We came here for dinner after picking my friend up from the tsawwassen ferry terminal. She was craving some sashimi. We got here around 720 pm and it was fairly busy on a Sunday night. Many of the customers were having the AYCE option. ($39.95 weekend dinner, $28.95 weekend lunch. $1 less on weekdays). We decided to just order from the regular menu as we were not very hungry. My friend had the salmon avocado roll and tuna sashimi. The sashimi slices were very generous. My partner and I shared the sashimi bento box and a house roll. The sashimi slices from the bento box were less thick and were the typical size. The tempura was crispy and not too oily. The house roll was ok. The food was fresh and filling. Service was ok. They did come round to top up our water and tea. I'll want to come back to try the AYCE lunch someday. Parking is available in the plaza.

Tucked inside the Nordel Crossing Centre at the corner of Nordel Way and 120th Street in Surrey, this sushi joint was our pick for a casual Thursday afternoon bite around 4:30 p.m. The place wasn't busy, which gave us a chance to settle in and take our time. My wife went for the Sushi Cup--a colourful DIY bowl featuring your choice of two proteins (she picked salmon and tuna), plus avocado, veggies, toppings, and sauce. Think of it as a build-your-own poke-style salad. It arrived in a generous bowl, ready to be tossed like a sushi-inspired garden mix. I opted for Bento Box A with teriyaki beef, which came with miso soup and a small sunomono salad. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't come out together. My bento showed up first, and like a polite husband, I waited for my wife's Sushi Cup to arrive--TWENTY minutes later. By then, my beef was lukewarm, but to its credit, still quite tasty. It was a hot summer day, and we weren't in the mood for the All You Can Eat option, though it seemed popular and reasonably priced. We might circle back for that on a cooler day with bigger appetites. The interior is clean and uncluttered--nothing fancy but tidy enough. Service was... functional. No warm welcome or farewell, and oddly, the server dropped off the bill without asking if we wanted dessert or drinks. (Was it something we said?) Will we be back? Probably. It's decent, convenient, and has potential. But for now, it doesn't quite crack our top three sushi spots.

Came to try the AYCE sushi with a few friends. Sushi was okay, not terrible for an AYCE place but could be better as well. For the price (~$20-25 USD) I think you can't really complain. You get a singular piece of paper for ordering, where you can mark down the number of portions you want for each item. There are only 2 rounds on the paper, but I think you can just add more items if you wanted to by asking the staff. Also worth noting that the nigiris here are just single pieces, rather than 2 like most places, so pay attention to that when ordering. There wasn't a huge amount of seating inside, and we ended up waiting for around an hour around 1pm on a Sunday. Staff was decently friendly.

Note this review is for All You Can Eat as I've not tried their regular menu. I love the variety of an AYCE menu but most of the time the quality is just not there.Nordel sushi is a hidden gem! The dinner menu which is more extensive is available all day. Great service, attentive and friendly. Many of their items are available by the piece, and most rolls come with 3-4 pieces of which I really appreciate so that if you only want 1-2 pieces you don't have to commit to a huge roll or portion. If you're not used to All You Can Eat here's a tip- order just enough or a little less than you think you'll need want to eat- you can always order more, and then you avoid wasting food and/or feeling pressured to overeat.

Embarrassed to admit that we went to for AYCE for our first wedding anniversary lol.. price $40.. we were impressed with the sublimely fresh salmon sashimi.. limit of 20 pieces per person at dinner, which I thought was fair for the price. Selection was pretty limited but the food was fresh and good.. we both agreed that we probably would've had leftovers to take home if we ordered $80 worth of food off their a la carte menu.. looked through their menu and a la carte prices seem very reasonable. Next time we'll try that instead

Spicy tuna and spicy salmon was ketchup flavored and the Worst flavoring! Garbage!

Visiting from Los Angeles. This place has to be one of the most mediocre AYCE Sushi I have ever been too. Yes they give you limited sashimi that is the highlight, but DONT ORDER THE "SPICY TUNA OR SPICY SALMON". They literally slap on some Ketchup based flavoring that is the absolute WORST TASTING crap I have ever had on sashimi. Who the hell puts ketchup on Sashimi. The nigiri sushi has a big fat piece of rice thus filling you up faster. The bigger rice I guess makes you full faster and less able to eat other stuff. Also balances the limited sashimi you get.

Wanted to try something different as for the last fricken 4 years has been same in the neighbourhood sushi but the servers and cooks as well owners keep changing which means the tastes as well prices are different. Did a trusty yelp search and see this place popup and its AYCE! Ok price seems ok and reviews seem more positive than negative so let's go! Basically it was too dark but the interior has these beautiful cherry blossoms and we had AYCE for 3. Was pretty empty for 1pm but by the time or food came it was packed! The portions are minuscule and there is a limit of how many pieces you can order so be prepared. There are 2 super quick friendly waitresses and there are 2 unfriendly ignore you in the face with attitude. Hence the 2 stars. Honestly for the price I would rather get a lunch box or maybe pay couple dollars more and do a dinner AYCE, or else go get takeout at akari. Will try again sometime before 2021....

3p sashimi for 3 person max!

There weren't many sushi options. We went for the all-you-can-eat deal, but they had a maximum of 10 pieces of sashimi per person. How is that all-you-can-eat? There were also only a few choices of rolls. Paid 30 Cad $. Not coming back here.

I have been eating at Nordel Sushi for a number of years now. They usually do a decent AYCE (Not during the COVID obviously) but right now I've been enjoying their take out. The food is pretty typical of your average sushi restaurant, but I find they have great portion sizes, and fairly good value for what you pay. I can comfortably eat lunch there for $15 and be quite full, but my usual go to is the tuna combo and tonkatsu. The tuna combo has sashimi, nigiri, and a tuna roll! The tonkatsu is always well fried and the rice and salad is palatable. Is there better sushi in Richmond, Burnaby, and Vancouver? You bet! Am I willing to drive there when my office is 5 minutes from Nordel Sushi? Hell no. I've taken coworkers here and customers, never been disappointed.

Beef teriyaki is tough and thick not good. I am on keto so cannot have teriyaki chicken。

We love Japanese cuisine so I decided to surprise the hubby with an omakase for his birthday in January. Unfortunately, they have a 6-month wait and I was not prepared so I ended up booking it for our anniversary in May. The food was phenomenal and delicious! I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!
