Café 8

Café 8 is a family style café serves all day breakfast. The owner is from Taiwan and she ran her café previously in Langley for 13 years before moving to White Rock. She cares about customers and keeps good relationship with her customers. There are two couples keep going to her café every single day for 13 years although she moved to new location. Food is good. Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict is my favour. Sister ordered the Two Two Two. Oh, by the way, if you ever go there, you must try their hash brown. It's very crispy and fresh made everyday. Wow, this is the first time I wrote a long review. LOL.

Hot chocolate is niceeeee

Clean, prompt service, family owned. The nicest asian family. Average pricing. So many options. Fluffy pancakes, crispy hasbrowns, crispyi bacon, amazing hollandaise sauce. They even crisped my english muffin for the eggs benny. Scambked eggs are nice. Sausages are great and finished my meal with orange slices. I heard the fresh fruit rotates though. Maybe next time not oranges. Would come again. I drove all the way from New Westminster because i heard good things.

Omelette with yummy hash browns, toast and watermelon.

While the food is insanely good, the service is extremely slooooow. They take slow to a new level. 3 tables were occupied when I was there. While the server was quick to seat customers and bring menu, they were super slow in taking orders. Priority seemed to be to seat customers. I didn't realize two tables did not have their orders taken yet so it took a while to get to me. My coffee mug had lipstick stains on it and it took a while before I could catch the staff's attention to have a new mug. The classic and pancake breakfast are inclusive of coffee (refillable) which are pretty good at $16 inclusive of tax. I decided to get the pancakes. The bacon was made perfectly, one of the best I ever had. Crispy and not oily. The pancakes were fluffy. Eggs done over easy. Food was really good and portion was decent. I could not finish my pancake. In hindsight, I should have gotten the half order. I like that they have that option. 2-hour street parking is available. And it is CASH ONLY. They put up plenty of signs around the restaurant to remind customers. And the staff knows the regulars by names. Very nice. Come here if you're not in a hurry.

My partner and I went to the Morrison cafe yesterday afternoon for some lunch. We ordered beef dip,…read morea sandwich with chicken noodle soup, chicken strips and a smoothie. We were unsatisfied with the meal as there wasn't much flavour, smoothie was very bland and had chunks of ice in it, the soup tasted like water with one small chunk of chicken and maybe 6 noodles. Over all, we did not enjoy the meal and we let our server know as our plates had lots of food leftover. We were very kind to the waitress about it all it was no big deal to us and were not asking/looking for a discount but she was kind enough to take some off our bill! We appreciated it and made sure she knew it wasn't her fault. We made a review on google as have so many others! This was the response we received from the owner. We are gutted at not only the blatant disrespect but also the accusations made against us that are completely false. There is a lot of confusion around the wording of this response as it was just the two of us! All in all this was extremely upsetting to read and do not deserve this response in the slightest! I have attached our review and response as well as other responses the owner has made on other reviews. He has since edited his response to our review which I will also attach.
