I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. We love Japanese cuisine so I decided to surprise the hubby with an omakase for his birthday in January. Unfortunately, they have a 6-month wait and I was not prepared so I ended up booking it for our anniversary in May. The food was phenomenal and delicious! I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!

We found it originally because I had a hankering for japanese after being in Vegas for 4 days and being food gluttons on rich food. I also ordered the dynamite roll, favourite. I will definitely be back here, yummmm. A sweet family owned business, I highly recommend it.

Both orders were fresh and quite a filler! The Ebi pop pop roll was a fun choice with the fried shrimp on top. Nice to try for the first time, but I'd probably go for a roll that is a little more different next time because the roll itself was your good ol' California roll which was quite similar to the roll that was in the Sashimi Box. Overall a good place to stop by for some Japanese eats with family.

Because I came in for my free bowl, Miso Ramen was only option for me. My sister ordered Sesame Ramen with chicken chashu and same with broth. Mine contained pork chashu with pork broth. Food was okay. My noodle was clumpy which I didn't like. Chashu was tender, but I didn't favour pork broth. It just felt bit heavy in my personal opinion. I'm sorry to say food wasn't too memorable at all. My sister and I felt so thirsty after eating as the food was also salty. I felt thankful for a free bowl of Miso Ramen, but the food wasn't impressive. Staff were nice and friendly though.

After looking over the menu, we placed our order for some sashimi, oshi and gyoza. Food arrived after a short wait. Sashimi was fresh. They were deep fried nicely and super crispy. Service was great. Our server checked up on us regularly to refill water, removed dirty plates and asked if we needed anything else. Prices a bit higher than average, but the quality of the food was good.

I recently dined at The Katsu Japanese Cutlet House and came away genuinely impressed by both the…read morequality of the food and the overall experience. The restaurant has a cozy, no-frills interior with dark wood tables and a casual, welcoming atmosphere. It's not a place that tries to be trendy or upscale--instead, it focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well, and that's serving perfectly executed katsu. The space can get busy, which is always a good sign, but the service remains efficient and friendly without feeling rushed. I started with the Assorted Katsu, which is easily the best choice if you want to experience the full range of what they offer. The plate was generously portioned, featuring pork, chicken, fish, and shrimp katsu alongside rice, shredded cabbage salad, pickles, and dipping sauces. The standout here is the texture--the panko coating is incredibly crisp, light, and airy without feeling greasy. Each type of katsu had its own distinct character: the pork was juicy and rich, the chicken tender and moist, the fish delicate and flaky, and the shrimp firm with a satisfying bite. The tonkatsu sauce added a sweet and savory depth, while the creamy dressing complemented both the meat and the cabbage perfectly. I also tried the Kimchi Cheese Katsu Nabe, which was a completely different but equally enjoyable experience. Served bubbling in a hot stone bowl, it combined crispy katsu with a tangy, slightly spicy kimchi broth and a generous layer of melted cheese. The contrast of flavors was excellent--the kimchi brought brightness and heat, while the cheese added richness and balance. As the katsu soaked in the broth, the outer layer softened slightly but still retained enough texture, while the inside remained juicy. It's definitely a heavier dish, but incredibly comforting and satisfying. One element that really stood out was the cabbage salad. Finely shredded and topped with a light creamy dressing, it provided a refreshing crunch that balanced out the richness of the fried dishes. It might seem simple, but it plays an essential role in keeping the meal from feeling overwhelming. Paired with the warm rice, pickles, and soup, everything comes together as a well-rounded set rather than just a plate of fried food. Overall, this place delivers exactly what you want from a katsu restaurant: consistently crispy cutlets, generous portions, and thoughtful balance in every meal. While the interior is simple and it can get busy, the food more than makes up for it. I would absolutely recommend trying the Assorted Katsu for variety and the Kimchi Cheese Katsu Nabe if you're in the mood for something rich and bold. It's a spot I'll definitely be returning to.

The space is understandably understated especially during the Christmas season. Totally ok with the lack of the holiday. We were sat quickly, water dropped right away. It's larger than we thought with two separate areas which would be great if you had a large party. Knowing little about the experience we ordered the mixed Katsu experience and the cheese Katsu, understanding as we always do that we will share the food. The cheese Katsu said right on the menu one order per table, which now makes sense. Eating four pieces of it is just simply too much cheese, so plan on one half per person, hence the one per table. The mixed Katsu had, prawn, fish, chicken and pork portions which were very tasty and a good quantity. Both came with accompanying salad and rice which rounded out the meal. The salad was excellent and the rice was well cooked. We will be back for sure, hopefully with more folks so we can experiment more.
