    Saba oshi

We were in the neighborhood and got hungry and decided to give Kami Sushi a try. I loved the interior decoration and ambiance of the restaurant and the staff were extremely friendly. Sushi was A+, we got the saba oshi, Victoria roll, white snow roll, and salmon shot. They were all extremely delicious, and I would highly recommend!

We've been planning to eat here and finally had the chance last Saturday. We were not disappointed, their food was yummy, their place was clean and had a great ambience, their service was awesome and very hospitable lastly, their value was worth it. We loved their Mary Kim and Ebimayonaise. My husband had the Teriyaki Chicken and was good too. This is definitely a hidden place in Morgan Crossing, we will surely be back.

Initial visit and IMPRESSED from the time we entered the restaurant until we departed with smiles & full stomachs! Were meeting a friend and arrived just as they were opening @ 4:30. A welcoming greeting in a clean well presenting environment. Must say the menu is impressive and all encompassing so allow yourself time to peruse. Starting with our "usual" Hamachi Nigiri; delicious properly prepared with the more than generous serving. Then on to the sushi; the Exotic rolls were well composed with comprehensive "flavors" of all ingredients, the Combo was composed with nicely varied selections. A very busy "take out" business which speaks well. We'll definitely return to sample other offerings in the future!

Found my favorite sushi role It's called Lion King roll, full of Crabb meat.

Fanastistic tempura and you have got to try the Baked Salmon Roll. Excellent customer service and nice dor. This made for a pleasant evening celebration of my wife's birthday

Food tastes ok but I do think it's overpriced for what you get. I would get a sushi roll next time instead of yakisoba Service was a bit slow but seemed like it was very full so it is understandable My carrot and broccoli were cold

I am surprised at reviews about service but those were many years ago. I have been here 3 times in the last few weeks and it is the fastest service I have received at a sushi place. I love that the ingredients are fresh and not over seasoned. The rolls are still unique and tasty without tonnes of sauce. The strawberry roll was a pleasant surprise. You know a sushi place is good when they have a strong basic sushi menu and it is fun when they get creative too. Each time I go I try a new item and I have yet to be disappointed. I am not a huge fan of the salads because I find they have too much dressing but you can always ask for it on the side. Plus, who goes for sushi and orders salad anyways? The tuna appetizer and sockey salmon sashimi are melt-in-your-mouth. I am glad this isn't so close to me or I would be eating there far too often for my own good. Prices are standard also compared to other sushi restaurants.

Seated right away. This is a small restaurant with high ceilings. Table seating as well as bar seating. They have a wide variety of assorted sushi and sashimi, and combos. However, if you love rolls, this is your place! There are 4-5 pages on their menu. Other offerings are party trays and, different udon and teriyaki. Drinks: limited selection of beer, wine and sake. Service was prompt and friendly. Complimentary edamame! Hamachi kama: Did not see it on the menu so we asked. The waitress didn't know what this was but she was happy to inquire. Here's the run down: Uni: good although when I get two different colored uni, I wonder about that. Deluxe sashimi (21 pieces): OK. Everything seemed to taste the same aside from the Spanish mackeral. Sweet shrimp: OK, although the heads could have been fried a little longer. I would conclude that everything tasted OK, but it wasn't a mind blowing experience enough for a return visit.

    Negitoro Roll?

I've been here 10 times or so. The quality is decent but it is pricey in my opinion. What prompted me to post here is the dwindling service. The wait staff try to memorize your order and they always forget at least one item or get something wrong. It's not usually an issue because I love all sorts of sushi and we usually order too much. Still, it's kinda weak. Yesterday we sent back a tuna cocktail which is Tina marinated in soy, sesame oil and has sesame seeds in it, because it tasted fishy (I think beach stank is the technical term). They took it back and told me the fish was actually a different kind of tuna than usual and that's why... OK ---THE KICKER--- - is that I requested my negitoro roll that was clearly forgotten and it came made of the now warm tuna cocktail I sent back minutes before. WOW!!! This chef should give his head a shake. Isn't it obvious that a negitoro roll is made with non-sesame oil marinated warm beach stanky tuna? Looking for a logical explanation but I'm lost for words. Come to think of it I think I should be insulted.

Flower roll :) a little spicy

The food is tops. Staff is excellent. The batter on the shrimp and vegetables is light. The soup has so much flavor.

Consistently good, fresh sushi. Try the Red Mountain Roll, the Ishi Yaki Bowl or Udon. Service can be iffy sometimes but the sushi is great.

Tenpura - seafood (slice of fish, seafood stuffed vegetable and vegetable(shiitake) 9 pieces of sushi Daily miso soup - clam Dessert - kinako and mitarashi dango Chawan mushi was great. I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Shari(sushi rice) was nicely seasoned with vinegar, very mild and which I liked it. Tuna was delicious. Sea breem(MADAI) was another good piece. Delicious. Aburi Toro was nicely seared. I wish this item could be a bit more softer and buttery, but it was still good. Akaebi(red shrimp) and Hokkaido sea urchin - Lightly torched the top of sea urchin and its smokiness brought out more sweetness flavor of Akaebi(red shrimp) Hokkaido Scallop - Very smooth, soft and nice texture. Delicious. Kinmedai(Gold eye snapper) -- My favorite. Texture was very soft and chewy, It was great item. Hokkaido sea urchin - Actually, this one was just ok. I wish it could be more creamy. Clam was delicious. It was good. Dessert - Kinako coated mitarashi dango -It was nicely chewy and soft. I wish there were more sauce on it. Overall, it worth visiting this place. The only problem is that so hard to get a reservation. Hopefully, I can get next reservation, may be next year.

We love Japanese cuisine so I decided to surprise the hubby with an omakase for his birthday in January. Unfortunately, they have a 6-month wait and I was not prepared so I ended up booking it for our anniversary in May. The food was phenomenal and delicious! I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!
