The ice was shaved finely, the condensed milk and whipped cream sweetened things well, but the mangos themselves were lacking in quantity. They have several flavours of taiyaki to choose from. It was a bit of a wait, but they're made fresh to order. The flavours were all good, but my faves were custard and 3 cheese.

Unfortunately, I did not catch the name of the cake, but it reminded me of a Hong Kong style coconut tart with some cream filling. The owner was friendly and chatted with us for a bit and explained to us the different display items. It is nice to have something different from the usual coffee chain options. Also, this is a great opportunity to try some items I do not usually see as menu items at other cafes or coffee shops. I plan to return to try the Turkish coffee on my next visit. I highly recommend giving this cafe a visit if you are in the area.

Pull apart was lighter than I expected. Other place's pull apart was so buttery, cheesy, however, this one was flaky and buttery, so, if you prefer light texture pull apart, you will like it. Cream cheese filling was nice accent. Pistachio loaf was more dense than I expected. It had pistachio whipped cream on top, so, cream helped loaf texture more smooth. Loaf had strong pistachio flavor. I liked whipped cream and loaf combination. Pesto and mozzalera swirl was a bit too salty for me. Dough was super flaky and buttery, I liked the dough texture so much, but filling could be more minder. Unfortunately, I did not have ferrero rocher danish. I heard that this one was the best. Mousse was so delicious and dough was very flaky and buttery. Overall, I think their pastries are always outstanding and good quality. The place was extremely busy and could not get a table. Next time, I wish I could dine-in.

It had everything -- protein, veggies, guacamole, and a slight taste of heat on the drizzled aioli sauce. My friend ordered the Oy oy oy bowl which she said was also tasty. Their menu has everything! It is super kid-friendly outside, featuring a wonderful yard with plenty of toys and things to do, which makes it incredibly relaxing for families. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visits. I highly, highly recommend checking out Medio Cafe if you are anywhere near the San Juan Islands. It was so good, and it's an absolute must-visit spot that we will definitely keep coming back to!

We then tried to order a salad, and were told that oh also that wasn't available. honestly felt like they just didn't feel like making anything. The only real option left was smoothies and açaí bowls. We ended up ordering three açaí bowls for the kids and a smoothie. At around $15 per bowl, the portions were shockingly small--only about a quarter full with five banana slice and three strawberries. one bowl was missing almond butter. The protein* smoothie couldn't be made properly because they were out of the protein powder. They offered to substitute collagen instead - not the same thing but ok. no discount. no acknowledgement. I understand that restaurants run out of items occasionally, but between most of the menu being unavailable, the outrageous price for the quality of the output, missing ingredients, and the complete lack of an apology or acknowledgment, this was a very disappointing experience.

I ordered a jasmine green tea with the Korean spicy chicken eggs Benny. Both drinks came out within a few minutes of our orders being taken and were delicious. I asked for extra hot water and they provided me with an extra small pot of hot water. My friend enjoyed her salad plus almond croissant and I really like the Korean chicken eggs Benny. I didn't think the chicken was spicy but it was juicy, tender, and had good flavours. I did ask the eggs Benny to be poached soft but it was more leaning towards medium but was fine since the yolk wasn't cooked all the way through (which I hate as it gets dry). Cute spot with nice service and reasonable prices (Benny's are $19 each). They serve breakfast, lunch, Happy Hour, and dinner daily with a cocktail and mocktail drinks, along with café tea, coffee, and lattes available. Would definitely be back and recommend to friends.
