I've never gone wrong with Sapporo. It's very clean, with friendly staff, in a nice restaurant. I've enjoyed every dish that I've had at Sapporo and am always ready to go there again. read more

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants here in White Rock. It has delicious sushi and ramen noodles. The restaurant itself inside looks pretty good. Personally, though, I don't really like the asparagus in some of the sushi. read more

We went to this restaurant and ordered Set B and Set C for the first time. We had high expectations, yet we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. The sashimi was not fresh at all, and very cold inside. It seemed like they just came out from freezer right away. Also, the chicken karaage was very dry and not crispy at all. However, what made us feel offended was nobody came to us when we basically had our hand up for bill for A LONG TIME! Eventually I had to stand up and wave to them. I even tried to "yell" hello to the waiters, but nobody came to us especially when the restaurant was not that busy at all at that time. One chef from the open kitchen seemed to have eye contact with us but he chose to just ignore us without even notifying the nearby waiter to help us. We were very sad about this terrible service and food. read more

We visited Sapporo Kitchen with my family because my friends strongly recommended for us to visit there. When we entered the restaurant, we felt very warm and cozy atmosphere to have nice family meal. We ordered assorted sashimi, rolls (Mr big rolls, original Mega rolls, Crunch rolls) and sushi. Taste was fantastic. I still have mouth watering. Chefs and servers were so kinds and nice. They made us feel great. We really enjoyed family dinner at Sapporo Kitchen. Definitely we will visit there in this weekend again. Super nice ~~ read more

I hesitate a bit when I use 5 stars, because what if I find a really spectacular place. But it is almost impossible not to give 5 stars here. Tonight the four of us shared hamachi nigiri, dragon roll, sexy dance, crispy crunch, crazy boy, caterpillar, and Steveston. This is Sushi Heaven! read more

Sapporo Kitchen - First timer for sushi - Japanese Near Me - Surrey, British Columbia

Went there for lunch after reading reviews & was quite disappointed. The chicken teriyaki was flavourless. California rolls were standard. The spicy mayo had a awful taste to it as well as the bottled soya sauce. Tempura was fresh. Miso soup had flavour to it. Salad was ok. I wanted to check it out but won't be returning Service was ok. Glad I only went for lunch and paid $13.13 for the meal. read more

Solid option for lunchtime dining. You can tell, the place is humming on weekday afternoons. After 3 takes, we think this is the best Japanese option in this part of metro Vancouver. We really liked the sashimi bowl, aburi sushi, the crispy fried vegetables and teriyaki sauces. read more

Our go to Sushi place in White Rock and great family restaurant. Good quality, good service and very clean. Great selection of traditional and also inventive options. Would give it 4.5 if I could. read more

popular place... well deserved cuz the food is quite good. excellent salmon sashimi - super fresh and perfect texture. But... can't give them full marks because: -they are very stingy with the sauces that accompany some dishes. - they never bothered to ask if we would like our tea refilled. - served us 5 pieces of an item listed as 6 pieces on the menu. We may be back but will try other adjacent places first. read more

BEST sushi in White Rock/ South Surrey. We have tried lots of places around here and this one is easily the best! The sushi is fresh, delicious, and well made. Teriyaki is the best around. And the presentation of everything was perfect. Fast service, and you're always greeted with happy faces when you enter the restaurant. read more

We went there for the first time. We thought it was owned by Japanese from the name of the restaurant, but it was owned by Koreans. Everyone was very nice. I was impressed by their tempura which was very crisp and nice. Their sushi was okay. The fish was good, but the rice for the sushi was too soft. They should go to some real Japanese sushi restaurants and see how they prepare their sushi rice, as the rice will make or break the sushi. read more

We are visiting from San Francisco and came across this cute place tonight as our Airbnb is close by here. So glad the Yelpers led us right again. The food was very yummy and the staff were very friendly. We had 2 different soup based ramen and chukah (spelling?) and all were delicious. This is one of those times where I wish my stomach was bigger and I didn't have to worry about gaining weight. read more

After the closing of my favorite Japanese restaurant, I have been trying to find somewhere else that is both not in Vancouver and doesn't break the bank. We had some miso soup before I ordered the Negitoro roll and Sexy Dancer special roll, while my parents enjoyed the scallop roll, some tempura and ebi sumonomo. All for under 50 bucks. Well worth the visit, I would definitely come again. read more

I love sushi. I think this is the best sushi I've ever had. I didn't eat anything raw (yes, I'm a chicken), but I had the Bento Box A with dark meat chicken. I don't even like dark chicken, but this was good. The dressing on the salad was delicious. The staff was great - very attentive. The restaurant was full. It was lunch on a Tuesday. There were a few large groups. Sopporo Kitchen is located in a small, outdoor mall at 16th and 152 day in White Rock, so there's lots of parking. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. You could tell there was a lot of noise, but it was insulated well enough that it wasn't noisy. I'll be going back and recommending it to friends for sure. I'm so glad my friend introduced me to this restaurant. read more

What a wonderful meal and visual experience! I started with a refreshing cocktail, the Cucumber sakitini...and it hit the spot! I couldn't help but notice and appreciate that the cucumber pcs. were cut out in the shape of a flower. Love the detail! Then even more detail came when the Red tuna sashimi arrived. It was presented so beautifully and the taste and texture of the sashimi was a delight! Quickly proceeding was the Original Mega Roll and the Mr. Big Roll. Oh my! Both were so delicious, but I definitely fell in love with the Mr.Big roll!! Overall, I was very impressed....excellent quality of food, creative presentation, fast service and lovely and friendly staff! Can't wait to go again! read more

This place serves quality food. High quality, well made, in a timely manner. Restaurant was clean and tidy, and staff was friendly. The sushi was good, flavoured well and in presented very nicely. Highly recommended. Only reason I wouldn't give give star is the prices are a bit high with less portions. IMO it would be even better if they balanced that a bit. The restaurant is hidden in between the mall facing the inside so it was a bit hard to find, but definitely a hidden gem if you like taste and quality sushi. read more

I happened to visit this sushi restaurant as my friends got hungry for sushi after we had a long meeting in White Rock. We didn't notice it was a sushi restaurant because there was no sign but the take out menu outside. This place was huge and seemed to offer fusion style sushi plates with a modern interior. We have ordered different types of dishes including nigiri sushi, my favorite. All of us were surprised with the beautiful deco and great taste as well. Sashimi and nigiri were so nicely done and served in perfect order. I just wondered how creative the chef was to make this beautiful foods. My favorite beer, Sapporo on tap, stimulated my strong appetite for more dishes. As I live in North Van, it seems too far to visit this place often. But, I made a decision to use this restaurant for my wife's birthday dinner with friends for sure. It was back in November when I had a dinner here but this restaurant pops up in my memory while I am planning my wife's birthday party today. I will be back in a few days. read more

THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME FAKE MONEY!! If i could give this no stars i would.. What a shady place. The food was ok sure, but the service was terrible our server brought our order then left to sit and eat in the corner, so getting refills was tedious, but the WORST PART is they tried to give me a counterfeit five dollar bill with my change!... I quickly realized it was fake from basic indications of the texture and light trick. I called her out on it and asked for a different five.. She didn't hesitate to give me a real one when i called her bullshit. Prior too, she looked like she was grabbing it from the side of the register.. She didnt even apologize just gave me a real bill because i didnt fall for it. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILLS! They may try to pull a fast one on you! Please let me know if anyone else experienced this criminal act. What a shady company karma has no mercy for the wicked. read more

Great spot! The sushi is nice and fresh, the ramen is especially great for those hung over days.

Delicious! Great service, always very fast, and reliable. Food is great, always hot and served so quickly. Awesome menu selection!

Awesome sushi place! The mango tango roll is incredible. So fresh and the perfect balance between hot and called. Also nice, hot, miso soup with good quality tofu. They are really big on presentation here and everything looks lovely. Some rolls even come with lights! Sometimes it is quite busy so service can be slower, but staff are always friendly and try to get things out as quick as possible. read more

Slow service, not enough staff, dirty table tops, appetizer came out after our mains (they had forgotten).

Higher-end dining experience. The service is very nice and servers/chefs were all very polite. Food came a bit on the slower side but we ordered quite a bit so that might be the reason why. The tonkatsu ramen is average, nothing special about it and you can find tons of better ramen places in Vancouver but it's nice to see ramen being served on the menu! What I really loved was the inari pocket appetizers, I would come here just for that appi cause it's so flavorful and delicious. Food presentation is clean and fancy. Overall it's not the best place in White Rock for sushi/japanese food but I'd come back because of the friendly service and those inari pockets! read more
