi next-door. When I informed the manager of this, he acted like he did not care and gave a take it or leave it bad attitude. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he is the manager. The pizza arrives in a decent amount of time, but first thing I noticed is the raw vegetables on top. I wasn't looking forward to eating raw onions. Then as a dug in, I noticed a very blah taste. There was perhaps a tablespoon of pizza sauce spread around the entire large pizza and a microscopic amount of cheese. I said wow to myself: $30 for this pizza, crazy! They came by and asked how was the pizza and we told them we were disappointed. At least they offered to remake it and they brought a smaller size back to the table. The newer pizza was 100% better and acceptable at this point. Overall, I'm disappointed with this establishment it would not revisit. read more

I've eaten at this particular Boston Pizza probably about 5 times in the last several years and for not any other reason than because for the last few years, besides a few dingy joints in Squamish, there simply weren't many sit-down joints except 45 minutes north in Whistler, or an hour south in North Vancouver. Granted, it was one of the first restaurants we noticed that came into the new strip mall with Canadian Tire along Hwy 99 and Manquam Rd. But the main problem with this restaurant is that the food is not very good for Pizza, wings, pasta, etc. and the service is exceptionally slow. In addition, I'm not sure if this is a racist thing, but as an Asian family, I've never gotten preferential seating at this store, or quick refills, or extra plates, or any other amenity, even though I've always asked very politely, and I always tip big, pay cash, and speak perfect north American English. And I've observed each time how the wait staff divides time/attention to other customers. The store is run by Caucasians who smile and say hi to other whites and dote on them, but not to anyone of colour. It felt like the service staff were under duress to serve a fellow Canadian Tax Payer like myself only who was of Asian descent. It's bothersome. We've had bigger parties than ours come in and get seated several times and served 20 minutes before us, though we arrived 10 minutes before and the place was empty. Not that 3 samples out of 5 represents a scientific survey, but the last time we dined here, we were with relatives and their family (also Asian) and service was terrible despite being empty and blowing several hundred on a very basic dinner. We've always gotten racist bad-vibes going into this place and that event was the last straw. My wife is absolutely against eating here any longer because of the poor service. And the prices are high relative to food quality. I want to support local merchants in Squamish since I grew up partly in Canada and have a 2nd home nearby. But I certainly don't want to feel like I'm forcing the wait staff feel like they are serving people beneath them, which is what it feels like for me to eat there. read more

I have been to this restaurant a few time and my first impression was that it looked old and run down on the inside. Booths were ripped, tables are not sturdy. We ordered regular meals and every time have been disappointed, from burnt items to bland, over all not a great experience. We even got to listen to some waitresses and cooks get into an argument behind the barrier.
