It has been a while since I came here, so it is time for an update. The food is great as always, and prices are okay, but the quality never suffered even after Covid. Prices may be a little higher, but it is worth saying it again the quality and the amount of food still the same. For this reason, it gets 5 Stars. Service- as always, is great. The owner is still serving the customers. She is professional, service with a smile, and attentive. Ambiance is positive, and it can be loud, especially if there are lots of people. Overall, it is clean and welcoming. This is one of the few sushi places that I recommend for all to try in Surrey, BC. read more

This is a lovely mom & pop shop located in Surrey. I love how innovative their rolls are with massive portion sizes. The sushi quality is great for the price of their menu. We've come here a few times, nice little hole in the wall. Usually busy with a lot of takeout orders due to the small interior, but still has quick service. We ordered the "Play for 2 B" which includes 2 miso soups, spicy sashimi salad, red dragon roll, crazy SAC roll, appy tempura and agedashi tofu. Needless to say this could've filled way more than 2 people. The sashimi salad was massive and was full of spicy sashimi. That could be shared between two people easily. The crazy sac roll was delicious and crispy. The red dragon roll was really fresh. And the tempura and tofu was light and crispy. My favorite sushi place in Surrey. One of my friends wanted miso but everyone else didn't want one and the waitress gave the whole table free miso. She was so kind! On my birthday I ordered from here and they drew cute little art on the take out boxes! The portions, quality and price were too good compared to any other places in BC. My favorite thing to order is the Spicy salmon sashimi salad. I crave it every week and I'm no longer in BC anymore so I really miss it. Came here with a couple of friends. Surrey doesn't have a lot of sushi options. But I have to say Nagoya Sushi was pretty good. I ordered the sashimi and sushi combo for $16.95. The price was definitely at the super high end. It was very expensive for the amount of sushi I got. But like I said there are not a lot of good sushi options in Surrey. It is located in a remote area. Good thing there are plenty of free parking here. I also tried the california unagi roll. It was really good. Also the flavor for the gomae was perfect too. However, for me to commute and pay a premium at this place. I don't think it is worth it unless I live in the neighborhood. As a tip order the don (Salmon don and etc.). The dons are bigger portion. My friend got the salmon don for $12.95 and there were 8 thick slices of salmon. It looked very delicious. However the bowl is flat and it does look like a bigger portion than the other dishes. 8 slices of salmon was a better deal than my salmon an sashimi combo. There were already more fish for the price in the don than the combo. The miso soup and tempura were ok. I would only come back unless my friends want to. Great dine in, horrible take out. I'll recommend you to not order take out from here. I ordered simply 2 sushi rolls, that would take around 10-15 min max, they told us to wait 40 min, ok that's fine, I show up 40 min later and they tell me to wait, saying it's almost ready and saying 5 more minutes for over 30 min! A friend and I wanted to grab some sushi near where we work, so we settled on Nagoya sushi. We must have come just before the lunch rush, as the tables quickly filled up, with people coming in to pick up their food as well, which was promising. They have an extensive menu with lots of different items. I had the sunomuno salad and sashimi - there was nothing special about the items; portion size was average, the sashimi came as generous slices, and it didn't give me the runs, which is always a good sign. My friend ordered the ramen - I highly suspect it to be the prepackaged kind. They have bento boxes available at lunch, if you're looking for a decent meal at a reasonable price. What prompted me to write this review was the immense tobiko on the dragon roll, so many places will give the smallest portion but they do not! Love this place for the fleetwood area! Tried this place out due to good reviews and I wanted to treat myself after a brutal workout. I ordered the unagi roll and spicy tuna roll. Unagi roll I like how saucy this was. The rice was warm, kind if strange, but it cooled down quickly. Spicy Tuna Roll The sushi itself was so cold compared to eating the unagi roll. It's not spicy, they just put spicy mayo on top. Taste for both isn't bad, but consistency in temperature would be nice. They delivered my two rolls within 2 minutes, wow! Ill be back to try more rolls if I work out in that area. I've had 1/2/3 Michelin Star sushi in Japan, tried all the top rated Omakase in the lower mainland, but I can't tell you how much I love Nagoya Sushi. This hidden little gem of Surrey serves some of the best Tempura and sushi cones I've ever had. My wife and I order take out (because it's hard eating in with infant twins) and it never falls short of fulfilling our sushi cravings. Our usual order includes the following: Half Prawn Tempura*** Yam Tempura*** Black Dragon Roll*** BC Cones*** Spicy Tuna Cones** Salmon Maki Various pieces of Nigiri Chicken wings to go aren't great but I could imagine they'd be very good consumed fresh. Their Tamago Nigiri could also be improved - didn't like it the first time, tried a few orders later and it did not improve - meaning their Tamago recipe could use some tweaking. Service is great, small restaurant that could see waits during peak hours, but I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a meal that won't disappoint. NO!! they have cut back their portions and the quality has suffered a bit. I like ordering the Chirashi Don because I love the raw sashimi I get with the rice bowl. Wow did the ever scale back and I thought maybe they got my order wrong. But nope they served me almost half the size or portion of what I used to get. Wtf happened here? No surf clam, no sweet egg not as much sashimi as before. I can't understand how they could've dived into such an abyss. Cost saving? Sorry Nagoya you will no longer be getting my business. I've been coming here for a few years now and they never fail to deliver great food and amazing sushi. You pay a good price for big portions. And very fresh fish, with great sauce to compliment it. Even when you call for pick up they still treat your food as if you were dining inside their restaurant. The friendliness of the staff is amazing. They welcome you right when you enter in the door and treat you like family. If you are a regular they make it a thing to remember what you like and recommend new things for you to try. The speed is great. You never have to wait too long to receive your food, even when you call in for pick up. If you are a big sushi fan you have to done here. And bring your friends and family too! The staff was very quick to acknowledge your presence and seat you promptly with water and menus. Very friendly staff and checks up on you in between meals and refill water. The food was excellent at its finest fresh and delicious. Pricing are reasonably fair for the portions, taste and presentation. Ambiance was calming and quiet with a soothing background music for a small place like this. Good to relax and take time to eat without rushing anything. I used to love Nagoya, especially the Nagoya combo. So it was surprise to K and I that the recent combo we had was NOTHING like it used to be. Rated number one sushi in Fleetwood for a reason! Very yummy sushi indeed. My boyfriend always orders from them so I thought I would give it a try. My usual spot was inconventiantlg closed and I had been craving yam sushi rolls for months. We ordered takeout on Valentine's Day. Every sushi place I've been too has not had comparable yam rolls to my regular sushi place. However, I would rate Nagoya's tempura yam roll to be equally as good.. if not, better! It was perfectly crisp and the portions were huge. We also ordered the crispy roll which was a deep fried roll with avacado, cucumber and imitation crab (the best non-vegetarian roll I've ever had).. definitely a must-try! We also ordered the BC roll which I wasn't a huge fan of but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable.. I paid about 20 bucks for 4 rolls and extra spicey mayo sauce on the side (never TOO MUCH SAUCE). Haha They had very timely takeout service. The only downside is that there isn't much parking nearby. We were looking for an all you can eat place but couldn't find a sushi place where we would be guaranteed to not get sick or bad service. Instead, we opted to try Nagoya Sushi because the Yelp reviews were favorable to the food, service, and price. My, oh my, did they deliver! What a wonderful dining experience! The place is tiny (4 booths and a couple tables) but they are kid friendly (we had a 1 year old making lots of noise and no one blinked an eye). The food was delicious! An extensive menu with lots of choices, lots of different combination ideas, and the portions are downright American! The servers were friendly, helpful, and asked us several times if we needed anything/ was everything okay?, etc. We will come back here everytime we are in town, that's for sure! read more

When my gf and I first moved to Surrey from Coquitlam we were worried that we wouldn't be able to find a good sushi place in a very heavy Indian community. While there were a ton of Indian Sweet/Curry shops everywhere we couldn't find a sushi place that really suited to our taste! My friend Chris W. recommended this place since he's been living in the city for over 20 years so that afternoon we headed over there. I was literally blown away with the quality of the food and the staff. There was one in particular that always went above and beyond; food came quickly, friendly conversation and our tea cups were never empty. We have come back here at least once every two weeks to get our sushi fix and their new feature black rice makes everything quite tasty.
