On my way to South Surrey / White Rock, lunch was calling my name. I had never been to this Cactus Club location before. Walked into a very well decorated interior layout & presentation. The layout of the interior, lighting, tables & bar are what restaurants should look like - amazing vibe & style. I was impressed. Sat out on the patio, which was closed due to the overcast sky. Nonetheless, it actually felt comfortable sitting there. Tried a new menu item - Scallop + Prawn Ceviche. It was excellent. Also went for the always reliable - Szechuan Lettuce Wraps. Both these items were stellar in taste & presentation. I had just enough room for dessert - the Chocolate Lava Cake. So good I wanted another one! The hosts & servers were warm & very pleasant. Cactus Club Cafe is great for a chill night out with great food and a curated atmosphere. It's got a perfect balance between casual and trend. It would be great for date nights, group dinners, or just grabbing drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, if the weather is nice i would recommend sitting in the patio area. We got the Butternut Squash Ravioli which not only looked great but also had the right amount of creaminess and flavor, and the Szechuan Lettuce Wraps were my personal favorite. Perfect starters or shareable bites. Our service was great and our food came out pretty quickly. There are reservations available and we were able to be seated right away even without one. read more

I wanted to make sure I did Dine Out at Cactus this year after missing it last year. Even though it was SOOOO busy, the staff were great! We started with drinks, and I was initially disappointed with one of the drinks I chose. I ordered a mocktail, but it turned out to be a canned sparkling beverage that they pour in a glass over ice; I wish that they mention that on the menu, but I ended up switching to one of the drinks I've had before and enjoyed that SO much more. Food was exceptional as always! I was really craving the Kale Salad the most lol so I had to make sure to get that. The butternut squash ravioli is top tier always, and our mains were devoured in an instant. We ended up not being able to finish one of the desserts but all were so good. I was bummed that the crunch bar was sold out that evening but I opted for the creme brulee and that was delicious! read more

If your planning to taste alcohol don't order the giant mule. At a price point of $60 it was not worth it. The biggest patio in Delta (their words) is closed. Seriously?? They are missing out on those of us that like to eat out but aren't comfortable eating inside during Omicrom. Nope. Not open. Next to a closed window doesn't work for us. We are trying to find a heated patio midway between Ladner and the North Shore. Other than craft breweries and coffee shops, there isn't much to choose from. North Shores has many excellent restaurants with heated patios. We will go to one of them or maybe Seasons in the Park. read more

Do NOT recommend, horrible service and staff. My family and I came to this location for dinner. When ordering dinner we asked if we could just have pasta with sauce for our children. My daughter doesn't eat meat and she remembered that Cactus does not offer a red tomato sauce without meat so we asked about other options. We were told that there was a creamy sauce and our waitress would check if they could put that on our pasta. She never got back to us but our food arrived with a creamy sauce on the pasta for the kids. The servings were incredibly small and my son actually ate some of his dads meal. When our bill arrived I was shocked to see that it was over $200. The "kids" pasta was charged at $26.75 EACH. I asked our server as this didn't seem right considering the small portion and a little sauce. She said that that is how she has to charge it, I said that isn't what we ordered. She asked if I would like to speak to a manger and I said yes. The manager told me the sauce was very "expensive" and that's what we were being charged for. I said you have charged us for two meals that we didn't order and that's not what we received. She said she would check with the chef and returned about 15 minutes later and took $12 off our bill which meant we were still paying over $20 each for a small plate of pasta and sauce for our kids. I said that the meal we are being charged for (Spaghetti Portofino) included shrimp that we did not get and I'm sure that accounted for more than $6 of the cost of the meal plus the servings were very small. Her response was that was the normal amount of pasta but she would go back to the chef again. We again waited 10-15 minutes for her to return with a new bill charging us $14 per Childs meal. She then told me that I should remember for next time that that is how they charge this meal. Her entire attitude and complete lack of care for the customer was appalling. This all could of been avoided if our server had simply said sorry and removed one of the pastas from our bill. We would of just paid it and left. I emailed Cactus about the service we received and they responded with a standard form letter response that they will use this situation as a teaching moment for staff. I asked if someone could please call me to discuss my concerns and weeks later I still have had no response via phone or email. Do not recommend this location. read more

Cactus Club seems to be the top dog right now in vibe, service, menu, and consistent quality! Last night my Modern Bowl with Glazed Salmon and Grilled Avocado was perfectly balanced in flavour and nutrition, and my wife's BBQ Duck Clubhouse with Yam Fries was also amazing. But I believe the money spent on the design of these places could address the audible environment. At the very least, reducing the bass end of the music would be a good start. The waitstaff is very complacent and doesn't give two cents about your experience and food service. Went in the other day and was seated in the lounge. Ok good so far. Then server comes by and takes order, and eventually our food comes out an hour later! then server disappears for most of the night chatting with her friends at other tables. We try to flag her down but she ends up ignoring us. Then I order dessert, and it takes another 45 minutes to get to the table. So the server sends her manager to deal with us, and the manager asks how did it go? I say poorly. Manager doesn't even try to understand what happened and just says oh well, sorry that it happened. Overall took over 2 hours to get simple food and dessert. Worst part was seeing our server bullsh*t with her friends and laughing about, while our food was late. I used to really like Cactus Club but I have been let down lately. All the female staff dress in black, skanky attire, long hair that is NOT tied back, and boobs ready to pop out of their tops! It was also very loud and noisy. I find it hard to eat in such a racket! My hubby, stepdaughter and I went there and ordered two steak dinners and chicken fingers and fries. Nothing too difficult it seemed. We waited. And waited. And waited some more. We couldn't even get our server's attention and had to ask another server for more beer. Even waiting for more beer took forever! I was ready to ask a manager where our food might possibly be. Even people who were seated after us got their food long before we did! Our server came over and told us that it shouldn't be "too much longer" and that the kitchen is really slow. Bull$#!t. I think she didn't squirrel our order to the kitchen and blamed it on them. I would rather them be honest and own up to the mistake. I have worked in restaurants and know that these thing can happen and I'm usually easy going can understand. We waited another 15 minutes until our food finally arrived. I found a long, blonde hair in my food but we couldn't get our server's attention and I was so hungry that I just picked it out and ate it my supper anyways! Of all the places to go and hang out with friends and eat, the South Surrey Cactus Club provides the best comfy spaces, and solid service to make you feel at home. I'm not shadowing Anita's review by any means for any reason, it's just coincidence, but I also love the Raincoast Greens. I'm NOT a salad guy usually, but this thing has everything on it. I stopped in here after driving all over western Canada trying to find a good place to eat. We had given up completely and decided to stop off in Surrey right before heading back into the states, and this place (I swear) magically appeared. We parked as quickly as possible and walked up to the door, where one of the front desk girls opened up the door for us. We were so happy to see such a nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. Walked straight up to the bar, and had a seat. Ordered: 2 Bellini's, 1 Summer Sangria, Diet Coke and Yam Fries with Garlic aioli. ALL of it was beyond delicious! The best chicken and potatos are in Cactus!!!!! I dont know how long this chain has been around but I have been enjoying their food, drinks and women for years. Even though I sometimes go with different women or with my wife I still love it. Salads are fine and fresh and wine is not a foreign thing either. They know what to recommend.
