Dog friendly which is awesome and condiments are free to grab which is uncommon! For the price of $150 for 4 adults and a baby and wait time of 40 minutes for food, the meals aren't amazing. One line review: A pleasant stop when headed north. My wife and I were on a day trip visiting waterfalls north of Vancouver and decided to stop off here for lunch. It was a good pick. Locavore is a food truck-based restaurant with plenty of tables for well-ventilated dining -- some covered and lots of open air seating, perfectly positioned for the COVID-19 season, at least in the summer. They pride themselves on using fresh local ingredients, and our food definitely reflected that priority. We ordered: - Two salmon burgers (fresh, mildly seasoned, on a portuguese bun which was crustier on the outside and soft on the inside -- a great pick for this kind of sandwich) - Cabbage Kale salad (again, fresh and mildly seasoned; just a hint of citrus) - Potato wedges (these were noticeably good -- crispy on the outside, still potato-y on the inside) -- a definite cut above what one might expect. We enjoyed their outdoor dining area, and patrons seemed conscious of staying distanced. Locavore provided sanitizing resources -- always appreciated. They also had a bathroom area centrally located and easy to access. Ordering is at counter, and you pick up at a different location (a trailer across the dining area) when they call your name. Service was pleasant, though not memorable. Parking was free in their private lot. On the day we went, we had no trouble finding a spot, but it was pretty full. Can I go ten stars? This place is a dog and kid parent's dream come true. There is a wonderful dog friendly patio with amazing views. There is also a playground for kiddos in the overall complex. Also in the complex is an ice cream shop and a coffee shop with pastries. But the shining star is locovore. Best I can tell it started as a vagabond food truck with amazing, healthy food. Now it has expanded to a full on outdoor bar and grill with lots of sheltered space to keep you dry and warm should the weather not be great. My two year old is now obsessed with donair meat. I'm obsessed with being able to pop in mid-run with the kid and the pooch to get a snack and a beer. Why doesn't this exist in Seattle? I might just have to move permanently to Squamish and Locovore is going to be a big reason why I do. read more

So I would not rate the food as exceptional (but definitely good!) but what makes this place a repeat stop is the beer garden style setting. I guess the complex in Squamish where Locavore resides deserves the credit but how it works is you get your food from any vendor, ice cream,.. beer,.. and sit out beer hall style oor under cover in sort of large covered, but not quite full indoor airplane hangers. It is just really well done. Locavore has nice sandwiches, salads, and burgers and doesn't skimp on the tasty (and presumably) local veggies. They lay the sauce on thick too (not everyone likes that). For sure go here once and see if it matches your preferences - if nothing else you will fill your belly and get a sense of the community of Squamish with some local flavour in a great addition to the area. read more

Perfect place to grab lunch after a long hike, which is what my friends and I did. There was a cute outdoor seating area with tons of tables. Locavore offers a bunch of healthy options. We tried to the donair and potato wedges. The donair was filled with meat and veggies which made it taste super fresh. I would highly recommend. The potato wedges on the other hand were not my favorite. I was expecting fries but they were more like roasted potatoes. Not crispy at all but they were very well seasoned. read more

Just a ridiculously horrible customer service experience. We sat outside, ordered at the bar, picked up our own food but were charged 18% gratuity despite getting absolutely no service. We were part of a group but everyone ordered in small groups of 2's or 4's since there was no table service and there was only 15-20 of us total. Why the gratuity charge for no table service? We would have eaten and had more drinks but the staffs attitude drove us away. First time here and I will not return and I recommend that you avoid Locavore as well. Update: when our food arrived, of our four orders we were missing one main and one side. The awful experience would just would not end. Too be fair, bartender was very sympathetic and tried to help but the Manager was clueless and could not seem to handle the situation and sent the poor bartender out with our missing food instead of addressing it herself. read more

This place is conveniently located next to a shopping complex with ample seating (inside and outside) for big groups. However the food and service here was subpar. We got veggie burgers and a side of wedges and pita/hummus. The service was super slow, took almost 30 mins and it wasn't even crowded. The food we did get was cold and disappointing (wedges were undercooked). The "default" 18% gratuity is also laughably absurd for a food truck with no table service. read more

Have dropped by this place a couple times to / from hikes near Squamish this summer and have really enjoyed the food for the most part. Service is friendly, the food comes out fresh and fast, and there is at least one vegetarian option for those who don't eat meat. My vegan friend really enjoyed the veggie burger and quinoa. I once tried the Donair upon the rave review of another patron, but I wasn't a fan. I found the meat tasted too bland and two dimensional, so I won't be ordering that again, but the Porchetta is a win - my favorite so far! read more

This is my favourite place in Squamish. Saying a food truck is my favourite place is just because of the lack of good restaurants in the area, but also the excellence of the sandwiches they prepare. Service is friendly and kitchen works fast the most of the times. I would say the porchetta is the best sandwich, with very nice bread.
