    Beef burger and side salad
    Tony X.

The Locavore is one of my favourite places to grab a bite in Squamish! My beef burger was prepared with fresh ingredients and the side salad was an excellent substitute option for fries, for those looking for a healthier meal. The staff were friendly and the ambiance was great. There's plenty of seats and tons of natural light coming into this low key, casual space.

Definitely go to Locavore for their delicious salmon filet burger and roasted cauliflower quinoa salad. The roasted cauliflower is sometimes drier, resulting in a less tasty dish. The cabbage kale slaw was really good. I wish it was available as a full size salad! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Dog friendly. Small play structure between the Locavore/XMarket building and the red buildings. Happy hour daily from 3pm-5pm. $4 select beer/$16 pitcher and 10% off taps. Full bar. Self-serve water. Frequently cleaned tables. Clean restrooms. Two singles plus a family restroom (has a changing table).

One line review: A pleasant stop when headed north. My wife and I were on a day trip visiting waterfalls north of Vancouver and decided to stop off here for lunch. It was a good pick. Locavore is a food truck-based restaurant with plenty of tables for well-ventilated dining -- some covered and lots of open air seating, perfectly positioned for the COVID-19 season, at least in the summer. They pride themselves on using fresh local ingredients, and our food definitely reflected that priority. We ordered: - Two salmon burgers (fresh, mildly seasoned, on a portuguese bun which was crustier on the outside and soft on the inside -- a great pick for this kind of sandwich) - Cabbage Kale salad (again, fresh and mildly seasoned; just a hint of citrus) - Potato wedges (these were noticeably good -- crispy on the outside, still potato-y on the inside) -- a definite cut above what one might expect. We enjoyed their outdoor dining area, and patrons seemed conscious of staying distanced. Locavore provided sanitizing resources -- always appreciated. They also had a bathroom area centrally located and easy to access. Ordering is at counter, and you pick up at a different location (a trailer across the dining area) when they call your name. Service was pleasant, though not memorable. Parking was free in their private lot. On the day we went, we had no trouble finding a spot, but it was pretty full. Bottom line: This was a very good food experience, and we will likely do it again on a trip north.

Greenhouse now a Bar & Grill

Just off the highway a greenhouse has been converted into a bar and grill. With a few Happy Hour drink options and a food truck with solid food, it works for a full meal or just a bite. Kids playground and little clothing store next to it allows you and the kids to look around or burn some energy.

Dog friendly patio with awesome views

Can I go ten stars? This place is a dog and kid parent's dream come true. There is a wonderful dog friendly patio with amazing views. There is also a playground for kiddos in the overall complex. Also in the complex is an ice cream shop and a coffee shop with pastries. But the shining star is locovore. Best I can tell it started as a vagabond food truck with amazing, healthy food. Now it has expanded to a full on outdoor bar and grill with lots of sheltered space to keep you dry and warm should the weather not be great. My two year old is now obsessed with donair meat. I'm obsessed with being able to pop in mid-run with the kid and the pooch to get a snack and a beer. Why doesn't this exist in Seattle? I might just have to move permanently to Squamish and Locovore is going to be a big reason why I do.

What a neat spot we stumbled upon! Very Covid safe. Open air picnic tables, food truck style, but quality of food was top notch. Healthy, fresh, clean and generous servings. I felt that I got what I paid for. It is now our for sure destination when stopping in for a pit stop, to and from Whistler. And convenient location just off the highway too.

    Donair and potato wedges

Perfect place to grab lunch after a long hike, which is what my friends and I did. There was a cute outdoor seating area with tons of tables. Locavore offers a bunch of healthy options. We tried to the donair and potato wedges. The donair was filled with meat and veggies which made it taste super fresh. I would highly recommend. The potato wedges on the other hand were not my favorite. I was expecting fries but they were more like roasted potatoes. Not crispy at all but they were very well seasoned.

Bahn Mi sandwich with avocado, egg and bacon!

The food was very good. 2nd best burger I have eaten in Canada. The patatoes were yummy. The food did take a while to come out though.

I'm not sure if this spot is seasonal, but it appears they have a place in the town of Squamish as well now. It's a bit hard to get to this camp site if you don't know where you're going. Located off the highway across from Shannon Falls which is next to the Sea to Sky Highway, I imagine it's a lot more popular during the high tourist season. This unassuming food outlet seems to serve campers mostly, but this is a great option for those visiting the attractions I mentioned above. There's only a picnic table outside, but it was raining so we ate in our car. The service by one of the owners was amazing. Very friendly, offering suggestions and information. The food itself was amazing. You don't expect such good quality and thought being put in the food ordered from a window in an old building. It was healthy (plenty of vegetables), satisfying as well as flavourful and nuance. E.g. They didn't just put a whole bunch of sauces in the bowl. Portions were a good size and they have a large variety of their asian fusion dishes including vegan options. Apparently they smoke their own Philipino pork bbq too. They ran out of theit "famous" dessert when we visited unfortunately. But I'm sure it would have been delicious as they know what they're doing! We'd definitely visit them again if we were in the area.

It could have more wok hei and holy basil but we are in the Sunshine Coast. And this is really good Thai food in this area. The pad Kaprao was spicy though not so bad that you won't taste anything else. I could tolerate spice and had requested for medium spicy. This could be customized to non or mild spicy. The flavor profile was pretty spot on and the fried egg was perfection with the runny yolk. The portion was quite big for the lunch menu. You could request for dinner size portion for extra $2. I think the food truck home is now at the parking lot of Tsain-Ko Centre, near Lordco and the liquor store. Watch out for Tim Hortons, where you could turn in.
