This restaurant is located within the Semiahmoo Shopping Center complex. Although there is a large parking lot, it is usually quite full during peak hours. The restaurant itself is spacious inside and the menu offers a wide selection sushi and bento options. The service is mediocre since I had to wave down the waiter several times. The food came out after about 15 minutes and was hit-or-miss. The Takoyaki balls were delicious, but the sushi rolls were average. The beef bento box was drenched in Teriyaki sauce.

Food is not authentic. Sashimi is not fresh, you can tell it from the taste color. Service is terrible. They clean the table during our lunch. We haven't finished our meal yet, but the server took my tea cup already. They rush the customers, come to ask us to pay the bill even though we're still eating.

This place is seriously legit, it's warm and welcoming from the moment you walk through the front door. I've been looking for a ramen place closer to me than my usual spot and Sapporo didn't disappoint. The food was ace - the ramen broth (I had the veggie) was so flavourful & it was loaded with veggies. It comes with a side (I had the California rolls). The beef teriyaki bento box was also very nice. The servers were lovely, very attentive, despite it being the lunchtime rush.

Been to this place a few times both with friends and on my own. Food and service are always good! Strongly recommend their dinner sets - especially the Sapporo set and sashimi set - which contain very fresh sashimi and generously portioned. The sockeye salmon and hamachi are always kick! Aburi sushi (assorted) is not always stable. The notate (scallop) and toro were worth recommending. Service: really nice, seems to be operated by Koreans Environment: ordinary but tidy, always full in dinner time

I was so disappointed I got the seafood yakisoba and my wife got a bento box The seafood in my yakisoba was all over cooked The calamari was like chewing a rubber band The shrimp and mussels were also tough She did like the bento box

Fast service, friendly staff, and creative plating! I was genuinely surprised by the quality. I had the Semiahmoo Set (big enough for 2), spicy sockeye salmon sashimi (very fresh), and caterpillar roll (loved the plating). Looking forward to coming back for more!

Food and service always good. Sapporo dinner set is large enough for two people. If your hungry, take it on yourself

The sashimi was quite fresh and the taste was very delicious! The service was excellent.

Great sushi and vibe! I'm visiting BC for the first time. My friend (a local) highly recommended Sapporo Kitchen. I was very impressed by their menu. They have a fantastic Nigiri, Aburi, and Oshi selection. Their signature rolls were inventive and delicious. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. Their dinner set is a great alternative if you want to try various things at once. They also have plenty of vegan options. Their prices are right for the amount of food and quality you get. I could not finish my order and even had left overs. Highly recommended !

Sapporo Kitchen is shared by the same complex as the Semiahmoo mall parking lot. There was a wait time about 10 minutes for evening dinner. No worries, the restaurant is fully packed with restaurant patrons and they do take safety precautions. I was worried about having sushi food in this South Surrey area very close to White Rock, but the outcome was better than I expected. It all started in the beginning of waiting. The host was very nice in providing hot tea while I wait for my table. NOW that is something I never had before for waiting to dine in. Ordered the following: SET B Unagi Don, Sashimi, (salmon, tuna, hamachi), chicken kaarage, salad, and tuna carpaccio. This SET B has great value with quality and quantity. I really enjoyed this dish and highly recommended if not sure what to order. Sexy Dance YES! It is literally called the sexy dance. And it sure was a delight to eat. But I must warn you that since there's no rice in this set of 5, it is wrapped with thinly sliced cucumber with a content of tuna, salmon, hamachi, ebi, and avocado. Avocado Maki roll This option for vegetarians. Pretty good, can't go wrong with this choice. It's good if you need a light snack, but keep in mind this won't fill your hunger. Korroke Mashed potatoes with veggie, also a great vegetarian option. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and way better than I expected. Highly recommend if eating patrons are near the White Rock area.

I've dined in and ordered takeout more than a handful of times at the Ladner location, but I had yet to visit their location in Surrey, until a few weeks ago. The manfriend and I were craving sushi for lunch, so we decided to pop in to satisfy our craving. We walked in and were able to get a seat right away. During Covid times tables are socially distant, staff are masked up, they take your info for contact tracing, and there are plenty of hand sanitizers throughout the restaurant. We both decided to order Bento Lunch Box - A for him C for me, as well as an order of the appetizer tempura. Everything came out quickly and we were in and out of there within the hour. One thing I do have to mention is I didn't find the food as fresh as it normally is from the other location - the tempura was quite soggy, the miso soup was cold, and some of the rice in the roll was hard. Besides that, the flavour was still delicious and the service was fabulous. Our water and teas were never empty. Since this is located in a plaza, there is plenty of free parking. Between Sapporo and Two Guys, we've found our South Surrey sushi spots!

Just on the outskirts of White Rock is a little shopping centre called Semiahmoo Shopping Centre. When we visited in early September, it looked like they were doing a bunch of renovations in the mall but we were really here to try out Sapporo Kitchen (a Japanese restaurant located outside the shopping centre). We ordered the Semiahmoo Set ($15.95 lunch special) and the Leo Set ($15.95 lunch special) and then enhanced our meal with an order of Oyster Motoyaki ($9.95). The Semiahmoo Set includes unagi don, edamame, tempura, and seafood udon. The udon here was quite good and I enjoyed the tender and slippery noodles. The Leo Set includes 10pc sashimi (wild salmon, tuna, hokkigai, tai, and tako), beef teriyaki, California roll, ebi sunomono, and tempura. The sashimi was quite fresh and I thought this was a good value for the quality and quantity of food you get. I was a bit surprised that the Oyster Motoyaki was prepared and served on a ceramic escargot baking dish (used to having this served in the shell - but I know there are some concerns about the cleanliness of the shells). It's difficult to see the oysters in the picture but they're there... under all that creamy sauce and mixed in with onions and corn. It was an okay dish. Overall, I was very impressed by their lunch specials as they come with a good variety of items and they're all prepared quite well.

Now our fave! First time to visit with the family and we loved everything! My top fave was the Salmon Oshi but everything was delicious and top notch. The place was lit too making your photos look great. Reasonably priced too and the servings are pretty decent. A hidden gem in South Surrey, we will surely be back :)

Tenpura - seafood (slice of fish, seafood stuffed vegetable and vegetable(shiitake) 9 pieces of sushi Daily miso soup - clam Dessert - kinako and mitarashi dango Chawan mushi was great. I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. I wish this item could be a bit more softer and buttery, but it was still good. Akaebi(red shrimp) and Hokkaido sea urchin - Lightly torched the top of sea urchin and its smokiness brought out more sweetness flavor of Akaebi(red shrimp) Hokkaido Scallop - Very smooth, soft and nice texture. Delicious. Kinmedai(Gold eye snapper) -- My favorite. Texture was very soft and chewy, It was great item. Hokkaido sea urchin - Actually, this one was just ok. I wish it could be more creamy. The kid doesn't have sashimi. But again it is $1 per age of the kid. The food here was very delicious. The sashimi was a bit on the small end but it was ok. They have prawn tempura in their AYCE menu. I came here for lunch so it was only $32 per person which was not bad. Last call is 30 minutes before closing, so don't come too late in the evening. Sushi here is quite fresh. Selection is not the largest, but it's pretty decent. The one glaring thing that stood out is that other than chicken/beef teriyaki, there are no hot food items (skewers, karaage, ribs etc.). I'm not going to hold this against them, but it's definitely something to keep in mind before showing up. On the other hand, there is no limit for the ice cream scoops at the end. Beautiful. They have chocolate and vanilla. Worth checking out if one is in the area. Recommended.
