This lively, fun cocktail bar has gorgeous ocean views and an incredible atmosphere. The service was fast and super friendly, and the staff made us feel right at home. The Drinks: The Old Fashioned was a huge highlight--it had a fun presentation and a great pour! The Food: The poutine was delicious and comforting, and the Poke bowl tasted super fresh. A wonderful spot for a fun night out by the water! read more

Although parking here is a little difficult, the food is definitely worth the trip. Very fairly priced and delicious. We tried the seafood pasta and it was so good. The poutine was a little salty, but otherwise no complaints. The vibe at the restaurant is really nice. There's also patio seating and the restaurant feels very roomy. read more

We dropped by for lunch on a sunny day. We received a friendly greeting from the folks at the host stand, chose an outside table, and enjoyed the beautiful view across the water. We opted for the short-rib sliders and the pork sliders. Both were tender and tasty and just the right amount of food for us. Their Malbec and Hazy IPA were nice complements to the meal. Our server (darn, forgot her name -- brunette with glasses) was friendly and remembered to check in on us. I heard a neighboring table ask question and rather than saying "I'm not sure" and leaving it at that, she went inside and returned with the answer. So tasty food, tasty view, and great service. read more

Was a good experience. They have done such a good job with the interior, part industrial, and a bit of a funky vibe... Love that. The food was good, I would say just overall average. Beer was ice cold. I had to leave it at a three just because the service was average. Wasn't great... wasn't bad... great service would have brought it to a four. read more

We booked a Mother's Day dinner reservation at The Ocean Beach well in advance and were really looking forward to the evening. When making the reservation, we were told that the patio could not be reserved. However, when we arrived, there were three empty patio tables available. When we politely asked to be seated there, we were suddenly told those tables were "reserved." That made absolutely no sense, especially after being told patio reservations were not possible in the first place. To make matters worse, the two young women working at the front were exceptionally rude and dismissive when we tried to understand the situation. There was no effort to accommodate us or even explain the contradiction in a professional manner. Needless to say, we decided to leave and went next door to Charlie Don't Surf instead, where the staff were warm, welcoming, and immediately seated us at a beautiful table facing the water. The difference in hospitality was night and day. Very disappointing experience at The Ocean Beach, especially on Mother's Day. Hospitality and customer service clearly need serious improvement. read more

I recommend you go on Wednesday as it is quiet and very intimate. We were there and had our usual seafood chowder which is out of this world!!! We liked this place so much we ate here twice while we were in White Rock for the weekend. The chicken sandwich is a MUST! The fries were perfectly crispy and delicious and they have some interesting beers on tap. We sat inside every time so we could watch some playoff baseball which they had going on every TV. There must be at least 10 TVs in this place because no matter where you sit you can see one. It was heaven! They also have Golden Tee and vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle video game machine. This spots a winner in my book! Pros Friendly servers Tons of TVs for sports viewing Killer chicken sandwich read more

Armed with complimentary gift card in hand, the fiancé and I went to The Ocean Beach for date night. It had been a few years since I last visited, so I was curious to see if the place had changed since new management took over. I fell in love with the restaurant from first impressions (and arriving in time for Happy Hour certainly helped too). The seating was spread out and spacious, with lots of upscale plants and greenery. The ambiance was lighter than I remember, leading me to feel like this was a cross between a pub and an upscale lounge. There was a mix of sit down and high top tables. We have gotten into the habit of trying out either Calamari or variations of Deep Fried Cauliflowers whenever we see it on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised with the Parmesan Crusted Cauliflower. Being used to differently sized deep fried mounds, Ocean Beach gets top marks for presentation for the Crusted Cauliflower. They were (to me) mouth watering vegetarian crab cakes. They were perfectly breaded and fried, and all the pieces were carefully pressed to be the same size and thickness. For a split second, I thought were given the wrong appetizer but I was mightily impressed from first bite to last. For the entrée, I ordered the Ocean Beach Burger and the fiancé chose the Beef Dip. I'm unable to comment on the Beef Dip (because he inhaled the sandwich), but I can safely say I enjoyed the Ocean Beach Burger. Delicious beef (sorry vegetarians), melted gooey choose, an interesting blend of sweet caramelized onions and sour aioli. I'm not sure if it was the brioche bun in itself, or the mix of everything in between, but I thought the bun was sticky and sweet. An interesting combination when I was always used to savory burgers, but it was well worth the try. Pro tip: make sure you have extra napkins on hand. Verdict: Fancy enough for date night, but nobody bats an eye if you stroll in there for a drink with the guys. Worth a return visit when the weather is warmer, so we can sit on the patio and enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. read more

My boyfriend and I found ourselves in White Rock one afternoon and was trying to find a place for lunch. We eventually ended up selecting here for the beautiful patio and wide range of items on menu (bf doesn't like fish). We didn't have high expectations because nice view doesn't always mean good food but we were amazed with how delicious the food was! We both got the crispy chicken sandwich but with sweet potato fries and he got a house salad and it was all delicious! The fries definitely were the better selection because they were perfectly crispy but the salad was still really good. The sandwich was very well sized, perfectly crispy, and loved that it had bacon on it! We would definitely come back again next time we find ourselves in White Rock! read more

This pub is AMAZING for all 3 categories! Food is great, service awesome, and ambiance is just what you want in a pub! Great job!

By far the BEST happy hour I've ever been to. Everything about this place is crazy good--the food, the ambience, the service, the VIEW!!! You pay a little more for the usual stuff like truffle fries but it is a price worth paying; their menu is delicious. With such high quality food, interior, and service its crazy that their highballs are an Earls price: $4 !! This place is a Whiterock gem! read more

This place is absolutely drool worthy!!! And what an amazing view overlooking the waters. Remember to get a patio seat on a nice sunny day! You'll enjoy the whole experience! I ordered the Red Wine and Apple Braised New Zealand Short Rib and Truffle Fries. Both were solid dishes I guarantee I'll be back here ordering this again and again. Not only was the short rib so tender and flavourful but that risotto was perfection!!! It was cooked just right with not one grain undercooked and the varieties and generous amount of delicious mushrooms in the risotto was fantastic! read more

We were welcomed in at the door. Busy but not crowded. The waitresses were very relaxed, so relaxed that they didn't really bother checking on us. We didn't know who our waitress was for like 10 minutes. She was even harder to wave down when we wanted our bill. Wasn't pushing for drinks, or appetizers, or anything, and wasn't overly hospitable. I'll likely not go back. My girlfriend would like to add that the beef dip wasn't very good. My burger was alright but they put so much garlic aioli on that it exploded out of the toothpick hole when I bit into it. read more

Couldn't get a seat at Uli's restaurant and wanted a restaurant with a view so we settled for this. I prematurely ordered the ceviche. Would've never ordered it had I known it would be shrimp cut up into small pieces. The taste was pretty off putting. The lime juice didn't taste fresh and the ceviche sauce was quite sweet. The seafood tagliatelle pasta dish had no flavour and a lot of oil. HOWEVER, the fish and chips was quite a delightful dish. Service was standard. Not sure if this restaurant would get more customers had it not been for the location. read more

WOW! We had a fabulous lunch today at the new 'OCEAN BEACH Crafts, Drafts and Eats', in White Rock. De lish food prepared with expertise and skill by Chef Rory. My beef dip was off the charts and each of the four of us very much enjoyed our meal choices! The staff are all so caring and their enthusiasm and pride is evident. A newly renovated restaurant creates a modern yet super warm and comfy environment. Enjoyed our ocean view including a partial view of the iconic White Rock pier! Check it out - you won't be disappointed! :) read more

They lost our reservation, made us sit outside in the cold. Told us a table should be ready soon. When the table was ready, they gave it to someone else saying they also reserved it. All this time we are waiting out in the cold. I had to talk to the manager and he 'magically' found our reservation. I was told 'email' is better than phone call to reserve. We had a few drinks and didn't get to food - decided to go somewhere else where it was warm. read more

Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Our server Cayla was great. Will return again.

Rude servers. Not tasty food. They are not even asking for anything else after first order. They are directly putting the bill on the table.

Took an hour to get two appetizers, waitress spent time talking to friends. We needed a glass for wine that came in a decanter so we got from bartender. Not impressed. read more

The Ocean Beach Crafts, Drafts & Eats - The Bar - Bars Near Me - White Rock, British Columbia

I do have to say the place and food is great but the service was actually disgustingand dishonest. The waitress Rylee told us her shift was ending and needed to bring us our bill. Asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I told her I would have 1 more beer but water for my friend because she was clearly intoxicated and had too much to drink. However, she went to my friend and told her I'll bring your bill and proceeded to whisper in my friends ear...you want another beer don't you? Obviously she said yes. She brings us 2 beers and our bills. I enter my tip and tap my card which was declined because my bank was down. So I return the debit machine to the waitress who then gives it to my friend to tap but while the waitress was pushing buttons on the machine she doubled her tip I gave her. My friend clearly not noticing cause she was so intoxicated tapped the machine with her card. The waitress thought we were both hammered and took complete advantage of us. But surprise Rylee I'm just naturally high on life and noticed every nasty thing you did.**Edit** I have a copy of my declined receipt which shows the amount I tipped and the approved copy receipt with the new tip she entered herself. If the waitress had to enter the tip again in the machine give me back the machine and let me do it. Dont assume you know how much i want to tip** read more

Ordered the OB Burger which was excellent! You can tell the kitchen is taking pride in every plate. Service was very professional, even with Covid precautions in place.
