Went to Earls on Thursday, January 29 for a birthday dinner and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I usually love Earls and this was my first time trying this location, which made the experience even more disappointing. Food and drinks took an excessive amount of time, and when the food finally arrived it was cold and bland. Although the food concerns were eventually addressed, everything took far too long to matter. The manager did not check in until after the bill was already paid. Drinks took close to 40 minutes with only one bartender working, and dessert was brought out after we had already settled the bill. Staff communication was not professional. Poor service, poor timing, and very disappointing overall--especially for a birthday dinner. Will not be returning. read more

Boyfriend booked a late night Happy Hour as part of our anniversary weekend celebration. It was great that there was parking close to the entrance and it was a full house on a December Saturday at 9:30pm. Earls gave us a handwritten Happy Anniversary card which was a really nice personal touch and so cute! We ordered the truffle fries and aburi salmon sushi to start. Boyfriend ordered a beer and I had a ginger ale as was still going through sugar withdraw after our recent trip to Egypt and Jordan where I indulged in multiple daily fresh fruit juices. Appies were solid and consistent. I ordered the Sante Fe salad, one of my faves, and it was delicious as always. Was a bit full so had to pack some of the salad to go. If I had known I would need to pack leftovers home, would have asked for the crispy tortilla straps on the side as they do get soggy overnight. Boyfriend ordered a pizza but could only enjoy one slice before we got full. We also had to pack that to go. Service was slower and less attentive than usual, probably due to the busy season and packed house, but still fine. read more

My family came into town and the five of us came for happy hour. I made a reservation, however the restaurant was not busy around 430 on a Thursday evening. It took 35 minutes for the manager to take our drink orders. Following that, it took an additional 13 minutes for the bartender to make two espresso martinis, pour two glasses of wine and one beer. I greatly appreciate the recognition of poor service by management and our first round was comped for this reason. Spinach dip is always a must! They took off the Cajun chicken sandwich off their physical menu, however, you can still order and it tasted even better ! I would definitely recommend coming here on a weekday mid-day if you want to avoid a full restaurant and loud music - because this place was packed full on a Saturday night - definitely made me feel uneasy during these pandemic restrictions. However, all the staff wore masks and there was plexiglass around but definitely a bumping vibe on the weekend. Reservations are definitely a suggestion on my behalf if you want to get in timely, I've seen line-up outside as well - especially during their opening weeks. I'll focus our more tame weekday happy hour experience versus our Saturday night adventure (which was my birthday, and they were sweet and signed a birthday card for me but the main food took 40 minutes to come out). Happy Hour had a good selection of food choices. We tried the Warm Spinach & Three Cheese Dip - AMAZING and MUST-TRY! It was cheesy, creamy and the crusty, buttered bread was a perfect couple with the warm dip. It was so delicious but very filling - a great sharing plate! We also tried the Calamari, a smaller portion than I thought but it was crispy, fresh and not overly oily. A nice mixture of squid and veggies. The chipotle aioli was creamy and had a nice kick of heat. The Bigger Better Burger with Fries was a good deal with Happy Hour. A traditional burger with a juicy beef patty and fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions all surrounded by a toasted brioche bun. I don't know of this was intentional, but the first time I had this burger here there was still a little pink in the middle, so the next time I ordered it, I asked for well-done to ensure it was fine for my pregnant-self. The fries were crispy and good. My husband had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl - a nice combination of fresh, soy marinated ahi tuna, avocado, cucumber, radish, mango, macadamia nuts all on top of jasmine rice. Service was always really nice and during the day, we loved all the natural light shining in through the skylights that highlighted the greenery inside. There is a heated patio area outside as well. Plenty of free parking. It's a great addition to South Surrey, with good food, service and Happy Hour deals. read more

Went for dinner here with my wife Saturday night. The 14 ounce ribeye was perfectly cooked as was the asparagus, best steak I've had in years. Had prawn Tostada as a shared appetizer and it too was very good except soft tostada would work better than crispy one IMO. The service from Bree made the evening that much more pleasant . She was very efficient without being in your face. We will be back for sure!! read more

Cant say enough about the great food, drinks and service I consistently receive at my favourite South Surrey Earls. However, on my last two visits, once at the bar, once in dining I've been distracted by what appears to be a employee holding office inside the restaurant. Im thinking he's a staff member as he eats no food, has papers and a computer stretched out in front of him as well as many staff come and go. I recognize this is a business but surely there's an office in the back somewhere for the poor guy. I come to Earls for great food, drink and to unwind from my stressful day. Sitting next to someone banging off on the computer and holding office is a negative distraction. More suited for a Starbucks, Timmies or better yet at home. Just sayin! read more

Not ideal for kids, food are all too salty for us. Probably intentionally to entice more drink orders. Service was also slow and our server was not readily seen. Had to flag other staff to take order, and bring missing table wares. read more

Do not recommend this appetizer...very little crab and the cheese was like they melted processed cheese slices. Says 'crisp market fresh vegetables' right on the menu when in reality we got half blanched dinner veg, a couple of peas, radishes & tomatoes. When I inquired if the vegetables were supposed to be blanched the waitress said 'oh yes half of them are and half of them aren't'. Strange offering with a mediocre at best dip. "Crab + Melted White Cheddar Dip 18.50 Jumbo Lump crab and warm melted aged white cheddar dip, crisp market fresh vegetables, toasted ciabatta" Drinks were good, fried chicken burger was tasty and server was friendly. Food and service is always great - friendly, consistent, great quality. The happy hour is a wonderful addition. For some reason, this location (Morgan Crossing) has the music SO LOUD during happy hour that it's almost difficult to have a conversation. I can understand why it might be louder as the evening progresses, but it's almost irritating earlier in the day for brunch or happy hour. We did ask for the music to be lowered a bit, but we have no idea if they did it or not. We could see that other tables were having some difficulty in communicating with each other as well ... not necessary! read more

First off- safety is always key during a global pandemic... and Earls Grandview Corners excelled in COVID protocols and making me and my family feel safe. Now let's talk food... the menu is great, the food is fresh, and as my cousin said "this is the best fish I have had". The decor is breathtakingly beautiful- it feels airy, clean and spacious. The plexiglass between tables is done in a classy way that doesn't feel like we're in a sci-fi movie, and all staff are very friendly and accommodating, even with their face masks on. Their wine selection was fierce and well-priced. Props to this Vancouver- based Canadian business and everything that they did for first responders and essential workers during the height of the quarantine. They have my loyalty! read more

I came into Earl's for Happy Hour after a long day at the hospital. Kudos to Johanna Smith, an amazing server - her warmth was contagious. And to to bartender who made me a first rate margarita on the rocks. Perfect amount of lime and salt. I am very picky about my margaritas. Earl's is so consistent - this restaurant never fails to deliver. At the end of a long day, I like that. read more

Go there with friends, stay for the flatbread. I was excited to hear that the new Earls in White Rock has a secret memu and just had to go on opening week when it was confirmed flatbread was on it.
