A bit of a hidden gem in one of the medical buildings in White Rock. I've been spending quite a bit of time out in White Rock the last few months and have now probably been to every coffee shop in the area. Everbean is a wonderful hidden gem. Parking is a bit weird since there aren't any side streets or a designated lot, but I managed to find some residential parking towards the back to leave my car for 15 minutes. This isn't a standalone coffee shop, it's more so a large coffee stand within the medical building. The staff are extremely friendly and were probably some of the chattiest people I've talked with this year. Menu-wise, they have an assortment of coffees, teas, baked goods, and sandwiches. I decided to go for my usual - iced americano and a breakfast burrito. They have a few tables indoors and a cute patio set up and since it was a nice day, I sat outside. When my order was ready, they came and brought it outside for me and I got to enjoy my meal in the sunshine. The coffee was strong and and hit the spot, just the way I like it, and the breakfast burrito was tasty and filling. I've only been here once, but definitely would like to come back and try other baked goodies and treats. Thank you, Everbean!

Hot Chocolate Festival 2020 - Lucky Orange

We stopped by for the Hot Chocolate Festival. This is a cafe located in a medical building. We managed to find parking in the busy underground parking lot. The cafe is next to a pharmacy. There was plenty of seating available when we stopped by in the afternoon. There were two flavours to choose from and I picked the Lucky Orange. It was an orange flavoured hot chocolate which is a classic option. A orange dark chocolate dipped fortune cookie was served alongside. Pop rocks topped the fortune cookie which represented firecrackers for the Chinese New Year. I thought that was a great analogy. Service was friendly and efficient. The cafe ambiance is open and modern. However, it felt like I was in a lobby of the medical building as you see people walking to the pharmacy or going to the elevator.

Situated in a medical building in White Rock, Everbean Cafe is a hidden gem. I'm not a fan of going to the doctor and I see this cafe as a reward for taking care of myself. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They take the time to chat while managing to pump out coffee orders efficiently. They take care with the finishing touches on their beverages (which can often be seen splashed across Instagram by coffee lovers alike). They have a nice variety of sandwiches, pastries and baked goods. Everything is fresh and flavorful. While they do offer indoor seating, in the good weather, they also have a patio where you can enjoy your beverage outside taking in the fresh air. Not sure what to order? The staff are great at answering questions and making recommendations. Their seasonal menus always offer tempting delights and they have made it a safe, clean space to enjoy a latte even in these Covid-weary times.

The best coffee and sandwiches in White Rock! They use really good ingredients for their food items and coffee is 49th parallel :)) highly recommended to check out this place!

Awesome coffee shop tucked away near Peace Arch Hospital in the Hilltop clinic building. They serve parallel 49 coffee and offer tons of coffee variations (ie. pour over, espresso based drinks etc). They also serve Erin Ireland's to die for Vegan goods, which are AMAZING. There were lots of other baked goods that catered to different diets, and they do offer soups and sandwhiches which looked yummy. The only downside is I find it the prices pretty steep, it was close to $8 for a pour over and a cookie. However they are a local business which Id rather support over Starbucks!

The staff is very kind and on top of things! They'll make you feel at home. I ordered the Ham and cheese panini- The ham was AMAZING! We couldn't believe it was just ham, the smoke was perfect. Juicy and fresh tomatoes and fresh, dressed greens. I loved the mustard and paprika aioli- great combination, so flavorful and creative. The ciabatta bread was light, fresh and soft! I don't always love ciabatta but I think I've been made a believer. My husband had the Motown Philly. Delicious, huge portion. Tons of flavorful meat, cheese and onions and peppers, with great seasoning and care, and tender steak. The garlic aoili was a great addition to bring it all together. 10/10 some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I always thought that no one could ever top that Seafood Linguine from that particular seafood restaurant but you guys sure managed it somehow. Well done. Amazing. The sauce and the preparation of the clams and associated other bits of seafood in that dish were simply superb. Loved the use of tomatoes in the sauce. Well done. Food-wise, it was solid. I went with the schnitzel, which I'd recommend overall. It arrived nicely prepared and paired with spätzle (think German-style mac and cheese), which was rich and comforting. That said, the schnitzel leaned a bit on the salty side, so your mileage may vary depending on your preference. Service was fine but didn't particularly stand out, and the pricing felt slightly elevated for what's offered. All in all, it's a good option if you're in the area and craving schnitzel, but between the distance and parking situation, I'm on the fence about making a return trip.

It's been a while but I was predictably not disappointed! I ordered the Number 18 combo, delivered via UberEats. When the food arrived I opened the bag and found my peach Celsius, 18 sandwich, and oatmeal cookies. I first ate the cookies because I love a good oatmeal cookie. The chew was moist and fresh, tasting heavenly with a light sweetness from the raisins, and a pleasing texture. My idea of a good cookie. The number 18 sandwich, as always, was fresh, satisfying, filling, and clearly high quality ingredients. This isn't a Subway, so the turkey slices were real turkey, in chunks, with quality bacon and fresh veggies. Smashed out of the park~! The Celsius was tasty as expected and canned product that honestly won't affect my review of Big Star I will certainly be ordering from them again in future when craving a tasty sandwich, though might just on into the location. Uber eats prices can be expensive, and it's not far from my office, so in highly recommend going in to pick up. All said, the price and wait are worth the deliciousness~

As you would expect a sandwich shop to be, the place was small with several tables and a large menu above the counter divided by meat types. In hindsight, would have been better to go online and study the menu rather than ordering upon arrival. Eventually, I opted for a large #4 (Roast Beef, Bacon, Cheddar, Hickory Sticks, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo & Deli Mustard) while my husband opted for a large #17 (Roast Beef, Swiss, Creamy Horseradish & Demi-Glace Gravy). We also opted to make our orders a meal and added and drink and a small bag of chips. I'm not sure if it would have been worth it in hindsight; the sandwiches were quite large and a little on the pricey side ($16-$18) and the combo only saved us $1 each. With that said, the sandwiches were delicious. Mine was a good combo of comfort meat, mustard and the hickory sticks added a good crunch. I had a delicious bite of my husband's hot of the grill sandwich with warm gooey gravy. I would have to say that was a sandwich you couldn't take home to eat; you had to eat there while it was still piping hot. Overall it seems like a good place though the sandwiches are a bit pricy. I would say it's worth a visit if you have a coupon. If you don't, it may be worth considering ordering a smaller size and forgoing a combo if you are cost conscious.
